  • Great video .. enlightening!!!

  • I'm not addicted, but I admit i spend a lot of time on youtube looking up hair videos on Youtube. I've never had a relaxer so, I'm not new to the natural hair, but I'm new to knowing what is good for my hair. Thank you. I'm going to find that coconut oil.

  • i love your channel! It's very informative. Just FYI. . . most vegetable oil for cooking (no matter the brand) is 100% soybean oil. So the next time you're in your kitchen, take a look at the ingredient list on your vegetable cooking oil. It's much cheaper than buying the smaller specialty oil bottles!!

  • skatemasterspark wants to know do you roller skate...

  • were do you get the cocount oil from iv been natural for about 4 yr now and i uesd 100% shea butter but i would lov to make same shea with anther stuff in it i need your HELP..... lol thank you

  • I want my hair to grow out big!!!!

  • Ms Cathy is the truth

  • I love it. Happy healthy hair growth.

  • You are so positive and awesome. I have been using all the products you named except for the jojoba oil. My hair is scalp is so hydrated, I'm very happy with learning from videos like yours about loving and embracing my African american textured hair. Keep up the good work.

  • I love your hair...im addicted to! I been natural for 15 months...thanks for the info

  • UR BEAUTIUFUL:)

  • Love your energy...Thaw hair is fab as well as the skin.

  • I'd gotten what I consider to be preoccupied with my hair growth as well. As a result, I've tried to implement some procedures, like wearing it up, and a mindset that helps me to be less occupied. Hopefully, I can retain my length, and in the meantime, not be so occupied with it, so that's what I've been working on.

  • i wouldnt dare take the hair pills im scared it will grow hair everywhere that i dont want it!!

  • yes I'm addicted too. I'm having to conscioulsy try not to think about anything hair related so I can break my addiction! BTW, I have a twa now and am aiming for full shoulder legnth by December 2011.

  • @vevuns Is good to be addicted! Call it a hobby it will pay you dividend in the future. Look at Kimmaytube for example:)

Wish you more growth and retaining length

  • i luv ur video, and all of the natural foods that u presented, and yes i am addicted to my hair. i want mine really long like down to my waist. i'm w/u on getting rid of the stinky vitamins.lol i don't want to mess w/those either.

  • I ordered my book this week and I cant wait to get it. I also saw it on Kimmytube and I would love for my hair to grow 8 inches omg that would be great!

  • Enjoyed. I havent purchased vitamins just for growing my hair but I did buy women's multi vitamins. I am hoping to take in more protein, wanting to rid myself of extra fat and to just be healthy. I am not into cuting my hair, it seems like some are trimming too much. My hair is tightly coiled or curly so I have length but cant tell unless I stretch my hair. I am into growing my hair, Lord help me! B.)

  • Okay it's good to know I'm not the only one w/hair obsession. I think more so b/c I went against the status quo with a dramatic change of the b/c I want to know I made the best de vision. And on doing so,

  • hahaahah your amazing lol where can i get one of those shirts?? and ive been natural for 4 months 100% for 2 and im going on my third month my hair grows 1inch a month im glad your hair is growing as well!!! i subbed your channel thankx for the encouragement

  • OMG! I thought I was the only one addicted to my natural hair. I did my last big chop 1-22-11 and it has thickened and grown some. I am addicted to finding products that work on my hair. I have found that Gioovanni products work on my hair and a shea butter mixture I made for a little added moisture at night. So I look forward to your video's.

  • I was going to let you know that the pills you got from walgreens, are bad for you if you are like me and want to have kids in the near future. I myself was using the same brand, I began to notice that my cycle was off the doctors informed me that it fell under the california prop 65.. some of the chemicals are known to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm.. it should say it on the box, but I just wanted you and the other to know this.

  • Gurrl, I feel you. It is so easy to get addicted since alot of us are experiencing our natural hair for the first time. This is also the reason why I have been putting my hair away in protective styling.. its hard not to play in/touch it though. I just want to let it b though...lol I am learning alot about it, but once I take it out of protective styling- feels new again, esp when its in braid extensions. I am veg and love edamame- I hear soy has estrongen in it-moderation is key.x

  • oh yea...drink lots of water..it made my hair grow fast:)...taking lots of vitamins and eating more protein didn't work. trust me, i've been drinking more water and my hair is growing extremely fast:)

  • First of all, hair is alive! Second, cutting does make a difference. Please don't read or believe that ignorance!!!

  • i have to read the book because i thought kimmay tube said your hair is dead not alive

  • I am very addicted to learning what works for my hair also. It is funny that you said that because I thought is was too much for a moment. lol I even decided to go to the Natural Hair Show in Atlanta, GA in April. The more I learn the better.

  • Sorry about the typos

  • Im hoping that my protective style will help my haie grow. i have triwd some of everything but i HATE that my hair doesn't like Shea butter! i need to find a replacement. luv ur vid!!

