  • 18 months later, and obambi is plummeting down in a spiral. It won't take a genious to figure they made a mistake, a huge one that is, to elect a clown with no experience in anything but "community organizing" into such a powerful position.

  • YES - one termer.....just wait ! obama the great fraud-liar- ...uʍop ǝpısdn sʇı sǝʎ ɹɐıן ƃıq ɐ sı ɐɯɐqo

  • I'm suppose to believe that this man has the prescience to predict Obama will serve only one term?? The same man that thought Romney would be elected?!?!!? Are you fucking kidding me?!!?

  • Clearly, Dems will lose the Congress and possibly the Senate. Then Obama has only two choices: run to the center like Clinton and BARELY squeak out reelection, while angering his base... or stay to the left and become a one-term failure like Carter. Because let's be honest, Clinton ONLY squeaked by in re-election because he listened to more reasonable people like Newt Gingrich, Bob Dole, Dick Morris, and Alan Greenspan. Dems are always one-termers unless they listen to Republicans (aka adults)

  • Alex Castellanos, you have made an illogical comment. In fact, he did not "dodge the question." Taking time to think about what you say before you speak is a legitimate reason. It is quite evident that Ed Henry did not spend enough time thinking about his question; thus making a fool out of himself. Simple as that. Get back to speculating about the real concerns about America rather than speculating on him being a one termer.

  • shelton962...back to you.Obamatron!

  • Obama: I like to know what I'm talking about before I speak.

Alex: I like to speak before I know what I'm talking about.

  • "And now we turn to our clearly mentally retarded correspondent from the right."

  • FUCK YOU, Alex Castellanos!!

  • This guy is an idiot.

  • yep!...can't think of a more appropriate word

  • That was the zenith of mongoloid reasoning.

  • hahahahahahahaha. wow. castellanos is so full of hot-air i'm surprised the guy doesn't float. you can almost tell he doesn't have any idea what he's saying. it's as if his blow hole just opens, and whatever comes out is beyond his control. not to mention he looks like he just woke up with a terrible hangover.

  • What an imbecil. If Obama gets us out of this with free medical care and ends dependence on foreign oil he will be reelected. Just like Clinton would have been for a third time if he had been able to run. Screw the deficit and the foreign debt. People care for their jobs and homes today. If he fixes the mess we are in they will kiss his dusky butt. Screw everything else.

Which may be wrong but first things first.

  • Well, Obama's approval ratings are floating around parallel to Reagan's first term (actually higher), so I'm not sure where this moron figures telling a football coach CNN reporter to stick his foot in it is going to really effect that. Besides that, the GOP is having a serious crisis in leadership. Gregg will not be able to take on Obama, which leaves Palin (haha), Romney and Huckabee, with a potential dark horse retired general or something, because there's nothing else out there.

  • Exactly. It is mister lets-throw-trillions-at-the-problem-and-invest-in-the-future or the delusional neocons and their 19 page panphlet full of nonsense and catch phrases. I'll go with the black guy, thank you very much. At least he is trying.

Tomorrow a coke may cost five dollars but since we have no saving worth mentioning, lots of debts and our investments "float" I don't really think we should be afraid of 200% inflaction over a few years. We would actually be better off.

  • "Tomorrow a coke may cost five dollars"

Fortunately, this is not going to happen. It's mostly hype from the right (and our crazy friend Ron Paul). Inflation will only occur at this level if foreign countries agree to stop buying our debt and fortifying their currencies with dollars. Oddly enough, MORE people are buying dollars because the global crisis is scaring people. This is pissing China off, which is why they are campaigning for an IMF reserve currency outside the dollar.

  • NEVER think that a government will behave like a business.

Tomorrow China could invade indonesia and half of southern Asia and stop needing the US as a customer. Then it might be expedient to wreck the US economy.

  • "Tomorrow China could invade indonesia and half of southern Asia and stop needing the US as a customer."

