I think now, Santa is more of a symbol than an actual person. A symbol that Christmas is a time to be giving and generous. Of course we should always be that way, but I think it's like the New Year's resolution thing. Santa *reminds* us to be generous with other people for the next year to come.

Actually in a way I suppose you were right. I remember when I was 6 every authority figure had convinced me there was a Santa. I had no reason to question if all authority's was telling me. Humans that were able to get together survived better, or at least were able to colonize better and take over existing groups. Right and wrong are constructs for our sentient mind for behaviours that would be for the benefit of the group and make us more sociable (right), and behaviours that would hurt the group (wrong).

I'm scandinavian,and uphere we're never exposed to christianity when we grow up, cause nobody's interested in that ancient superstition anymore. Recent surveys have shown that Denmark has 70 percent non-believers now, Norway closer to 80, and Sweden has 85 percent non-believers. This is based on people's answers in surveys, but thanks to the weird state-church system we have here, you sometimes here for instance americans claim that scandinavians are "70percent lutheran", hehe.

There wasn't any science or proof in this video! There was no evidence given, just an example. No testing was done, no link causal link observed et. I'm pretty sure Shock either has no idea what science/evidence are or he's being sarcastic about how people use Santa/ unicorns as a simile for God. In case of the latter: it is used a lot because it's easy to understand, we all thought it was true at one point but then we learned how the world works and we believe no more.
