I love this brush. and u just use it so well too... kinda makes me feel like drawing something with it right now XD. nice job, good control, good weight and over all drawing
@toasty100 Hi! I had to pay even more for my first brush pen as it is difficult to find it in my country and I had to ask my friend to buy it for me in Germany. So I paid for mailing as well but I do not regret as I desperately needed this pen and I do not know any better alternative to the brush pen from Pentel for the time being. It has long lasting fiber tip and if you use it as a professional artist it will bу repaid very soon.
please... drawn a chinese nightingale i want tattoo one and i didn't found none as i like... something that reminds the history of the nightingale and the rose...
@codornani any one can learn to draw. spend a few hours a day drawing (and researching artists) and you will see a big improvement in just a few months. p.s. keep all your sketch books and date them
@bblue82 Dude you don't know what is art... Maybe your better than him maybe not.. But fuck man can't you edmire something that isn't made by your damnd hands! Fuck these people!
i dont think you understood the point of my post. i was being encouraging to codornani. i never said i didnt enjoy the drawing. that is, after all, why im watching the video :)
I like how depending on pressure you can get a variation of thick and thin lines with the Pentel brush pen. I'm going to have to buy one of those to use in my artwork. I currently use a black Sharpie fine point. They go for about 2 hours of continuous use before running out of ink, and they are cheap, but I think my drawings would really improve in quality with a Pentel brush pen. Great work! I see how you refine the details in stages. That's the way I roll too. Thank you for sharing!
@igor4art: I'd be interested just to see a small part of the hatching in real time. Also, I was wondering - were you working from a reference, or did that drawing come entirely from your imagination?
@lpbaker68 I used to draw a lot of pandas using photos as reference. I have drawn them many enough to be able to draw from imagination now. However, I try to look at several photographs as references to form the idea of how I will draw the character. However some minor details (as bush in this case) are very easy to draw from imagination without even trying to look for a reference.
May be I will be able to make a real-time drawing video using cross-hatching.
It's always awesome watching you draw, it would be nice to see some real-time video of that hatching to see how fast you're actually working. How long did this drawing actually take?
@lpbaker68 Unfortunately, YouTube does not allow uploading videos with duration more than 10 minutes. That is why I create time-lapse videos for my drawings. The average cross-hatching drawing process can last around an hour (depending on what I draw and drawing complexity). Actual duration of this panda drawing is about 25 minutes.
AWWWW pandas are the best animal in the world! lol
