this doesn't look even as fast as my stock e-maxx 16.8v. any idea how fast it goes? i was planning on buying the kd 700ho but not if that's how fast they go. message me please...
if you trying to vid e revo doing backflip. i think the new savage flux can do better backflip. go to hpi racing and see savage flux vid. its way faster and it can do a perject standing backflip
I am using the stock motor mount. I really don't see the need for me to switch to the single motor plate except for weight, but I bash and don't race.
The only reason I was going into reverse and then forward was to show anyone who is interested in using a single Revolver 700-HO how well this works and the amount of torque it has for a brushed motor. Doing that puts a lot of stress on the drivetrain and was only doing it for the several times I did it.
Why upgrade the motor, what is wrong with the stock Mamba?

@clankm its the brushed version

I used a dremel tool with a sanding wheel. Also, I recommend using a 14.4V DeWalt motor from Robot Marketplace

What runtimes?

Cool video, this helped me figure out how much power the dual motors would have! I figured A LOT, I gave this video thumbs up ( stupid new system )
Traxxasman11 1 year ago
uhm really not all that much power considering that the only way you make a wheelie is by forcing a rev to fwd action.
had you punched it and the thing flipped over on it's own, i would be impressed by that single motors power.
nice though...

Why not just put a mamba in it and do standing backfips all day with 4s lipo?
davinforsberg75 1 year ago
@davinforsberg75
because then it wouldn't be waterproof.

remember dude its hard to take a vid and drive at the same time so he probly dident reach top speed
mrcornchip 2 years ago 3
KD 700ho doesn't give you more top end speed, It's about the same top speed as the stock motor from traxxas but it will give you more torque.
plorwax 2 years ago
well wouldn't the more torque allow you to use a larger pinion gear for more top speed?
elitecamaroz28 2 years ago
mine give me a fare bit more top end and the power is crazy.
facebiter 2 years ago
try backing up and hitting forward like that with a 7XL and you'll be buying a new tranny and drive shaft set

wouldn't you get better speeds and torque with 2 700HO motors?
scarletboa 3 years ago
no, more weight. yet more torque, but more expensive, so idk
fathead431 3 years ago
its only 80 bucks for two motors pinion gear and mount plate from kershaw
elitecamaroz28 2 years ago
2 motors doesnt go on as easy as one motor. you need to make some motor mount adjustments if you want 2 700's
PTHcrf 3 years ago
they come with a custom mount
PowerSports420 3 years ago
you go forward not upsidedown
zaco96 3 years ago
why only a single motor? And quit with the back flips on pavement... poor truck.
stphndxtr 3 years ago
I guess you like to do back flips

I suppose there's a good reason you keep trying that reverse-forward thing, but I just don't see it

I would love to see more of what this motor swap can do. Get someone else to film while u drive.

They're SPC 7 Cell NiMH's and a single Revolver 700-HO from Kershaw Designs
