@yongpack0 that's because Koreans display a stronger sense of emotions and feelings and it shows through Korean music. The root of Korean culture is strongly tied with"정"(jeong). Jeong is hard to describe but it's a bond between people at the a emotional/mind/spiritual/soulf­ul level. It's a feeling of deep connection between people in which they share unconditional compassion. There's a lot more to it but as a Korean I'm sure you know about it.

I bet you've never even heard of Drunken Tiger's songs for example 소외된 모두, 왼발을 한 보 앞으로! which has similar lyrics to this one. Both artists were motivated and inclined to make music. I have so much respect for Tiger JK and Jaurim because they always create something new out of ordinary. They are the true pioneers of modern Korean Music. I'm pretty sure Koreans have so many talented musicians it's just that support is not enough for them to shine among those stupid boy bands and bunch of girls dancing.

And another thing...Korea should implement iTunes store...To me it's not only convenient for consumers, it's a great source to find new music....or something similar....

To me I think music industry is having trouble with raising the revenues for the artist. The center piece of the Korean Music Industry is focusing on visual rather than the quality of the music itself. So all the dance song sounds the same, and all the popular music in Korea sounds the same. I think that makes the consumers "It's not worth paying money for the music"

I want to see less musicians in the variety TV shows and actually sing at the respectable stage with quality music..
