Its probably because the guitar will come with a pickup that's pretty well balanced for rhythms and leads.

IF you'd take an actual look instead of a skim, you'd notice a sweater or something blocks part of the guitar... you dont see the actual edge. Hence you cant say the edges are sharp cause you cant see em >_> ... also if you'd know ESP then you'd know they rarely make LTD's with single pickups unless its a sig. the EX-401 has 2 humbucks. its a RL series no doubt. the cross inlay and color gives it away. :P prove me wrong
