  • 0 people here don't know a good music!

  • R.I.P. WILLIE!! one of the best ever!!

  • That's Willie "Big Eyes" Smith on the drums, put it him the description! He died a couple of days ago unfortunatly, may he rest in peace.

  • @hnh4 Done!

  • @schlimschlam1 absolutely smokin guitar

  • @schlimschlam1 definately a great song.mike bloomfield was/is the best

  • @kathyfulmer......Nick Gravinites is Greek, not Jewish. Bloomfield was Jewish.

  • Nick you're amazing!!!

  • So who said Aerosmith and Run DMC was the first crossover performance?

  • At last! Bloomfield live ,he was smokin' hot on the guitar.

  • It seems that live video performance of Mike Bloomfield is as rare as rocking horse sh*t. I can only find this and Drinking Wine. Does anybody know of any more??

  • @s1914 Check out the website for the museum of broadcast communications chicago, they have this entire Show in their archives, I believe it runs ofr a little over an hour.

  • @s1914 check out bob dylan 1965 folk festival....3 songs with dylan/bloomfield

  • Remember Nick

  • great song...and bloomy to boot! ty.

  • Al "Rollo" Radford on bass, from the Siegel-Schwall Band

  • love it

  • BLOOMFIELD!!!!! Thanks for posting!!!

  • How did those Jewish boys from Chicago become such blues greats????

  • @kathyfulmer Because they grew up at a time when the scene was happening in Chicago. Muddy, wolf, Little Walter, Buddy, Hubert Sumlin, Jimmy Reed, Willie Dixon, the list go on and on&on&on. Just like back in the 20's when Benny Goodman's generation grew up in Chicago listening to Louis Armstrong.

  • Nicks Vocals are Legendary, ELECTRIC FLAG SAY NO MORE!

  • wow- outasite-

  • Michael's fingering was lightning fast! You really don't appreciate his speed and dexterity unless you see a video of him playing. Thank you for posting this little piece of blues history for all of us to enjoy.

  • How precious is this? So little video of Michael is available it's sad. Our best hope is that Wolfgang's Vault releases DVDs from the Fillmore and Winterland, but they have been saying they would do that for about 7 years! I am turning my 5 year old daughter onto this kind of music, trying to innoculate her against the Lady Gaga's of the world so she knows REAL music.

  • @soltisimba WHen I have kids I hope to do the same thing, and hope it doesn't backfire. Good to hear there's someone conditioning their kid(s) with Bloomfield

  • Thank you so much for posting this. I have been searching high and low for clips of Mike playing lve, this and the "Wine Wine Wine" vids are the only ones I have found so far. MB was one of the best and most influential guitarists that ever lived. His impact is greatly under-appreciated.

  • And the piano sharing between Pinetop and Dr. John later is interesting too. They manage to fit in Willie Dixon and Koko Taylor into this show too. From what I remember, it was filmed at PBS studios in Chicago. It was part of a series that WTTW did called Soundstage. They used to have the whole archive available for viewing here in Chicago at the Museum of Broadcast Communications. Maybe they still do. There are some great shows in that series

  • For me, one of the best blues concerts ever put on film. This is some of Mike Bloomfield at his very best. When Johnny Winter and Muddy join them later in the show, it's a true blues summit. This a room full of true blues virtuosos. Since no one has yet mentioned Pinetop Perkins (still rocking audiences in his 90's) and Willie "Big Eyes Smith", I will. Pine is among the finest ever to tickle the ivories and Willie is the most flawless drummer I've ever seen.

  • Bloom was one baddass! Another one that never got the recognition he deserved and gone way too soon.

  • thanks for posting!!!!

    love from Athens -Greece

  • No one does it better!

  • This is classic material... daaaaaamn excellent!!! Thank you for posting!!!

  • Is that Sam Lay on drums? Who's on piano?

  • Junior Wells - the true Gangster of the Heart. Gone too long, Mr. Wells. We all miss you.

  • Watched the entire thing waiting for Jr. to open up on the harp. Never did.

  • yeah me too!!! LOL.. love his harp!

  • As much as I like this version, it is disadvantaged by the lo-fi sound.

Personal preference on this song is the performance by Baby Huey and the Babysitters which is posted elsewhere.

  • Jr. Was the whole reason I picked up a harp in the first place. Man he made some great music.

  • @muddyboggswbgu Bloomfield was the reason I picked up the guitar!

  • @MrDefauw me too

  • tanks so much

  • This is super great music. I really like this video !!

Junior Wells and Michael Bloomfield rocks.

  • Junior Wells and Michael Bloomfield RIP. Two greats the likes of which we will never hear again. Keep playin' their music!!

  • its funny how this has so little views, yet crap like britney spears, an artist who dosent write her own songs, has over 60 mil views....haha

  • @JonMartMusic yeah...sad

  • @JonMartMusic seriously man, under 9,000 views? don't know if i can ever reckon that with 'world of warcraft freakout' getting millions of views.

  • The real crime is that Al Kooper and Mike Bloomfield live 1968 was $4.99 (brand new, mind you) at the record store. I believe the new releases run about $15. I'm just as confused as you.

  • wow, this is the same vid as the black n white one, jus in color and better quality! and longer intro, awsome! thx for post

  • great
