  • I came here after watching youtube video: Diana Vishneva, Vladimir Malakhov - Kazimir Colors, Wonderful ballet dancing, and now I see the inspiration for the choreographer.

  • kol sonzlgn!!!

  • The Dutch are such "Formalists" I think they missed that BLACK SQUARE was interpreted as ANARCHIST STATEMENT!

Color was highly political due to Revolution & Civil War. Also, realist work-groups began organizing in mid-twenties - leaning to "socialism in one country ("Stalinism"), while International ("Trotskyism") was AVANT-GARDE CHOICE of organizing. This also related to Leningrad as different from Moscow & BLACK SQUARE you show in Leningrad Theatre first! Konstrat Sailors/Belo(White)Russia.

  • if only it was in english -____-"

  • You know the saying "A picture is worth a thousand words". (-_-)

Besides, the Russian language is of poetic beauty.

  • well helloooo, it's a freaking documentary, i would like to know what the content elaborates on... duuhhh... -_-"

It should also be catered to those who aren't proficient in russian.

    shhesh.

  • Well, this Russian film was translated into Dutch only. For English, Chinese, Spanish etc. there's only the picture -- which in the end is what's about.

  • you make it sound so fly and everything..lols..

in every picture lies a story, background history and experience. From understanding the history would give you a better comprehension of why the artist produce such works.

    a 'picture' ain't enough.

  • @jjvanka If I were able to translate it, I'd make subs but I'm neither capable of dutch 'nor russian :(((

  • Thank you for incredible video. I couldn't find part 3.

    Great artist.

  • His parents were ethnic Poles; he was born in Russia (now Ukraine).

  • There are two version. First they were polish and the second Belarusian.
