  • YOU FUCKING LITTLE ARSE HOLE, ''ID BE DOWN THE HOLE MINING WITH BLACK SOOT'' WHERE DO YOU COME FROM??? YOUR ACCENT SAYS ENOUGH!!

  • You are a posh boy and are not Cornish!!

  • They will continue to do what they've always done. Eat shit and take it up the arse.

  • what are you saying??? your accents so thick i feel like americans speak a different language.

  • you are a great guy!!!

  • We are circulating a petition calling on the government to recognise the Cornish as a National minority. It has been created by a Cornish person who is not a member of any political party or organisation but who is very concerned at what is happening in Cornwall. Please sign it and pass it on to your friends. We want to protect what there is left before all is lost !:

    h t tp ://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/2835

  • @jakdiddly yep go cornwall!!!!!!!!!

  • you obvously dont come from cornwall......

  • i had a celtic name it was kai

  • no way, i used to live in redruth and penzance and marazion, prefer marazion and pz though

  • Go fuck themselves, that's what

  • @themightyrara and which shit hole are you from?

  • Cornwall is next to england, ye english fuck off!

  • U was wondering when someone would start asking the tough questions...

  • If we're so bad what are you doing here then? Could always piss off back to where you came from.

    Bloody Emmets

  • Comment removed

  • this guy rips

  • What is it that makes the British so unable to listen to historical fact.

The fact that your so against Cornish independence would suggest that you know you need us, alot more than we need you.

  • @Rt1941 i couldn't have said it better myself!

  • fuck you

  • Look this is the deal,

Cornish people are not pasty eating miners anymore we are just like the rest of england accept we have not yet been invaded by busy city life.

  • England?

  • Only the South East, and the west midlands, and upper mid-west coast area are full of busy cities. Where I grew up in the North East there wasn't a city for about 50 miles. And in the North West it's the same, all countryside. And what a countryside too! North Yorkshire Moors, and the lake district! I now live in West Yorkshire, which is full of cities, but even so, there's nice peaceful spots all over Britain!

    Dan

  • He may have some Cornish ancestry but he doesn't have A Cornish accent!

    Probably another Emmett!

  • cornishlads are fishermen and cornishlads are miners too but when the fish and tin are gone what are the cornish boys too do? that got written 1999 when south crofty closed ...... i was eleven and their were 5 men who painted that outside crofty my bro was one of em.

  • I am an American, so I know very little about Cornwall or the Cornish (Kernow) language. I watched another video with some older chaps, who were Cornwall, but were speaking English. Their accents sounded like Irish or Welsh to me. The Cornish that I've heard on here also sounds Gaelic. This guy definitely sounds English, but not from London. Is this dude Cornish and is his accent typical? There aren't a lot of videos where I can here speakers from Cornwall.

  • It's due to watching English TV with the standard British accent. Many Cornish, who are genuine Cornishmen have a "typical" British accent.

We basically, aren't English, we're Cornish - no matter what people say.

  • .... oh yeah, and I'm Northumbrian, some of my friends are from Mercia and I'm currently living in Danelaw, maybe we should all split and then get back together again when we realise how stupid we've been!

  • Splann Yw,excellent vid, Love all the advice from the English on how we can improve life with Jamie Oliver and Eden soooo thats were I've gone wrong nothing to do with having to stump up a huge rent bill to one Charlie Windsor.

  • Forgot to add to my previous comment then you've got retired English people and wealthy home owners from out of Cornwall again who don't want Cornwall to change, progress or develop

  • The problem in Cornwall is that some of the locals are resistant to change.

Most of Cornwall has stagnated or gone backwards compared to the 1990s.

Any new developments in Cornwall are met with stiff opposition even if it creates jobs for locals.

The Eden Project. Fifteen charity restuarant and even the new cinema and redevelopment of St Austell town centre all met with opposition.

