I flew BA Club the other day back from Warsaw to Heathrow. Only 8 of us in the front cabin. They ran out of meals! I was offered a cheese and onion sandwich from economy class. It looked like NHS food.

This is why I don't usually do BA, and will always pick Virgin on transatlantic flights. It's the attention to detail that matters.

How can you run out of meals when you have a passenger list?

i want to fly first class, we can but normally we dont just go to one place we got to three different countries at a time so the cost is the same if we don't do that and stay in 1 country at an okay hotel we can all fly first. unless we win the lottery :P on friday i am flying ba to singapore and malaysia and i will be taking videos of that :)

i think BA first is better cause theres barely any noise as there are only 14 seats where as virgins there are 40 upper class suites but are not as comfortable as ba's, when virgins suite is changed from the bed to the seat you will definately notice that ba's seat is larger width wise, when they are both turned to beds they are quite similar

Sounds lovely, but what's the price premium difference of the tickets?. Last time I travelled, BA First was about $4000 more than Upper Class. That's a lot for a slightly wider seat. I wear the earplugs so the noise level is tolerable. Do they give you a limo?

Well of course BA First is better since it's FIRST class: Virgin's Upper Class is their business class equivalent, but of course it's a lot better than usual business class service. If you want to make a fair comparison - then compare BA Club World and Virgin Upper Class. (And by the way Virgin Upper Class is in a completely different league from BA Club - it's way better).

Ha ha, I did that for my brother once who was on the same flight with me. He deceided to come back to the US with me last minute and could only afford an economy ticket. I got him in the lounge in Heathrow as you can take a guest in there. The crew were nice enough to let him join me at the bar for some drinks.

4g's In dollars which at the time was 2000 pounds sterling. This was during the summer months too, typically it's about 1000 at christmas and we were all rolling in it back then. Budgets have tightened now but, tickets have cheapened. I noticed that BA's upgrades are only 250 each way on that route so I may try them again this summer. Club World was ok last time I flew with them.

can't wait to see your next video - you should get some shots of the drive thru checkin area (if you use that) depends on the ticket type-very cool, doesn't even feel like you're in an airport - totally bypass the normal security area through Virgin's own security area..simply the best! you should get some shots of Virgin's lounge in Heathrow too - knock everyone's socks off!

Last time I went through I got lots of footage in the lounge, Jacuzzi and all. I don't like filming in the check-in area for obvious reasons but I did go through the private check-in.

I'll be posing another vid soon where you can see the lighting during the sleep phase of a day flight to Chicago. It's your own compartment that has a small seat/footrest so you can eat with a friend. It also converts into a fully flat bed with a matress. It's so nice to have on a transatlantic flight.

The lounge catering is fantastic at Heathrow and JFK. Onboard is very good. Maybe not as good as two years aso. It's still airline food but it's always nice having something British due to the long stints here in America. I couldn't compare it fairly to Club World on BA, as I haven't flown with them for 7 years. They're usually more expensive and I like Virgin more.
