  • I am remodeling the inside of my Dodge camper van. I was viewing some videos to get some ideas and come across yours. Great job and amazing how you made use of the room available to you in this VW. My guess is you do this professionally. I am a cabinet maker by trade with 30 years in the construction business and can see you are a talented tradesmen. Truly amazing work Mate, your final vision of your project is outstanding, NOW I hope I could do as well as you did, its going to be tough.

  • @SendinK9 Why thanks, but nope, I'm no pro...Just enjoyed the project.

  • SThompster Well Mate, if your not a professional imagine how good the pros are. Certainly you are a craftsmen. The aluminium frame came out perfect and all the other great ideas such as the recessed sink etc. I just got finished today ripping out the old carpet and reinstalled the new. Now I am ready to do a floor layout and head to the cabinet shop and start building the cabinets. Going to try to fit a shower in mine but if not I most certainly will have a sink and stove. Like you I enjoy it.

  • very well done.

  • Amazing job. really

    Greetings from Belgium

  • @rikkiesix Thanks!

  • that looks awesome mate! when's the 3rd installment going to be posted??

i'd loved to have the time, skill and money to do something like this with a T4 but not use the kits you can buy!

  • From where did you get the gas cooking range? Nice looking unit.

  • Its a Smev flush combination unit. Search der web and you'll find them...Lots of choices and sizes. :-)

  • Pretty smooth. But You would have to be some kind of midget to fit on the bed. Anyone over 6 foot has no chance!

  • You've just described us in a single sentance! Good job we have no plans to sell it and as we are midgets its funny how it is absolutely perfect for us... :-)

  • awesome...

I really envy your workmanship-- my parents say they'll never let me get a VW bus because of safety features-- I'm gona keep askin though... I want to fix up a really old one...

  • same here! haha

  • awsome! great color you have on the bus! i loking for a deluxe bus for myself :)

  • i just wanna say as a vw lover myself and just a woodworker wow stunning beautiful work!! keep up the work wanna finish my V-Dub for me? just kidding. Great work!

  • Great video. What kind of wood are you using for the backes of the seats and what thickness is it? What kind of foam is that?

  • I used MDF for the backs 6mm Thick to keep lighter... Foam is 4inch on base and 3inch on backs

  • 4 months??!! I would have done that in an afternoon. . .& it would look better too!

  • For sure... You must be worth your weight in gold!

  • FANTASTIC!!!

  • I just bought a 67 split, and I am about to start building my custom interior. Thanks for the inspiration!