There's people who just don't want change and go along with their Liberal Democrats and benefits

  • Let us hope that the Cornish Home Rule Bill recently introduced in Parliament has success.

  • LMAO, dream on.

Cornwall is a county of England, this will always be the case.

  • Uh oh. The pressure and evidence towards our impending recognition is mounting and the "Cornwall is England" brigade are quickly running out of things to say.

I have never seen a valid argument from the brigade as to why Cornwall is part of England or why it couldn't survive under a devolved structure. Statements are all you seem to use and simply saying "Cornwall is in England" just doesn't make it fact!

  • Lmfao, keep dreaming mate. This pathetic labour government has not recognized Cornwall as anything other than a county of England. You can be sure the next conservative government which will take over in 10 months time certainly wont.

Cornwall is a county of England. This is undisputed fact, and those who think otherwise are just a tiny minority who will be ignored. Look at every single map.. Cornwall IS in England.

  • You've just proven my point.

The very fact that it's a proven majority of Cornwall (rather than your imagined minority) after a devolved assembly shows you have based all this on opinions and maps.

    Need I say more :)

  • Ummm London has its own assembly, do the people of London think they are not part of England? There is a huge difference to wanting more local democracy / devolution than thinking Cornwall is not part of England.

The 2001 census showed the majority consider themselves British / English. Out of 500,000 people in Cornwall only 37,000 listed themselves as Cornish lol. Even that doesnt mean alot when you consider Jedi is the 4th largest religion in England by the 2001 census.

  • @TheBritishWatcher fuck off you troll.....british watcher...we are but fucking star dust you ignorant imperialist...live and let live

  • Cornwall is officially a Duchy and thats the title recommended by the Kilbrandon Report back in 1973 to be used instead of county - the imposition of county status imposed on Cornwall in 1889 was not lawful.

  • Cornwall is a county of England. Get use to it mate. This cornish nationalism is going nowhere.

  • People don't seem to realise that a few of us are working hard beneath your feet in camborne to bring tin mining back to the county and restore some of our cornish pride

  • I had a Cornish grandfather and was raised in Cornwall I'm not what you would call proper Cornish. Proper ding ding.

I live in Mid Cornwall and yea there is a problem finding jobs here. The only way is for me to go outta the county.

My advice for the Cornish boy here, you seem to have picked up some female admirers, have you considered a career as a model or the new Alex Parks?

  • Cornwall Forever!

  • Interesting film but it is nonsense to think tin mining gave people a good living it may have done for some miners and that being only for few brief years, But in looking at this graffiti you have been eaten away by nostalgia, as it was never that good!

  • Well made and emotive BUT as one who was born in the County, the situation here is no different than in a whole load of other places - lost coal mines, steel works in other Counties. Please don't let Cornish nationalism come into it. It really is a fringe thing and fast disappearing in the face of the economic crisis.

  • Wrong again.

  • What a beautiful person.

  • The Cornish invented the pasty when all the rest of the world could think of was the dinner plate.

  • @newagemisfit well the west welsh aka devonians and cornish did....only problem was the devon celts were beaten , cornish celts hang on

  • I think a big problem is holiday homes as they are ofton empty most of the year so the people who own them put very little back into the local economy.

They allso push up the cost of housing pushing out the local residents..

i find it very sad that myself and outhers will never be able to afford property in the villages that us and are ancesters grow up in.

as the wages of the incomers are far above the wages in the south west..

  • sorry that should have said 100s not 1000s!

  • Just thought i'd have a say on this debate going on...in support of the Cornish.I am an Englishman and PROUD of it...but,that doesnt give me the right to be ignorant about its history like Gerard way above.Look at any OLD map of Britain and you will see a seperate Cornish Nation, the Anglo Saxons colonised Cornwall via state violence 1000s of years ago and gradually colonised it...oh yes and they dont teach that in English Schools, history is written by the victors.