Um, no it couldn't. I mean, maybe in the crazy planet in your head, but no... It couldn't.

  • You REALLY think so?!? Who do you think the Chinese are? They are not the Dutch or the Thai or the Irish. They are the Chinese empire with a new name and new customs. Today trade is good. Tomorrow the US stops buying and oil keeps on going up and the fertile land of Indonesia and its oil start looking good.

If they have to they can raise an army of 100,000,000 men. And now they can equip them and supply them. And the US gets told to butt out of Asia. By someone who can make it stick.

  • I mean no offense to you, really, as I've been active in the Free Tibet campaign and have Taiwanese friends that would probably share the same impulses as you, but what you're saying is deeply disconnected from the reality of what is happening in Chinese culture right now. "

If they have to they can raise an army of 100,000,000 men." That just made me giggle.

  • The Chinese have always been people like anybody else. Proud and arrogant but not more than anybody else. But I see them as a threat. They are not like us culturally. And our culture has not made us less dangerous.

I remember Tianamen Square. I hear about the prosecution of that weird sect that seems to me to be harmless. They are not different. They have changed tactics and they have adapted to the times. They may not want to conquer the world but all of Asia they could. Easily.

  • China has no interest in conquering all of Asia. They could not conquer all of Asia "easily" even if they wanted to (please tell me where you read this). They are certainly imperialistic, but more like the United States was in the 1950's, not England in the 1750's.

The very nature of a global economy makes conquest inefficient and to the conquering country's lot.

  • Please tell me you are kidding. Of course China will go on as it is. But only as long as the going is good. They have one and a half billion people to feed in an ecologically derelict country. Trade produces money and industrialization produces goods for the internal and foreign markets. But if things went sour they would not sit and wring their hands while the mobs howl for food and jobs outside their windows. And "easily"is not a factor for the Chinese military. Lost lives don't matter

  • I do hope you're trolling. That's just ridiculous.

  • You think China is another England?!? That they would just sit and watch everything crumble around them?

  • I'm saying that even though they have a whole lot of problems that's a far stretch from saying they are going to conquer half of Asia. Malthusian appraisals of our "enemies" are usually wrong. And historical comparisons to empires past simply do not apply now. All nations have a vested interested in keeping G20 economies afloat. If China fell apart, so would the United States. Do you think we're just going to fall apart because of China?

  • No but THEY may fall apart because of the US. We live in a world that is a house of cards. China was, is and will be a world apart from our western civilization. Wisely they are grabbing all they like and can use of it but they are not different from what they were.

China was called All Under Heaven by the Chinese. They still think so. It is not so much that they want to conquer the world as that they want to have a large degree of control over it. But if things get really bad...

  • If we lived in a world that was a "house of cards," the internet would not be working as bank after bank would have become insolvent and utilities companies packed it up and shut down. Prisons would close and convicts would be raping your children. So no, we don't exactly live in a world that is a "house of cards." We live in a world with trillions of dollars in liquidity. Despite recent corruption, the global financial system will endure. It will take time, but we've weathered far worse.

  • It IS a house of cards and if Dubia and then Obama had decided NOT to bailout anybody or anything you would see it clearly.

And as for prisons...in California they are talking of closing prisons and releasing tens of thousands of inmates because the conditions are "cruel and unusual" and the state is running out of money.

And 11 of those trillions and half the stock market's value have disappeared. If Obama sneezes it could get a LOT worse. It is a house of cards.

  • In California they are talking about releasing people who are on drug possession (particularly marijuana) offenses. Which is a good thing given the fact that a rapist can be given parole while some guy who had an ounce of dope is still sleeping in the bunk below him.

I highly advise you to read more history books. As to the house of cards thing, I advise you to read books about economics, the Great Depression, and so on. Thanks.

  • Alex Castellanos: Hack.

