Her voice is pretty but it's way to fast, no emotion, I love how Christy Moore sings this with so much emotion. I love hearing a man doing this song. I'm a professional singer, this is my opinion. ps the recording is ok its here voice and the band going way tooo fast.....
i knew it would be better with a chick singing it just seems odd for a guy no offfence to the males that sing the song they are very good to just seems it was ment to be sung by a woman :D
great version lads - love the instruments - hate to say it but the intensity on the chorus kinda kills the sentiment of the song -maybey its the tremlo on the vocal - shakey- but thats just my own feeling - however i love to see people being inventive - GREAT CELTIC SOUND - some really gifted people there
Great song and powerful performance. Still, I like the Christy Moore version better: For me, a male bass voice is so much more fitting for the lyrics and the mood of this song. Still, this version excels with the celtic instrument setup.
no disrespect to Mr Moore, but I beg to differ on that , I have looked at many singing his song, and honestly think this is the most powerful version ,

Too fast. It's a painful ballad, not a chirpy pop song. Good voice, though.
