@benchod94 It will be soon. There is an agreement due to be signed between the two countries in the next month or two, I think. It states that an Icelandic citizen can travel to and stay in Canada without a visa for up to one year and vice versa. :)

DuncanLafayette - It is true that there is a higher than average suicide rate, but that is true of many northern countries.

Icelanders are indeed individuals, but I see that as a positive attribute. Icelanders are also friendly and genuine people.

I never found the Icelandic winters to be a problem, but then I have also lived and worked in Russia :-)

I find the English winter to be far more miserable. The constant wind and rain is enough to send anybody around the bend.

Ok, the country is spectacular and the wild landscape is really impressive, but there´s something wrong with the people there....Icelanders are extremely individualistic, and they have the highest suicide rate in Europe among teenagers, specially after Christmas. It´s not a paradise, personally I prefer southern countries like Spain, France or Italy...less income but better life

In these years, Italy is becoming unlivable.. bad income and everything is becoming too expansive... and surely it's not a good country to raise your children.. If you want to come in Italy as a tourist, yeah I'm sure you'll like it so much; but if you are thinking to move here, well, don't do it..
