  • ARGHHH! Didn't work for me.

  • how did you get your white nail polish (insta dry) to come out so thin? i have the same nail polish, but mine somes out alot thicker. should i put a drop of water or two into my bottle of nail polish to make it thin or what? how is your nail polish so thin? inbox me [:

  • @LuvKillsSlow Some brands don't spread out as well as they should, but it could also be the type of water your using, and the temperature of it, to. Filtered water works best for me, and I let it set for about 30-40 minutes before I start. In that time, I usually prep my nails so that I don't have to do it then. Also if the polish moves around, you can take some edges on the polish when it's in the cup and hook it to the sides of the cup with the toothpick. :-)

  • HELP ME !!! Is it a certain polish i need ? Cause mine dont expand :( & Everytime i try to draw a pattern the polish moved with the toothpick -__-

  • @LuvKillsSlow dont worry it dose not matter

  • @LuvKillsSlow

Sounds like the nail polish dried too fast.

  • @LuvKillsSlow

sometimes the nail polish spreads better if it is new

and the nail polish is coming with your tooth pick because you may be taking too long with dropping the polish in the water..try to move a little faster!

  • my nail varnish doesn't expand in the water D:

  • my 2nd color doesnt expand

  • My OPI white polish is like the hardest white polish to put on your nails ever. This will be a challenge!

  • I tried this this morning and got very messy! My nail varnishes didn't work in the same way yours did in the video.. do I need to get a specific type? Also when taking my finger out of the water the nail varnish just lost all the pattern =/ I gave up but going to try again another day!

  • don't use foam cups. the nailpolish eats right though. as i found out the hard way. very messy.

  • @SummerAndSpring4eva7 Me to >.< Then the water went everywhere ... Pissed .

  • @LuvKillsSlow yeah. VERY annoying.

  • 4:50 i die!! Hahahaha Very Funy!

  • THANKYOU SO MUCH my frend is going to be so jelli >:D

  • I tried this and it didn't work very well :( but Im going to keep trying and practising :) thanks for the tutorial.

  • Holy Cow look how many videos you have your so creative!!! AAH I LOVE IT

  • You don't have to use white, I only use a base coat and if you have good nail polish in bold colors, the colors still come out beautifully.

  • Best tutorial I've seen so far! (:

  • this is pretty

  • Are you able to do it without the white nail poilish

  • Me and my friend are going to try this! :)

  • do you have to use white nail polish? is there anything else you can use?

  • never mind uve already done tht

  • another thing u can do is rub your nails in rubin achohol then put a news paper on ur nails and the imprint of the words will come off on to ur nails:)

  • So trying thiss <3

  • i tried your water marble trick, and it did not work for me :/ and i did everything you said

  • @sehra24 mine did this try some rimmel london look nail polish because rebecca bon bon or charlie dosen't work :)

  • what if the nail polish doesnt expand when dripping it into the water?

  • good job will be having more attempts later :) watched ur 20 questions vid too it was very helpful :)

  • cotton swabs and qtips are the same thing

one is brand name the other isnt

  • 2:15 - 2:27

    THATS WHAT SHE SAID.

  • can it be done on acrylic nails.??

  • its ddoesnt workkk !!

  • I hate painting my nails, because I feel like solid colors are too "in your face", and it annoys me. BUT I LOVE THIS! Thanks for the information!

  • My nails are really short...if I bought fake nails and just followed all these steps but using the fake ones...would that work?

  • @cassidyj31 Yeah! My friend and I did it and she was wearing arcrylic nails from the salon but without polish on them

  • Just tried it for the first time and learned a lot. 1) water MUST be room temp. 2) white polish MUST be dry. 3)Be patient. 4) Thick polish does not spread. 5) It takes time to find the right combo of colors.

I too am having trouble with patterns but I think it's because my water was slightly warm which make polish dry faster and my white coat was not completely dry. Will be trying again tomorrow to see what happens!!!

  • You make it look so easy! I've tried three times. My nail polish never seems to want to drip. Then I might get one ring to spread, but the rest wont. Or the one time I managed to get a few rings, when I tried to draw a pattern the whol layer of polish came away! So I gave up on the idea of funky water marbled nails!