  • "The Republicans are like an arsonist who complains that the fire department is wasting water. Unless and until they do offer an alternative, they really have no right to whine about the president. For now at least, GOP stands for Got 0 Plans." PAUL BEGALA, 03/25/08, CQPOLITICS.

  • No, I don't claim to be an "expert", just an intuitive person who pays attention to trends and popular thought.

  • kai1952, you are not an "expert" but an intuitive person who pays attention to trends and popular thought? Hm, that reminds me of somebody on Foxnews explaining why he failed to predict the outcome of the Iowa caucus. What is the name of this guy again? Yes, DICK MORRIS!!! I am glad that I recorded the segment where he made this prediction...

  • lool, Castellanos says the darnest thing.....from and I quote:

"listening to Obama is like having Sex"

    "Republicans supporting Obama are wussy"

    ......and now this shit.

  • Oh Right Wingers... what are you going to pull out of your asses next?

  • So all you liberals think its ok for YOUR president to sign bills without reading them? Wow, you are too trusting.....

  • Once again Republicans are throwing crap up against the wall hoping it sticks. Trying to make something out of nothing. They just can't bring Obama's ratings down while theirs continue to fall. everyone sees that they are trying to make this country fail purely to gain power. Traitors.

  • if you're going to call someone a "dimwitted hack", at least bother to spell their name correctly....

  • CNN = The channel FORMERLY known as the most trusted name in the news !!!

  • We won't see Obama in office in 2012??? WOW!!! I guess you are one of these "experts" who said Hillary would beat Obama and McCain would win by landslide "because the country is not ready for a black president".

  • Repugs and their predictions! No one predicted the breach of the levees - no one predicted airplanes as missiles... on & on. Repugs are the worst thing that ever happened to We The People and yes... it IS hard work cleaning up Repug destruction - we do it every time they get their boney fingers around the neck of power. They should all shut their filthy parrot-holes while normal people clean up their messes - again.

  • Castalanos is a dimwitted hack

  • That Repub hack is so pathetic. Must have gotten the memo to become an extra piece of shit that night.

  • 2:10 of my life ill never get back, how does worthless shit like this make it past the new editor at CNN?

  • Alex Castellanos should get fucked in the ass by Rush while Glenn Beck licks his balls.

  • Alex Castellanos = Republican Hack.

  • Obama's comment was straight to the point and appropriate.

  • You wish Mr.Botox man..I love Paul's answer he took the words out of my mouth

    Obama/Biden 2012!!

  • All I have to say is, if I'm still alive in 2012, I'm voting for Obama again if he runs for a second term. Simple as that. Alex is wrong on this because the majority of America is on Obama's side, and if he gets even 50% of what he promised to be accomplished, than that's more than enough for me to vote for him again.

  • Alex is a big Idiot!! OH MY GOD.

  • repubs are so very desperate.

  • I thought in the press conference, Obama made his point: Basically, America can not sit on its ass anymore. And its true.

Things are happening to us, because we all are trying to get something for nothing. We have to have real practical skill behind what we do, we can't just live off our legacy alone, and if we don't change the way we do things-why do we think everything will just heal?

Really, the whole country's mad, but Obama has the ONLY good ideas! Everyone else's are HORRIBLE!

  • correction, the republicans have actually admitted they have no answers.

When asked about alternative spending bills, they admitted to having none.

They didnt want feds touching the exec bonuses but now are outraged about exec bonuses.

They have no answers, they only seem to be sure that the president is always wrong because he disagrees with them.

  • The president is not the only one who gets IMPATIENT when REPUBLICANS have "Tough Questions" about the ECONOMY.

I get pretty fucking impatient with that too, since they just got done screwing ours up beyond belief, after inheriting a shrinking deficit from a democrat in 2000.

REALLY. Can we not see who is bringing the country down? Can we not see how the right fights a vicious PR war all the time, just to get back in office and screw MORE stuff up? I AM IMPATIENT WITH THAT BULLSHIT TOO!

