Dawn of the Dragon was NOT as good as The Eternal Night. I beat it once, then got bored replaying it and sold it to a friend. Never played this one so it's nice to see it.
well now i don't think that i think all spyro games were good weither on the ps1 &ps2 because when i was a kid i always played spyro games.but spyro did get lame for that game skylanders is ruining the spyro games.
to be honest, spyro games have gotten lame ever since they came out w/ spyro enter the dragonfly, they were so much better on ps1 then any other game system, same goes for crash bandicoot......sort of
@GameGoddess100 "sort of". Far from sort of. Crash never got lame until after Activision took over and used Crash for handheld games. Nitro Kart 2 was atrocious. Spyro only got lame with Skylanders. Legend of Spyro had a lot of positive. A deep story, good combat, and Dawn of the Dragon added co-op and returned exploration which was once a staple of the series.
@vgman94 yeah well the spyro games on ps2 are the lamest cause the way the creators got how you control your characters makes them move kinda slow, & i liked how the characters were before, now the crash games to me were the most fun on ps1 & ps2 so except for the other race spinoffs they had, CTR was the best

I gotta hand it to Krome Studios, they know how to design a good game; but man, they don't know how to make good animations. I mean c'mon, the opening cinamatic, the in-game cutscenes.
Also there graphics suck. This is why you guys got shut down, despite your good design like I mentioned above.

@Deathr03 Well, a true RE fan loves the games and hates the movies (except the ones made by capcom), regardless if there appears or not beloved characters from the games. The reason of this is that it can be taken as an insult to the intelligence of the fans, the beloved survival horror and dramatic story is completely changed, now there's no horror, the protagonist is super powerful and the story is stupid.

@KoolDawg99 They had a change of three different voice actors for him over the three games. In A New Beginning it was David Spade who voiced Sparx, in The Eternal Night, it was Billy West and for Dawn of the Dragon, it was Wayne Brady.
Wow, I have to say this game looks different from most of the other ones I've seen. Almost shows the game like a whole movie, like, literally. Just hack out all of game stuff on screen and you could put it on the big screen. I'm lovin' it. :D
@JPK314 Isomoniac sold the rights of spyro to Krome and they wanted to try and reboot the series.Thats why thos is called The Legend OF Spyro series, the original was Spyro The Dragon Series, and that leg up untill A heros tail, even though Isomniac didnt own that game but that producer kept with the same story. i personally dont hate the Legend of spyro series, i just like the original better because of my childhood memories

I'm sorry to those of you who may have grew up with this new series of Spyro, but I grew up with the original Spyro and to watch this... It just breaks my heart to be honest... This game destroyed one of my favorite childhood memories...
@DrakenHeart26 I grew up with the old Spyro to but this didn't ruin any childhood memories for me. This game did the opposite it reminding me of the old Spyro up to year of the dragon to play them over again. Sure this Spyro has a darker plot than the original PlayStation ones but I enjoyed the new story on a classic game.
@NeroXIII Don't worry I do agree that a good plot line to the game would have made it so much better, but this game made spyro way to serious when it was suppose to be a laid back fun game. And in my opinion this story line is aweful, I mean come on he was raised by dragonflies and he thought he was one of them? The meshes are horrid, and the dragonflies look more like faries. Meh, I may be overdramatizing it, but I don't like seeing some one using another person's idea and ruining it.

@SE So it's fun to watch, but not to play? I'm not trying to be offensive, but have you ever played them? They're also quite enjoyable to play. The new games aren't bad just for being different. Many games have character redesigns and gameplay changes. That never makes them automatically suck, as long as the gameplay's good. I was never into the old Spyro that much, but did enjoy them at one time and still enjoy the old Crash games. What does loving the old games have to do with hating the new?
@vgman94 yeah. i agree it's the same with pokemon. a new generation came out this year. the 5t. so thare are 150 new pokemon and lots of new moves to use and characters and cards. but it hasn't taken long to get used to them. some of them are sick! XD
@0nonokusu I'm not blindly loyal. I do criticize the games that don't innovate, like Colors, Generations and Skylanders, but I don't hate them doing something new and out of the ordinary.
@SeeminglessEndings I recommend it. personally think you should play this and Crash of the Titans half-way through before making a complete judgement. Preferably through the whole game, though. Just reocmmendations. If you want to know where to look for them, I recommend Ebay and Amazon.
@vgman94 Funny thing is I have Crash of the Titans and beat it. I guess thats where my poor judgement came from. And Crash of the Titans was too short. Though I will try Spyro because I havent played any of the new Spyro's yet
@SeeminglessEndings Ooh... Then don't buy Mind Over Mutant. That game is even shorter. It has better gameplay, music and more side quests, but for someone of your tastes, it's worth just a rent. You can finish it with a rental time as well. Even 100% if you look at some walkthroughs. Still recommend Spyro, though. The games have more replay value with each sequel.