  • Awsumenes

  • it doesn't expand for me when i do the second one

  • Comment removed

  • I'm gonna try this :) tip: use bottled water!!

  • this didnt work for me! when i put the nail polish in the water it either sinks to the bottom in a ball,or just screws up? WHATS HAPPENING:(

  • @BethansLifee you must be using nail polish thats too thick and heavy. try using more watery, cheap stuff. :)

  • ok im so doing this

  • I've tried this so many times but it doesn't work for me! I'm sure it works with people that know what their doing, but I have a question. Part of the reason I can't get it to work is that by the time I'm done putting all the nail polish in the water, the first couple colors that I put in are already dry on the top on the water, and it won't drag to design and ends up messing everything up. What can I do about this???

  • @shadyfabulos Try using bottled water. i tried it with tap water but it keep screwing up and looked terrible. I read somewhere to use bottled water so i did and it worked and looks awesome. try that and see if that works for you

  • @GiJane1231 thanks!!! ill def try that!

  • looks brill, will give his a go thanks :)

  • you're awesome

  • @toribloomfield if it doesnt work, then apparently im a magician and i film then show the world the secrets to my fabulous magic trick.... which, who would have thought, are how to water marble your nails.... in other words. Yes. it does work!

  • @toribloomfield actually i think you just wanted people to write back to you seem like an attention whore ;] or maybee you just did it wrong who knows?

  • @toribloomfield Worked like a charm for me, but the water had to be really cold to work properly.

  • is it just water?

  • put some alum or shaving gel in the water i mean SOME dont go over board

  • i tried like 3 times and it didnt work :(

  • this is so cool! my sister and I are going to try it! wish us luck!

  • I tried it and it didn't work but of course I am going to try again! :)

  • this is amazingg!! gonna try it on my nails for my winter formal!!

  • this didnt work for me and my friend at all... we followed all of your steps and they turned out like crap.. what did we do wrong? idk but we followed all ur steps.

  • Do you absolutely need to paint your nails white first?? To be honest I don't have white nail polish..

  • @jperchinaytka you don't have too, but it's recommended, cause i do this all the time, and it shows up better with white nail polish under. it worked for me when i didn't have white nail polish, but like i said, it's better if you do. you can always go pick some up at a drugstore or anywhere that would sell nail polish

  • why couldn't you put some kind of oil on your fingertips instead of tape?

  • its works:) this is awesome

  • You are a goddess! Thank you so much!

  • what if we have no white nail polish? :L

  • se ven increibles!!, gracias por compartir =)

  • PLEASE RESPOND! Do you have to paint it white first. So, let's say you're doing it pibk tye-dye.. could you have your base pink?

Please like so she can see this!

  • @LoveMovesTheWorld yes you can

  • @SolkowskiRae Thanks!

  • argh! :D im trying this today on my litter sisters. i had actually never heard of this before :)

  • Wow! that looks amazing! i´m gonna try =)

  • wow i will try thismtomorrow

  • Thanks for the amazing trick I'm stoked to try this :)

  • I used a sally hanson and it made a hole through my paper cup -.-

  • I cant wait to try this Thank you :D

  • i love this :)

i usually do fun experiments on my nails like making bunnies, dogs, cats, and bears, but this is way more better

  • how much water do you put in the cup??

  • @theeasydiy I failed entirely. I used pink and red. The pink was China Glaze and the red was from Claire's. So, I guess the mistake right there was the red was kinda thick and crappy, so it didn't expand. So while I was trying to get it to drip into the water the pink began to dry on the water. I finally got it and went to mae the design, and it just failed miserably. What are some good brands to do this with?

  • haha i failed miserably at this. come do it for me. XD

  • Do you have to use white nail polish? Can you just use clear? Thanks!!

  • @723riley You can use whatever base color you want, I usually try to coordinate with whatever colors I'm using in the water. But white is a blank canvas so things so up on it well.

  • Ok this is legit! I did it and it totally worked..! Thankx it's awesome!(:

  • i tried it and the nail polish wouldnt spread like it just stayed there like a derp.

