This is -the- most blatent ripoff of Pure Pwnage that I have ever seen. Numerous lines of dialog have been ripped directly from Pure Pwnages videos. Characters and settings that this man mentions are even plagiarised as well. I can't believe you copied them, this is horrible. Come up with something original instead of blatently copying someone else.

Actually... no. I will admit that I enjoy Pure Pwnage. I think it's a great show But there is no coppied dialogue. The characters are different and the intent is completely dissimilar.

This is as much of a rip of of Pure Pwnage as PP is of any number of cultural references including Hackers, GITS, Catcher in the Rye, etc.

You guys have been with us from the start and you've defended me on more than one ocassion -- I thank you for that, but it really isn't necessary. We've had too many flame wars on the comments and this isn't the place for it.

I hate to disagree with like everyone who has commented but this is Pure Pwnage "the not as good version". NOt a very original character. And I imagine any more than just 2 episodes with this guy would get kinda repetative.

Thanks for you comment. I always appreciate criticism.... but a few things I think you should know.

1. We would never try to be like Pure Pwnage. That's just wrong. We love PP and wouldn't insult those guys. We are a review show, not a serial. This is simply a comedy that contrasts who I am in reality (a priest) with the stereotypical VG geek.

2. We currently have 62 episodes with more than 5.5 million views --- "Ryan" would be a recurring character, but not the only one.

I hate it whenever somebody tries to get "holier than thou" by using the "not original" line. Of COURSE its not original. Neither is Pure Pwnage. They are ALL derivative works on the "clueless character" --- you can go back to Shakespeare or Homer to find that!

That being said, this video is GREAT and ORIGINAL because those of us who have watched his show for a year now get to see another side of Fr. Robert.

If anybody in the contest deserves the prize, its him.

Jealous much? I have to disagree with gadgetts: youre not giving criticism, you're trying to do a hack job at the end of the contest. Just look at the vid and youll see that the character is only part of his work. He has good editing, good light and sound. It's what we're used to from fr. gadget and in that sense it has NOT been done before, at least not in this contest.

@Niray51 - I emailed Fr. Robert about that. I wanted to know about the stunt. He replied that Gateway didn't ask for a stunt, the asked for something outrageous.

I think that a well-educated Catholic Priest inventing a "slacker gamer twin brother" character and acting it out to perfection is a pretty outrageous thing!

He also said that part of the "stunt" is that he would use teh gaming box to create a new show that would have his "evil twin" character.