I beat this game about a month after I got it. Once you get the Earth Bomb than you can pretty much beat the game. Cynder is definitely one of my favorite characters in the story. She has a lot of mystery involved, and there's just something about her that I love :D
This game is beautiful in many ways but... Spyro as Moses is a bit odd, and much of the plot of all three games in the Legend series depends on Spyro suffering, which can be overdone. It is one for a hero to be put in a bad situation, and another for the hero to suffer. Master Chief, for example, is in many TERRIBLE situations, and there is no evidence that he is actually suffering, probably because he is made of tougher stuff than Spyro.
Wait a second....Spryo was born in Avalar....wasn't he? I mean, if you play Spryo 1, then He lives in a city/country place with other dragons....that got turned to stone by Nasty Nork....did this happen before or after that?

@Renceau Played Sonic 1. Decent game, but really overrated. Too hard, and too siimple. Kinda boring after the 3rd level. Why are guns so bad? They didn't show gore or blood and it added diversity to the gameplay. The Werehog is Sonic, you idiot. Not a spearate character. They add more chars for better story (though it doesn't always work well. *coughChaotixcough*). Sonic is not all about speed. It's a part, but that's not ALL he's about. Just like Spyro is not just a light platformer anymore.
@vgman94 Exactly, I'm saying they changed the whole thing in the good way in Spyro (even though their games are not all that great). The opposite is Sonic and its many mediocre, blend and dull games (who tried to inovate). They fucked it up so much in fact that they're going to release a new "classic" Sonic (à la New Super Mario Bros).
I just point out that in it's current form, Sonic is nothing but a money-cow for Sega, using the huge amount of crazed Sonic fanboïs/girls to their advantage.
@Renceau How could it change in a good way for Spyro, but not Sonic? Sonic's better than Spyro's change because, despite Spyro improving, Sonic does something new and unique in each game. How are the guns bad? Or the Werehog or the sword? They're not. The Werehog adds a great amount of combat, the sword adds basic combat to Sonic's speed and the guns are useful and almost as varied as Ratchet and Clank, just not as cartoony.
@vgman94 Sonic became increasingly retarded from the moment unnecessary characters and components were added in. Why would a hedgehog become a werehog and fight evils with a sword, or more ridiculous: with guns? Why didn't they just make him fight in his own style (all about speed <3) instead of making him transform into stupid, gimmicky creature put in a very poorly thought backstory? Sometimes innovation just doesn't cut it...

@SE So it's fun to watch, but not to play? I'm not trying to be offensive, but have you ever played them? They're also quite enjoyable to play. The new games aren't bad just for being different. Many games have character redesigns and gameplay changes. That never makes them automatically suck, as long as the gameplay's good. I was never into the old Spyro that much, but did enjoy them at one time and still enjoy the old Crash games. What does loving the old games have to do with hating the new?

@vgman94 yeah. i agree it's the same with pokemon. a new generation came out this year. the 5t. so thare are 150 new pokemon and lots of new moves to use and characters and cards. but it hasn't taken long to get used to them. some of them are sick! XD

@0nonokusu I'm not blindly loyal. I do criticize the games that don't innovate, like Colors, Generations and Skylanders, but I don't hate them doing something new and out of the ordinary.

@SeeminglessEndings I recommend it. personally think you should play this and Crash of the Titans half-way through before making a complete judgement. Preferably through the whole game, though. Just reocmmendations. If you want to know where to look for them, I recommend Ebay and Amazon.

