i was 5 but i grew up on this music oasis, beatles, specials, crowded house was such a great childhood now what do we have all this political correctness war fucking bull shit i miss the 90's
" a big boo for man united" haha they always talk about how much they hate man united.
i wish i was there too, but i had just turned 4 and i was in canada. this was probably one of the best gigs of the 20th century. it was the biggest show, though.
you know, i agree with you, i was 5 years old when they were doin' this, it's sad when i think about that i missed this and all them great moments because of time and place where i was rised
I'm in the same position and I like your optimism but nothing like Knebworth or Oasis will happen for our generation. Downloads and the internet have made music free so no-one really cares anymore, bands no longer carry momentum. Oasis Blur and Verve should be glad they were around then and were able to have as much success as they did, as it probably won't happen again.
As it is our bands and musicians should just hope to have some great gigs now and then.
thats not it at all mhoverthere, its because nobodys as good as them, there's still huge gigs, thats just silly to say they dont happen, there hasent been a torch holder since them, when a band as good as them comes along again, the big gigs will return, keep the faith.
Well I hope you're right and another Oasis will come along one day...but look at music now, it's becoming a nostalgia factory, still dominated by old bands like Oasis and Blur. Even the new ones mostly just try to copy them (like Kasabian).
Still, it might change in the future. Wait and see.
I don't think the circumstances exist for another Oasis. The world isn't the same, record sales don't work the same way, tours aren't the same... Oasis is the last great huge rock and roll band, and the best one of all time @ that.
It's true Kasabian idolize oasis and are good mates with them, but saying that they copy them musically is a load of bollocks. I've got all their albums and they are completely different lyrically and musically

Lol Liam is such a cunt sometimes, ( wel pretty much all of the time ) Just funny that hes the child of the band while Noel is a little his dad.
Btw he could sing it way better than that, such a shame. Noel at least tries to perfection his songs, while singing live. But it isnt so bad at all cuz, it gives the band his own character his own colours
se cansoo jaja

perticularly oasis, because although i absolutly love them
i doubt with all the over the top pollitical correctness and crap that theyd be as popular

I refer to them as the last great band of the pre I-tunes era.
This Gig was thier crowning glory.
Oasis were the band of My generation. An Album like ..... Morning Glory will not happen now in the I-tunes era.