  • @ArailyusW Your hair doesn't like shea? Well, my hair does not like shea either UNLESS I mix it with something else. Otherwise, it is a greasy mess. :)

  • Hey...I love your video & energy!! Go Sista, Go :-) I have been on my natural hair journey for a little over a year & I am loving my hair...Im not addicted yet, but I hope to get there...a woman's hair is her crown & glory, and when black women start loving our hair we will start loving ourselves more...i would love to connect with you...email me Bourne2shine@gmail.com I am putting together a Natural black hair documentary, and thinking about doing an expo...

  • @Bourne2Shine Awesome! I'll do that. :)

  • Yeah liver's gross :(

  • @theinnercreative You know, I'm going to do a video about the "in between" stage. Hang in there and "this too shall pass." Either way, our natural hair is gorgeous!

  • @revolutiongurl76 BIG SMILES!!!!

  • @1prettysoul I finally have your package ready! I'll email you :) I think we've all spent a lot of money in the beginning. Now I'm all about coconut oil and shea butter. My husband said I could save the Earth with them and Dr. Bronner's! LOL!

  • Inspiring comments. Thanks for sharing. I'm struggling to find the right combination of products for my hair and was feeling quite disgusted. your video gave me a lift. I'm going to keep trying. God Bless

  • @curlzforlfe Do your best to use natural products. I really enjoy coconut oil the best :)

  • @curlzforlfe Keep at it, you'll find the perfect mix for YOUR hair :)

  • After watching so many Youtube videos I realized that most naturals who had long hair when relaxed, myself included, don't seem to care about length.

  • @LuBellaCoils Yep. The longest my hair was when I had a perm was shoulder length on the sides and on my back in the back (my hair grows faster in the back)

  • happy woman :)

  • @diana1nicole Sweet comment :)

  • I am addicted too...but I like mines short, so I am only addicted to maintaining healthy hair.

  • @ayanaweaver I was addicted when my hair was short too! LOL!

  • Does the shea butter mixture need to be refrigerated because it has aloe vera in it?

  • @kashaiya213 I don't refrigerate it. I do add honey and vitamin e and remember those are both preservatives.

  • Looks beautiful!

  • @iamaksd Thanks!!! How have you been? PM me!

  • Yes I L- O -V- E my hair!!! My husband is always saying "you love that hair don't you". :) I didn't care much about my hair when I was relaxed.

    {hugs}

    Anita

  • @neetadc LOL! It's just something about our Natural Hair!!! {bigger hugs}

  • I am addicted to my hair as well. I love the natural hair journey and will never go back...Love it

  • @24hrmomshow Your hair is BEAUTIFUL...

  • Do you need to refrigerate the mixture that has 1/2 aloe vera gel?

  • @miknotti I do not refrigerate it. It does have 2 preservatives as well :)

  • I LOVE MY HAIR AS WELL

  • @latrece36 :)

  • yes im addicted as well..pray for my edges

  • @epd0126 LOL! As you can tell, my favorite styles include pulling my hair back. Just be mindful and use coconut oil and shea butter A LOT. Plus, be free at night.

  • I totally feel you Spark. A "friend" wanted me to "graduate" by pressing my hair. I don't know if I'll ever do it after my natural hair is growing so strong and thick. It is so fun to let my hair get wet in the rain too. I really have fallen in love with my natural hair!

  • @slapme77times Your YT name is too funny. I don't want to press mine at all. I had enough years of the straight look :) I love my natural hair in the rain too!!!

  • Pure awesomeness!

  • @MsMattie82 Yes ma'am!!!

  • Me to, especially to using natural ingredients to make my own hair care products.

  • @msfullroller Hi, my Sister! I know!!! I have natural products everywhere!

  • im addicted as well....

  • @Montreals714 I think we may need a support group...lol!

  • no not addicted but i am mindful

  • @ringaroundtharosey thanks for watching!

  • your pleasant face is just as beautiful as your natral hair and your spirit is just the same

the mosthigh has blessed you sis stay up!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @shazaamson Amen, I receive it and believe it. God has been good to me! Thanks for watching!

  • Addiction is an understatement!! When I had a perm, I was so hands off with my hair care. Since I did the big chop in Oct2010, I have taken more of an interest in my hair diet and overrall health. I love being natural :)

  • @Annieprn67 LOL! I'm so glad I'm not alone! LOL! I need to take a peak at your page to see your hair. You're going to love it as it grows too!

  • I just have a Youtube page for natural hair videos. I will send you may Facebook info so you can see.

  • I love your vids!!...Im so addicted my hair im very concerned with the health of my hair and body...im on a no heat challenge and its done wonders for the feel and health of my hair!!

  • @quiananakia Thanks for watching! I haven't had any heat and I've been natural 14 months. I don't even want it :) I am so happy for you, I feel your ENERGY!

  • Im so happy other ladies are loving their hair! Im addicted too. Im constantly searching the net to find articles, videos and forums about hair. In going natural I have generally been more healthy. My eating habits have totally changed. I think that its great that we are learning to love ourselves again. Natural hair is beautiful :)

    happy I found your video

  • @QueenChezabelle Isn't it great? All of these comments are SO encouraging! I've been eating much better too. I wouldn't have realized that my natural hair would have contributed so much to my overall health and lifestyle.

