  • someone know what is the song at the end ? i have ( i think ) all the who recorded songs and i can't find it :(

    it seems a nice song

  • Long live the greatest band in history!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • YEEEEAAAAHHH!!!!!

  • the guy at 9:32 ^^ when you do this today, you have a bloody nose

  • THE WHO!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Played bass while in school--Mr Entwiistle was one of my gods along with John Paul Jones of Zep & a few others. Johnny was eternally cool...

  • @sweetgypsy100 & pino palladino he is amazing : )

  • @Apothtolith -- Agreed!!

  • that organ all most as impressive as mine;)

  • @woojoke -- Cheeky!! :)

  • I want to punish you Townshend

  • 5:40 The organ starts to pulsate, as the drums and guitar play off each other, only to reform with the organ, as Pete at 6:32 gives the signal to commence the greatest rhythm sound ever recorded. Truly making this the greatest rock song in history!

  • LONG LIVE THE WHO!!!!! AND GOD BLESS KEITH MOON WHEREVER HE IS!!

  • Moon is the drumming God !!!!!!

  • actually Ginger baker of Cream was one of the best drummers as well in those days . Also Iron butterfly drummer & Grand-funk Drummer as well .

  • @RELATEDXXX There's plenty of greatness to appreciate all around.

  • wen i die, i wanna have a drink with keith

  • Somewhere Keith Moon and John Bonham are teaching someone how to play "perfect" drums.

  • I love the STONES....BUT THE BEST FUCK 'N ROCK BAND That ever graced a stage was the WHO. Pete, Keith, Moon & Roger....They gave us great records, but no 4 guys ever could recreate what these Men did on stage!!!!

  • @1stSaintsFan man its pete roger keith and jhon. keith family name is moon T___T

  • 30 people think Linkin Park is the greatest rock band ever.

  • what's the song used at the end?

  • @rodrigosz97 It's called "Rock is Dead---Long Live Rock", also by The Who.

  • @rodrigosz97 Long Live Rock, from the Odds and Sods album.

  • surely the most gifted individual that has ever graced the planet.....without keith moon the who weren't the who,,he was the glue that held the band together,,,,,,,,utter genius,,,,,,there has never been, nor ever will be, anyone that can produce such unique brilliance from a drum kit. RIP Keith,,,,,if you'd lived for longer, the stones would have always been a very poor relation!

  • FRIGGIN MAJESTIC! Every bloody second of it!

  • Wooooooooooow!!!!!!!

  • Thks A very Good Video Post !! The Bloody WwHo

  • my knees hurt @2:51

  • I can't see in the phone, please change settins, it's the best video of this

  • Please, unfree for mobiles, o can't see

  • I remember being at one of their gigs at the front like the audience .. same sound setup .. I cant tell you how fucking LLOOOOOUUUUUDDDD it was .. in fact I cant hear myself writing this.

  • @morklind ...but you typed it, so obviously...

  • if i had a time machine this concert would be my first stop!

  • The producer of CSI: Miami is a genius choose this diamond for soundtrack of the series

  • REASON, EMOTION & TRUTH;

You see, most popular entertainers, corrupt politicians, religious 'leaders" and denominational "church" preachers have accepted Satan's offer 666 for fame, money and power......just as long as they "worship" him and lead others away from obeying the Lord God Jesus Christ. I have the evidence.

    Private Investigator Sinne

    U.S.A. Washington

  • wish you could get that close to the stage now.... the age i am i just missed out on it

  • when i picture rock n roll in my head i think pete sliding across the floor and roger screaming his balls off. to bad its used for a shitty crime drama.

  • Two words: HELL YEAH!

  • What can you say? How about "fucking EPIC!"? From 7:35 to 8:05, probably 30 of the greatest seconds on film in the history of rock music... and the other 9 and a half minutes ain't too shabby, either...

  • Some of my earliest memories are of the Who and Beatles on my brothers huge old headphones. We wanted to play the Who at our mothers funeral but thought that our conserative family would object. Like the song goes life is for the living. Love the Who !

  • He scream can scared away satan

  • the Who was easily the most physical band ever by a large margin. That's even with Entwistle barely moving.Well his fingers are kinda moving though aren't they ?

  • @ydor "Kinda moving?"

Have you seen his 2000 bass solo?

  • @thewriter1008 yup seen them all kinda moving was a euphemism for krazy ass quick like.