  • Of course, some MPs agree with you. It would, after all, aid the abolition of England if Cornwall joined Scotland and Wales as a distinct region... er... sorry, nation. Welsh nationalists should not be attempting to brainwash people into thinking Cornwall's separate status is an established, historic reality. If we took it back far enough, Wales, Scotland and England would simply not exist. And then we could all be rival factions, pretending that we are tribes of long ago.

    Pathetic

  • hiya

erm.. cuse u obviously arent normall enough to let this go.. this is what i found:

Cornwall is a county of England, with its dying language similar to Breton spoken by a small minority.

Also, i went to Cornwall recently (to a castle) and there was a sign sayinh "English Herritage" yes guys... ENGLISH. not Cornish - English.

back to your little "get ur facts right" dito you guys

cornwall never was seperate. in fact when it was "seperate" it has either been part of wales or breton.

  • well feel free not to come back muppet. the English heritage sign s(yes that's how you spell it ) are regarded by many from here to be English Cultural aggression and I think you ll find many are replaced by the flag of St Pirran. Mia navidna kowzasawsneck.

  • you really sound like a redruth/camborne lad lolcome and do a film in the villages and see wat cornish people talk like we dont sound like toffs but i applaud your passion for cornwall but just go back to eton ,the real cornish will sort our probs out

  • wtf wat boys do in cornwall is get stoned

  • i know were u was skating u was down bowls i go dwn der evry day 5/5 4 gd video nd 4 beeing cornish lol

  • i have never heard of a cornishman going on strike.

  • We've done a lot of it over the centuries. Mostly whilst at war with England!

  • u are england

  • No, I am James.

Cornwall is legaly not part of England. I suggest doing some research on the matter before judging your own opinions.

  • no offence.. but i know that cornish people want to be a seperate country or principality BUT.. unlike wales and scottland - your not. i live in plymouth - which is really like 20 mins away from cornwall. I go there all the time. Just like any other county. Sorry but its the truth.

we did about it in diversity. cornwall doesnt have the recources to support itself (even if it does have the will power!!) and its has the smallest population of any ENGLISH county xx

  • Cornwall is legaly & historicaly seperate from England and protected fromever becoming part of England by the Charter of Pardon 1508. It has more right 2 self governance than England, Scotland & Wales in this this respect. Cornwalls industries have been taxed out of existence & in a self governing/taxing arena would have th added addition of Tourism for support. Having once been 1 of the richest nations in the world we could very easily economicaly support ourselves. see duchyofcornwall (.eu)

  • i dont care that much.. its just my mates from the rest of england think that it is a bit stupid this wanting to be a seperate principality. all im saying is.. move on!! Your part of england and well, thats that!

  • I find it a bit odd when people come along with their opinions and try to "convert" those of us who've spent years researching the facts and campaigning high profile battles. "Oh I looked in a map and it said you were part of England so get over it" Im sure the Welsh got the same problems from sheer ignorance in the 60's. Move on, we've never been a part of England and are very seriously fighting legal battles to correct the illegality of our assumed, current constitutional position.

  • no sorry

wales ARE a seperate country! Cornwall.. is not!!Look - im really not all that bothered but it is hillarious how u think u r a seperate country - when u arent

  • It's a bit sad when those arrogant enough to state false facts without ever researching think they can be the be all and end all authority over academics. There has been so much professional research as to the plethora of laws and intricate political and royal discrepancies proving Cornwall's true legal constitutional status and you think you know better? hmm!

  • Wales is not a country, it's a nation state, Scotland is not a country it's a nation state, England is not a country it's not even a state, but it is a nation. Cornwall is both a nation state and an extra territorial Duchy. Please please do a bit of research rather than replying with neducated opinions.

  • How do you have the audacity, as someone who clearly has nothing but their opinions to base their aguments on, to tell those hundreds of historians, soliciters, campaigners and politicians who have spent years researching the facts that they are wrong just because you say so? What on earth make you think that you know better than them?