  • girl i am addicted to my hair too! not sure if it's so much to grow it long, but more like i really can't stop messing in it, i love touching it, applying products in it, washing, DCing, all that stuff, twice a week at least! trimming prevents split ends from travelling down the hair shaft and messing up your whole strand, so i trim when my ends get a bit raggedy, only twice so far in 20 months. Your hair is really growing a lot!! :) x

  • @louloumatou LOL!!! We are all addicted! I simply adore my hair. It feels so good! You may want to read the book. She talks a lot about trimming :) Yet, as long as you know your hair, I believe its fine!

  • You are an amazing, strong woman! Don't ever change, keep those videos coming!

  • @nriccaboni LOL! You too keep those videos coming (well, after your done studying...) I want to see that graduation video!

  • Great video and I am addicted as well. I should be in scripture. I am going now. Got to keep God first and I am also excieted about all of my new Journeys. God B less

  • @alleymo1 God is ALWAYS first. He guides us all! We are more than conquerors through He who loves us! Romans 8:37

  • I kinda feel the same way; I love my hair, and taking care of it (for the most part) is fun! One thing I had to stop doing, was to put the scissors down- I was scissor happy; I was obsessed with getting rid of the fairy knots on the ends of my hair.. I had to just except that curly hair does that, and peace with it.. I think it's great that we like our hair, so many people don't. After all, it's on our heads, we might as love it, and take care of it! I'm gonna try that shea mixture you made too!

  • @Mzrougepoupee Curly hair is the best. I sure do enjoy my ringlets! I, too, must agree that taking care of our hair is FUN! Let me know how the mixture works, I'll be doing a tutorial. That Aloe Vera Gel keeps it soft and smooth.

  • I have that book. It's awesome! I got so much good information from this book. Great job again. : )

  • @nat3803 Thanks for watching! I like it too ;)

  • I'm doing just that Tina. Whole Foods is one of my best friends now. And now since I think about it, I haven't been to a beauty supply store in months....the is beautiful. i can remember like yesterday: stopping by the beauty supply store to pick up a few bags of hair. I'm so glad that I have a new mindset now.

  • @coldestwoman I can't stand going to the beauty supply store especially when those selling to people of color don't even use the products. Yet, I will not pontificate on THAT subject. This shift in mindset is also going to aid in our financial health too!

  • I BC'D 1 year ago and I'm still learning my hair!

  • @kittybaby900 Yay!!! Isn't it great? We have beautiful hair!!

  • and yes i am addicted to my hair growth....my daughters as well. since starting to look at youtube vids in june or july of this year, i'm sold. i'm so glad that i found out that water is so important for our hair cause i had no idea. i'm learning so much and so thrilled that my hair will be 18" longer in 3 years. so excited

  • Have you/do you plan to trim your ends?

lol I didn't even know the dollar tree had vitamins.

I think "addicted" definitely is the right word to describe it =)

  • @NotoriousLYNappy1 Nah, I'm not going to trim. I don't use heat and don't intend to. Dollar General is where I bought those nasty vitamins. LOL! Go to Dollar Tree or Dollar General for the Soybean/Olive Oil. :)

  • i just finished reading "ultra black hair growth" and i enjoyed it. it taught me so much about caring for this crown. however when i went to the website to check out some of the products, they were double what miss jesse's products cost. and i wondered to myself. if hair grows 6" a year from moisture and care, then i will continue to use my own products...other than that....awesome read

  • @coldestwoman Make your own products. I believe that if you continue to moisturize, cleanse and eat great, you will have ultra growth!

  • do you sale that shea butter you showed in the beginning of your video at the flea market?

  • @MsJordyn08 I do sell it at the market. If you're local, just let me know. I'm also starting the Natural Hair Journey in Jax too. :)

  • @MsJordyn08 Great and yes im a local i stay in st.marys about 20 mins from the market i will be coming to get some ASAP lol i purchased some coconut oil from you and almost running out i love how it makes my hair shine

  • I feel like I'm obsessed! Lol I did the BC 2 weeks ago...and I'm in the mirror waaaay too much now.

  • @biancaessify You're probably enjoying your beautiful face!!

  • @biancaessify i did mine 28 days ago and i do the same thing! it's awful, my hair is less than an inch. i take biotin and msm hair has gotten thicker, healthier. congrats on your BC!!! =o)

  • I find that since I BC'd a month ago, after all the styles I've tried my hair simply likes to just BE. I literally wash, shake and go. I keep it moisturized. I know that I'm going to have to protect my hair somehow to maintain hair growth but I just want my hair to be healthy and huge. lol

  • @Tellylove12 ENJOY your BC!!! As you can tell, I like my hair out mostly too :)

  • since I'm in transition, I am addicted to my hair and I'm always looking for products that will be good for my hair. Thanks for your videos

  • @Goingnatural1 Awesome! Find products that work for your hair is stick with them. Do your best not to become a product junkie :) Thanks for watching!