  • @thewriter1008 yeah that was tongue in cheek.Entwistle is again easily the best rock bassist of ALL time.Yes ALL time. It's an envitable fact.

  • @ydor Don't know about all time, but he's easily my favorite. Muse's bassist is good, too.

  • Fantastic but the concert for NY city for me was from another planet. I never thought i'd pick anything without Moon but it was just mega, they owned that stage on the night, goosebumps every time i watch it.

  • love the lights saw the lights in Philly once

  • these guys absolutely were the best! their music and presence just suck you in! There is no rock group today that is in the same class...except maybe U2!

  • @DianeMS57 There are a few, but not many of them have this kind of live performance.

  • @DianeMS57 U2 come nowhere near

  • That song was the first I learned to sing in English, I really love that record and like "Live At Leeds" I have it in three diferent editions. I SAY: LONG LIVE ROCK! LONG LIVE THE WHO!! I NEED IT EVERY DAY!!!

  • 7:50 gives me hope for humanity

  • The whole concert is available now on Live At Kilburn

  • thumbs up if you comehere to facebook too

  • i dont have words to describe how i feel when i whatch this video.

  • a special 'lol' to pete, beautiful song anyway ^^

  • Faster cutting isn't better cutting. The Polydor Classics original from The Kids are Alright is better. IMHO, it's incredibly distracting and irritating when you're trying to see a master at work (e.g., Pete's solo at 3:50) and the editing's jumping all over the place, not to mention completely ruining 7:46-7:55...although I have to admit it's hot to see Roger's mike twirling at 3:00.

  • 7:49

Roger Daltrey just had an immense orgasm due to how awesome this song is.

  • Keith Moon The greatest fucking Drummer ever and John Bonham \m/

  • without doubt the best fucken drummer in r&r fucken rock on Keith.. heaven now has the drummer from hell

  • @MrJohnGarrido -- Glad u included Bonham in that line as well!!

  • John Entwistle just looks so bored and content with this whole thing-Pete and Roger are just flailing and he is just like "yeah...I'm pretty cool here. you guys go have fun..."

  • John Entwistle did the three things I love most in life - bass, bitches and llello.

    You're missed, Thunderfingers.

  • What does Daltrey yell at 8:03 after "meet the new boss, same as the old boss"?

  • @ferrariparty Sounds a bit like "He got me!", except not really...???

  • @TheSanityInspector Yeah, it sounds close to what I was thinking. To me it sounds like he says "he got ya" or something like that

  • Funny, the cameras are as follows:

    Wing Cam

    Pete Cam A

    Pete Cam B

    Roger's Pit Cam

    Moonie Cam

    Ox Cam

  • @Superpickle1st22nd Thank-You for your service. God Bless. yes today is all crap....no worries, i expect my son to turn the corner and start to like real rock & roll someday. At least he likes Journey....

  • *Turn up the volume to max* "YEAAAH!" - Me Gusta.

  • 7:50 Joe Satriani picked up his first guitar & Victor Wooten picked up his first bass.

  • dont you love the scream

  • I saw this live Dec 6 1976. A life changing event for sure! Townsend sliding across the stage on his knees!

  • I saw this live Dec 6 1976 at the newly opened Pontiac Silverdome! A life chaging event for sure!

  • YEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I can't drive and listen to this song. I end up with the convertible top down doing 95 mph weaving through traffic while standing up and pumping my fist in the air.

  • Now, that's a rock anthem!

  • Gotta love the "Moon Cam"

  • I still get a boner listening to this and I`m nearly 50 !

  • Too bad Pete is so drunk.Screws up a lot.

  • No habra nadie que los supere

«The Who ~ My Generation» "The Kids Are Alright" (Kilburn 1977)

  • Daltrey's 67. Townshend's 65. The others are dead. And nobody has ever come close to filling their shoes.

  • @dawoool You got that right.

  • I think this is the only clip of the Who I've seen where Pete looked more coked-out than Keith. Awesome.

  • Classic

  • Where and when was this?

  • @Bassbooster14 Shepperton Studios, Kilburn 1977 Filmed live for "The Kids Are Alright"

  • AWESOME!

  • Imagine how awesome bands like these would have been if they had the equipment that is available today !!!!

  • @hoplite46 Imagine that these great bands would never have had success if they had started music nowadays.