  • my nail polish isn't spreading, i used a few different types but they arent working :(

  • This was helpful me and my sister will try it once we get a whole bunch of nail polishes to see which 1 would look best thanx :)

  • um could you use vasailine on your fingers if you couldnt find tape in our house?

  • Oooh, I can't wait to try it... I gotta go get some white polish :) Thank you!

  • Very helpful x

  • this is neat:O omg.

  • actually u cant use a foam cup cuz the nail polish would eat through it nd will make a hole in the cup nd cause a huge mess...so a plastic cup is better =]

  • because your suppose to use filter water

  • the tape feels funneh.

  • awesome. im so doing this,,,great "how to"video thanks!!!

  • which nail polish u r uusing because when i put drops of nail polish in the water the color didnt gets dark then when i put my finger in the water the nail didnt get any polish why? and i use tap water and its little bit cold now please tell me what to do

  • tryed it loved it!

  • I have never herd of this before Lol, I'm going to Try It Now , haha!

  • I think this is amazing! Thanks so much for posting! Don't really know how I got here but loved the vid and I vcan't wait to try this (also need the white nail polish.

  • i'm addicted to doing my nails. this is such an awesome idea! you go girl.

  • When I tried to mix the colors it just wrapped around my toothpick. I must ask how you do it!!!!

  • i did this and yeah i failed lol

  • I don't have white nail polish.. Is it needed.. Or optional?

  • @LivvLifeFull I did it without white nail polish and it turned out the same, but I used pretty bright colors too.

  • this looks pretty cool . im gonna try it

  • i did this no u dont have to pain ur nails white for whos asking

  • Lol I love you but it didn't workkkk

  • im doing black and white.do i have to paint white before or not?

  • this was hard work , it didnt work with no nail polishes besides 2 unless i was doing something wrong but i doubt that i watched very closely on ya 7 min video.

  • i looooove this!!!

  • mine doesn't expand in the water it just sits there in the same place..... do i need really really runny nail polish? give me an answer asap

  • @keelyannechadwick you need a new polish but runny helps to

  • @keelyannechadwick Your water might be too cold. Make sure it's room temperature. Also, some polishes just don't spread well. Sally Hansen X-treme Wear (they are about $3 a bottle at any drugstore, walmart or target) works really well with water marbling and they have bright colors!

  • @keelyannechadwick no u dont need really runny polish just use " L.A. Colors nail lacquer with hardener " it works perfectly for me and u can get it at the dollar store

  • @keelyannechadwick Mine doesn't either!!

  • @keelyannechadwick 1.) use filtered room temperature water. 2.) yes use runny nail polish to make it expand, you can add acetone to your nail polish to thin it out. 3.) work fast the nail polish dries quick.

  • @keelyannechadwick yeah you do!

  • @keelyannechadwick try warming the water slightly

it needs to be room temp

  • @keelyannechadwick you need to make sure you use tap water from a sink or something

  • WHAT THE HELL IS IN THE GLASS. just water?? .

  • @ilovesoccerlxs11 room temp water

  • itz amazing....i think itz easy than painting ur nailz....itz superbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb.............

  • does the nail polish have to touch the water so it could spread

  • Comment removed

  • "then you just need your fingers"

me: CRAP WERE ARE MY FINGERS?

    lol

  • 5 hrs. wasted!

  • i have 3 middle fingers too

  • Love it!

  • I cant seem to get the 3rd color to expand, the first 2 do but the 3rd just sits like a blob in the middle. How do I get it to go

  • awesome

  • So fresh! I'm gonna make my boyfriend let me do this to him when he comes over today! :D Thaaaank you!

  • soo awesome

  • do u have to use white?

  • @10819malak If you didn't use white as your base, the colors you choose for the actual marbleing will look really weak. The white just brings the other colors out more. :]

  • thumbs up if u love the beatbox add

  • this is cute but i try it and it just doesnt come out

  • that is so cool

  • This is so cool!

  • i love it <333 it was amazing.can you make more videos with water marbling?

  • this is a complete fail for meh

  • this is amazing! ive never heard of this! im gonna be the first one to do it :)

  • that is frakin adorable

  • I tried it and on some nails it worked really good and on others it looked kinda sloppy. I like it though!!

  • that was awesome

  • where were you when i was 15???