  • Do what the rest of us all do, work hard get different jobs if you have too and the most important thing of all, stop bloody blaiming everyone else.

Why do people now always think its other peoples fault?

  • Because if nobody of our generation keeps the accents and dialect it will die out completely when our parents die.

Won't that be a bad thing? Diversity makes like SO much more interesting.

  • You don't sound Cornish AT ALL.

Wouldn't be a problem but most kids sound like you now, which means the Cornish dialect is dying out. Don't you think that's a bad thing?

  • Very thought provoking clip, well done, but you mixed up tin with coal, they are separate, let the coal areas worry about that!

Also when I was your age I was spraying slogans on walls but it does not work or is not worth much, things will not change that way, but I agree with you on the subject.

  • Not really, I was raised in Bolton but I've made an effort to sound a little Cornish, otherwise you kill diversity and we'll all sound the same, which is pretty much the opposite goal of the multiracial/culturalist attitude.

I was born in Cornwall, and when I hear you speak I hear a little part of my region dying.

  • Fuck England!

You need Cornwall just to see a fucking clean beach!

  • haha! you sound less cornish than I do, and I live in Kent

  • For the truth about Kernow/Cornwall, google search 'CornishNotEnglish'

Kernow yw konna tyr orth penn Breten Veur. Kernow yw bro geltek na Sowsnek. Kernow bys vyken !

  • 'IM SO CORNISH THATS WHY I SOUND LIKE IM FROM THE SOUTH EAST'

    Go fuck yourself.

  • and your volcom stuff is cool too

  • Well I liked the video and the skating too!

  • See the world? Come out of the closet and do some hard sweaty work with some black soot in Soho or San Francisco.

  • A question if I may. Would you be in favour of putting tariffs on imports for various industrial related materials, baring in mind that it is cheaper for some industries to import, say, steel for example, rather than inefficiently produce it at home?

  • nice vid

  • Kernow bys Vyken!

  • Gorgeous eyes <3

  • lil bit of a weirdo here i reckon...

"what are cornish boys to do?" - well it isnt gna be anaylsing graffiti now is it....

  • There has and was only one good graf artist who tagged tucky, he knows who he is and hasnt yet posted on this vid. as for the vid, idea was good, some shots were good, others needed more attention. Kernow rules and i want to be one of the new generation to employ the next generation. we all keep leaving the county! • and by the way,i aint so little.

  • it is ur rite.

  • I'm a recent graduate and there's a problem in Cornwall with jobs.

Cornwall is a country that needs regeneration once one of the leaders in the industrial revolution.

I'm English with some Cornish ancestry.

  • the cameraman was shit, he couldn't even keep up with what was on screen, i mean, he had like 6 attempts cos you did the same thing in each shot.

  • Its good tht even moshers remember the minds of them miners

    good vid

  • KERNOW BYS VYKEN

Cornish born and bred me 'andsome :)

    Totally agree

  • Tops - like the Welsh say, 'May the old language live on..' or in Cornish:

    "An lavar coth yu lavar gwyr;

    Byth dorn re ver dhe'n tavas re hyr;

Mes den hep tavas re gollas e dyr."

  • I'm from Plymouth, and you can see the cornish from across the river, they all walk round with web feet, and chewing straw. and you don't have to pay to go in, you have to pay to leave on the bridge, shows how desperate they are to cling to englishmen. inbreds.

  • good stuff its good to find something good through all the shit that is on here

    well done dude

  • i sympathise - but was confused...

does he REALLY want to work down a mine? i doubt it.

also - be THANKFUL that at least the cornish countryside has survived - unlike parts of the southeast and northwest - where it's all been bulldozed to build houses for morons.

also - he looks very like david bowie (in 1969)

equally - he doesn't sound remotely like the kind of uneducated people who were forced by ignorance to do dangerous, manual jobs down the mines...

  • I liked him, he seemed intelligent.