  • that guy is so irrelevent he shouldn't even be on tv. why did shuster start off w/ him?

  • alex castellanos is just full of wishful thinking -- obama is a policy master, where bush was a moron... what planet is this guy from??? and cnn is just a mouthpiece for the right... george bush never worked hard in his life! these GOP'ers ain't very manly if they think obama's little retort was 'angry'... clearly they've never worked for an abusive company

  • Yeah, it almost seemed like a blatant attempt by Castellanos to create something that wasn't there at all.

I think Obama thoroughly kicked Ed Henry's ass in the question, and I think a lot of people agree with me. I think the people who don't agree are the same old whiners from the right, who will just never accept any answer Obama gives them. If Obama really did cut the deficit in half by the end of his firt term these guys would still say "Oh, he's doing really dangerous, stupid things"

  • Obama is the man!!! Thats why he's president. Can anybody imagine if McCain in da Membrain and Sarah Failin were P and VP after seeing all the shit thats out there????? Holy shit... I wonder if Ed Henry's tryin to be the new republican leader... but after seeing this video, I wonder if Alex Castellanos is fighting for the front runner position...

  • CNN has always sucked too me

  • He forget NO ONE read those damn bills they passed shit not even the Press.

  • bah! you see what you wanna see.

  • New code word for the Republicans, "Arrogance." It is code for ,"Uppity Nigger."

From Rush Limbaugh on down, they want to see this African American fail, even if it means the country will go down with the President.

Shame on these narrow minded Republican Bastards!!!

  • LOLOL. Why do they want failure so bad? What has he done wrong already? Why did it take so long to show public outrage, lol. Is that yall best attempt at discrediting the man? lol

  • watch?v=RXzXrEOaS1I

He's doing it himself. Brush up on what's really going on.

  • Of course they will find contradictions in Obama's statements. That's Hannity. He has never liked Obama. You can make a tape like this for Bush or any other President. Every president uses rhetoric to get him or her elected, that's the whole idea. At the end of the day all candidates want to win, so they will say what sounds good, but this is a case of choosing the best candidate and in this case Obama is that candidate. So are you saying McCain was a better candidate for our current situation?

  • I lean more towards Ron Paul, the write in candidate. I dont disagree at all with the 'every president goes through this' thing. But at the same rate, i don't feel we've had a real president since JFK.

  • venom1617:

"I dont disagree at all with the 'every president goes through this' thing. . . i don't feel we've had a real president since JFK."

JFK didn't have a 24hr a day news cycle to deal with. The "News" orgs have a tendency to CREATE NEWS if there's no news to report. In that scenario JFK would be treated similar to they way Obama is.

His every word would be nitpicked & misinterpreted & you would see as much contradictory footage of JFK as any contemporary politician

    21 Century

  • I think the key difference here for me though, is we'd be seeing better results. Maybe not even an Obama or the sad choices before him.

  • wow, he's good, kinda made me worry before begula came thru

  • Only because he comes out of left field, and makes you think "Wow, I didn't notice that, is that really what people got out of that conference/question?"

But no, thats just what he's saying. It's what he'd like to believe, in truth, Obama pwned the guy who asked that question.

  • blah blah blah. if your fooled by old bush politics then f you!

why dont republicans take responsibility for helping bush murder millions and destroying america? clinging to the fact that there are some corrupt dems doesnt justify anything and i wonder how u fukn sleep at night. fuk you republicans pigs!

  • instill doubt. Predict failure. Keep the viewers divided.

  • It's sad that it works.

  • Maybe he should do like Bush and hand pick his audience and reporters.

  • This mustached pussbrain needs to suck his own severed cock till death.

"hints of a one term presidency" are you fucking kidding me?

CNN is worthless garbage, and gets worse every year.

  • Wow - a Republican hack predicts Obama as a one-term president. That's just amazing...

    Not

  • 47f0, It's disgraceful.