@vgman94 Funny thing is I have Crash of the Titans and beat it. I guess thats where my poor judgement came from. And Crash of the Titans was too short. Though I will try Spyro because I havent played any of the new Spyro's yet

@SeeminglessEndings Ooh... Then don't buy Mind Over Mutant. That game is even shorter. It has better gameplay, music and more side quests, but for someone of your tastes, it's worth just a rent. You can finish it with a rental time as well. Even 100% if you look at some walkthroughs. Still recommend Spyro, though. The games have more replay value with each sequel.

@19foreverocker80 ikr! my stupid little brother accidently tryed to clean the disk with alcohol! it fking burned the disk! i loved playing! I could finish it Over and Over again and never get bored..hopely my dad will manage to download it and burn it into a disk...i miss this game and indeed, it was alot of fun ^^

i agree with (u) (@)greenend4y08 n' others. this spyro game is alright. but the legend of spyro is sort of 2 dramatic like. n' it hardly got no funny cutscenes in this legend of spyro triology. n' where's the fairies,gems,dragon eggs,portals n' all of the other stuff at n' also collecting dragon eggs n' stuff like that? n' where r sum of the old characters at from ps1? some of the them are not on this game n' any other games. i'm not here complain. i'm just here 2 speak my opinions n' stuff.

@ksk9984 I agree with you. Yea the game is... Decent but it will never beat the old spyro games. I hate the combat system in this game. I liked the simple charge, fire, and gland. BUT I am happy he can finaly FLY!!!!

I beat this game about a month after I got it. Once you get the Earth Bomb than you can pretty much beat the game. Cynder is definitely one of my favorite characters in the story. She has a lot of mystery involved, and there's just something about her that I love :D

This game is beautiful in many ways but... Spyro as Moses is a bit odd, and much of the plot of all three games in the Legend series depends on Spyro suffering, which can be overdone. It is one for a hero to be put in a bad situation, and another for the hero to suffer. Master Chief, for example, is in many TERRIBLE situations, and there is no evidence that he is actually suffering, probably because he is made of tougher stuff than Spyro.

Wait a second....Spryo was born in Avalar....wasn't he? I mean, if you play Spryo 1, then He lives in a city/country place with other dragons....that got turned to stone by Nasty Nork....did this happen before or after that?

@TheWinterWaterSong This has no connection with the PS1 games. This is a reboot, a new continuity in a more serious world. In this universe, Spyro is born in the swamp which is the first level.

Where is sonic going dude... before the games about him were all about speed, not all this bullshit. I used to like it.

@Renceau Played Sonic 1. Decent game, but really overrated. Too hard, and too siimple. Kinda boring after the 3rd level. Why are guns so bad? They didn't show gore or blood and it added diversity to the gameplay. The Werehog is Sonic, you idiot. Not a spearate character. They add more chars for better story (though it doesn't always work well. *coughChaotixcough*). Sonic is not all about speed. It's a part, but that's not ALL he's about. Just like Spyro is not just a light platformer anymore.

@vgman94 Exactly, I'm saying they changed the whole thing in the good way in Spyro (even though their games are not all that great). The opposite is Sonic and its many mediocre, blend and dull games (who tried to inovate). They fucked it up so much in fact that they're going to release a new "classic" Sonic (à la New Super Mario Bros).
I just point out that in it's current form, Sonic is nothing but a money-cow for Sega, using the huge amount of crazed Sonic fanboïs/girls to their advantage.

@Renceau How could it change in a good way for Spyro, but not Sonic? Sonic's better than Spyro's change because, despite Spyro improving, Sonic does something new and unique in each game. How are the guns bad? Or the Werehog or the sword? They're not. The Werehog adds a great amount of combat, the sword adds basic combat to Sonic's speed and the guns are useful and almost as varied as Ratchet and Clank, just not as cartoony.

@vgman94 Sonic became increasingly retarded from the moment unnecessary characters and components were added in. Why would a hedgehog become a werehog and fight evils with a sword, or more ridiculous: with guns? Why didn't they just make him fight in his own style (all about speed <3) instead of making him transform into stupid, gimmicky creature put in a very poorly thought backstory? Sometimes innovation just doesn't cut it...