  • @VintersorgUmarth I mean if todays tech had been available then. We would have been left great recordings of every single note . Ahh well still a legendary band

  • @hoplite46 I understood that. But, I do not think it would have been a good thing: the modern stuff gives you a modern sound whatever you do, even if it is called "vintage". And as a musician, I can assure you that everything I wish I could do it is buy me a bass made during the 70's or 80's.

  • @VintersorgUmarth Yes I know but the quality of the recordings would have been much better. Imagine the Who in HD Live ?? Awesome!!!

  • It look's like 29 people are ok with their new boss

  • A timeless masterpeice.

  • Who could ever dislike this video?...

  • Great job on this video.

  • Pete stated that they were all wasted on this day and they had a great time regardless. Unfortunately,Moonies alcoholism had taken a firm hold and his days were numbered. Long live The Who.....even off their heads they are untouchable.

RIP Keith John Moon. You are with me each & every day.

  • Looks like they are on the shit!!!!!!!

  • love it but the audio needs to be kicked up a few gazillion notches

  • 7:50 was so epic i would like to sit on that stage and be like Pete powerslided this stage

  • Awesome talent, great song, and ridiculous efforts at choreography, LOL

    YEAAAAHHHHHHH!!!

  • HA HA, ITS A WONDER RODGER DIDNT KILL SOMEONE WITH THAT MICROPHONE !

     YEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH.

  • AWESOME, SIMPLY AWESOME !!!!!

  • Classic Thunderfingers.

  • Most guitarists do guitar poses on stage, only pete can pull off a dance with his guitar.

  • 7:49 YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH ! Epic !

  • 29 people have been fooled again.

  • You've just got to hand it to the British Bands of the 60's & 70's bloody brilliant love em all, special mention to the Zeps,,,,,rock on....

  • Thunder Fingers ! I miss the OX !

  • Wonderful song ! I’m 11 years old and did a cover of that song. If you wanna check it out…. Greetings from France !

  • Not as good in my humble opinion as the recorded version on the LP who's next. Slower doesn't necessarily mean less powerful...

  • @rivertothesea

You'd have to hear it @ 120 decibels to truly appreciate it. ;)

  • that is a monstrous bass tone.

  • cocaine is a wondrous thing...

  • I saw The Who perform this in concert in Toronto when I was in college in 1981 - great show, but "Won't Get Fooled Again was lacking without Keith Moon...

Wish I could have seen him play LIVE...

  • Pete Townsend is worth every penny he earned for writing this song, as well as the rest of the Who for for performing it. RIP Moon & Entwhistle.

    Greatest protest song ever!

  • Entwistle - love the sound of his Alembic bass with rotosound strings. Class act!

  • Nice job, how did you get the footage to re edit? Or is this available for sale.

  • Thumbs if you were born too late

  • @Awtioh Not me. I saw them four times between 1973 and 1978 !!! Glorious !!!

  • @Awtioh way way wayyyyy too late :/

  • @Awtioh i wish i was borne at the time, but i don't regret being born in 95, because being young rules!!!!

  • @nardomaluco I'm born too in 95 and i don't regret, but i wish if i could just go back few years ago to see some things and come back to now

  • @Awtioh that would be sweet!!!

  • @Awtioh Stop begging...

  • The Who, The Beatles, Small Faces, The Stones, The Kinks and a very few others lit the fuse! I was fuckin' there! Without Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Jerry Lee, etc no rock....Without these bands no U2, Quo, Queen, Bowie, Pink Floyd, etc then no LIVEAID

  • 9:40-9:45 fan almost K.O.s Roger Daltrey!

  • @VdGGfan I know but Roger is a pretty strong and tough guy!!! When he use to fight with Pete and Keith the fists would do the talking!!

  • If I had a time machine, seeing The Who perform live would certainly top the list. Other world history events could wait till later haha.

  • @Vincentvuoto for me

    3. Hendrix at Monterey

    2. Beatles Rooftop Performance

    1. The Who either Kilburn, Woodstock, or Leeds all of them are badass

  • Timeless

  • the who era de longe na minha humilde opinião, melhor banda de rock dos anos 60 e 70... Beatles eram só produzidos...bons sim!!!mas pura produção de mídia...who era só alegria e rock nas veias!!!

  • ABSOLUTELY BLOODY BRILLIANT !!
