Wait! How is this Possible? You can't go to Horizon without Recruiting Mordin, and you can't recruit characters like Samara, Thane, Tali, and Legion til after Horizon, what gives?

@MASSEFFECTfan101 Bioware has most likely recorded tons of dialogues that was never used or intended to be used in a situation that wasn´t included in the final version of the game. F.ex: In ME1 there was dialogue recorded for femShep that suggested that Ashley originally was intended to be romanceable by both genders.

People, they usually just have the voice actors do the "tidbit" lines for scenarios ingames such as this while they have them in the studio so they can associate "storyline chronology" later. Does not imply an intended open chronology since the dossiers are required to proceed with the storyline.

They wanted to have their bases covered so they can just get all the speech done and THEN selectively have options rather than dragging the person back into the recording studio later.

@khamza111 With any luck, the way recruitment will work in ME3 will not be the way ME2 works, since I'd prefer to be able to just go after who I want first, rather than go after 4, then grab 3 more. It was mainly because of how the 360 required two discs, though there may have been other reasons.

@jakedee010 That's...not exactly it, no. They had the dialogue all recorded from when you could go and grab any crew member you wanted. However, they then made the design decision to split them up, and so, never bothered to remove the coding that tells those lines and scenes to play. It wasn't designed with modders in mind, but it made it so modders could find these things.

@acidrain92 yes it is a mod, but suprisingly bioware put special hidden dialogue in game because they knew what modders where capable of, thats why i love bioware

@h3ct0r182 It is more likely that they recorded all these line BEFORE they knew which order you would get squad members, and left in in there (like u said) for modders to discover.

@h3ct0r182 Actually it's because they didn't exactly have the story boarding set in stone when they where doing the voice recording. Voice acting is always far faster and easier than computer editing and it's far easier to do scene editing when the script is finished so they just recorded dialogue for each character in each scene and then planned the character objective caps later after. They left the dialogue options in there because it takes time to edit them out and it's easier to leave them

There is even voice clips that aren't in the game, that were found where Mordin was to be a Biotic in an earlier build of the game. (The audio clips are of him being the bubble-holder for the 2nd part in the final mission, with the seeker swarms.)

No, data mining shows that some characters were planned to be recruited earlier, or the recruitment missions were to be available all together.

That's how they found these exploits and such. The data is still there for specific conditions (such as having Tali on Garrus's recruitment mission; etc.) but the data to play the game with earlier recruitment missions being available earlier isn't. (But, I could be wrong on some of this info, but various forums talking about it.) :D

@iEatChromite cerbberus advise you to get mordin first cus you get upgrades with him and he makes the anti swarm suits. but bioware have actually made it possible to start the suicide mission without all 10/12 members either for not recruiting them, killing them, never waking them up, or putting them out the airlock
