I think the concept of three songs at once would be too difficult for today's "singers". Imagine Amy Winehouse, Miley Cyrus, and 50 Cent trying to sing a fugue.

She was soooo big in Europe in the 60s and I just loved her. In the US she somehow never really caught on.

I love this clip!!!!! I've remembered this since I was 13 years old and watched the show every week (obviously without understanding most of the show's adult innuendo but loving it anyway). It doesn't seem like 40-plus years ago that this aired. I bought the album and nearly wore out this track, but it was done without Esther; then, a few years ago, I found that same track. But it's wonderful to hear this version again -- takes me way back!

@pampampolacke  Honestly, ANY two singers can be compared, but I think I know what you mean--that Ofarim is much better. To me, they are both so so so good. To me, it is a good comparison, I have adored both for so long, and I do think each is on a par, with each other. But I don't think there are many singers in the whole world as good as either of em. I was 3 years old when this aired. I watched the Smother's Brothers every week with my older siblings. It is very likely that I may have seen it then. I remember when they went off the air and everyone was upset over the war, etc.
