  • just awesome =) great job dude lml

  • Estas muy crazy amigo

  • hahaha you dropped your stick that means you suck!!!! lol naw jk man GREAT job i could listen to this all day

  • Very nice improv. Keep up the awesome work

  • a.k.a. getting the absolute most out of a single drum.

    Impressive!

  • @MaestroTJS

    Thanks!

  • Shit.. pushed dislike though I aimed for like...

  • Oh man, now you're doing vocal percussion!! YOU'RE THE NORTHERN HEMISPHERE'S AIRTO.

  • Fucking.. insane. Great stuff.

  • I swear, I could listen to you do open rolls all day XD Nice and clean through all of your improv.

I remember a song I played in high school that called for three rototoms, tuned in fourths, and the tuning changed chromatically as the song progressed. No idea what it's called anymore.

Anyways, some cool sounds you're getting out of that drum. Looking forward to watching more!

  • @Novetrix

Thank you for your comments! That's too bad that you can't remember that piece. There was a piece in college that I was part of (unfortunately not the soloist) that uses 4 or so roto toms. Pitch changes galore.

  • si tu stii sa bati ba :))

  • You are great!

  • Any idea what size that roto tom is? I've been looking into getting one and just love the tone it's got. Thanks.

  • @wardackerman

    This was a few years back but I believe it's a 12" drum. It may possibly be a 14" but I think it's 12"

  • Thankfully someone knows how to play a damned single roto tom as an INSTRUMENT

and not the gimmicky "$99.00 - stupid deal of the day !" 3 toms on a stand.

Your "singing" was awful but hey man rhythmaniacs you're cool wit me. lol

    You have fun with it.

  • @stillphil

Thanks? There really wasn't any singing...just emulating the sounds I made! :)

  • fuck you you have no idea how to play

  • @TudoracheDaniel

You know I would normally delete a nasty comment like this but wait...

Bring your Percussion performance degree to me and we'll do a percussion throw down. MUST Be proficient in Snare drum, timpani, ALL keyboard percussion, marching percussion, drum set, ALL accessory percussion, basic piano, theory and general music knowledge. I believe others on youtube would say you're WRONG as well. HAH

  • Only person I've ever seen on youtube playing a roto tom, and simultaneously knowing what they're doing.

  • I like!

  • Really awesome man!

  • Really cool, man! You can play!

  • That's awesome. I love the vocal additions as well :) Made me lol. Very professionally done - Especially for an improv. You've sure got some real talent there.

  • your such a slappy

  • what is the size of the head?

  • awesome playing! do you tune rototoms by spinning them?

  • thanks! yes the roto toms are unique because the tuning (head tension) can be tightened or loosened by turning the head one way or another!

  • well that really sounds neat! im saving money for buying a set of 6 " 8" and 10". i must say thet are very cheap! its about 10 times cheaper than octobans and still give somewhat the same sound.

  • Twist your fingers on the left hand=))

  • 5:10 insane...

  • Comment removed

  • about 5:46 too long

  • Well then why did you watch it then?

  • nice!!

  • Very impressive improv indeed.

  • great playing :D that grooves

  • RIMTAPS FTW!!!!

  • i like your technique, but in my opinion too much rithym changes kills the sequence and gets boring because when i was getin the feeling, you change the rithym lol and that suck lol adios my brother

  • Im about to get some remo roto toms for 150$ a 6 in. 8 in. & 10 in.

  • sounds like you are playing on a whole drumset :b

  • nice improv, get that pinky in check on the left hand tho, lil ugly and trust me itl lead to more control

  • I'm aware...know about control. Thanks!

  • Nice

  • I must have roto toms

  • get the pulse ones from muscicians freind

only 100$ and they sound the same if not better than the remo ones which are 260$

even the stand and stock heads hold up.

it tried them at a friends house and im getting them for christmas.

ill be putting up a video of them of course

  • thats why u get new drum sticks

  • if u hit the iron, that ins't good for your stick?

  • Nah, it's okay...it's all in how you hit it. You can definitely do it without destroying your sticks!

  • absolutely amazing. keep up the good work

  • That's pretty sweet. Except for maybe the George Benson-esque VP you start doing towards the end :P