And simple flowy skateboarding like that is so nice to watch.

  • I live in cornwall woo :) I go mount hawke skate park alot ^-^

  • the new Redruth sign sais, 'redruth-world capital of cornish mining' there is a few problems with that statement.

  • thanks alot you just wasted 4 minuites 44 seconds of my life

  • i skate

so that why i would liked to have seen some proper skating

    other than you just pumping

  • There is still a lot of tin left in the ground in Cornwall, they stopped mining it because nearly all of the tin was used to make cans which is now made of aluminium because aluminium is abundant throughout the UK in bauxite ore.

  • It's because the Scots get all the fucking money mate...blood sucking leeches...give them independance and lets concentrate on England

  • Is it me or is there a lot of anger out there?

    Grow up & chill out!!

  • How about suck Alex parks Fadge!

  • And here's me thinking that Cornwall was all about eating pasties and surfing!!

  • theres alot more, like gossiping old biddys, max power style ford escorts and cornish lads who have never seen beyond plymouth and are too arrogant to want to.

  • Just goes to prove that THINKING isn't your strongest asset...

  • i live in cornwall :)

  • Hey, you have ice cream and pasties

  • 1.writing it in crap paint on a legal wall doesnt really have the same effect.

2.youre writing it over my tag.

  • Your 'tag' mate is a piece of shit. Get a life. I'm going to kick you head in.

  • Your a stereotypical skater boy. You probably listen to Avril lavigne. Fag.

  • You have a lot to learn about people.

  • nah m8.

  • Great vid. You guys should vote Mebyon Kernow and free yourself from royal leeches and undemocratic English rule.

  • in the next few weeks..im gonna re write the wall..as im a local graffiti artist:D

  • haha i live like 10 mins away :D

  • get an education and get out of this boring county.

  • Perhaps instead of skating he should be studying?

I've been to Cornwall many times and friends of my family that have done well have gone to uni.

You can't expect to rely on gov't to solve your problems. The solution must be for knowledge based industries and their ilk to be attracted to Cornwall.

Oh and they don't have it as bad as the north...

P.s. Mining will not return as a dominant industry. Cornwall is full of tin, not copper!

  • metal mining's coming back, whatd'you think the remaining companies are going to ignore the deep reserves under crofty now tins worth £10k+ per tonne, especially with the demand from china? they already restarted mining Sn/W ore east of plymouth.

also crofty never struck! they didn't stop unless the tin stopped paying...

  • Watch 'Architechtronic'

    It's awesome

  • wow the fellow in the green is a sexy bastard :-P

  • Get a fukin job tard

  • how long till cornwall gains independence from the english?

  • never hopefully

  • its not just cornwall. its a worldwide thing. a planet covered in ugly concrete and tarmac. slowly ruining our beautiful planet, turning it into something hideous and vile. skateboarders have learned to use all this concrete and tarmac and paving stones for our own inventive and creative ends.

skateboarders are a product of the world we where born into. its the nature of humanity.

we need to play. to keep our sanity.

the true spirit of skateboarding needs to taught in schools.

  • What are cornish boys to do? LISTEN TO APHEX TWIN!!!

  • Oh look it's Nathan Barley

  • hey JC I'm a big fan of Nathan Barley (Sydney) caught it on DivX before they shutdown thought it was awesome any news what happened to it.? did it get a run on UK TV where can i see any further EPS.?...thanks.....Peter

  • Hi Peter. The first series of was shown on UK TV (Channel 4) in 2005 and there have been strong rumours of a second series being made at some point. It's been out on DVD in the UK for a while, but I doubt it ever got an international release. Jack

  • thanks JC, yeah i liked so much i tried getting the ABC your BBC to get a hold of it but silly people didn't get it, anyway i thought it right on the money

  • What a posho.

What are Cornish boys to do? Spend mummy and daddys money making wanky documentaries thats what.

    Good video though ;o)

  • Unbelievable! Everytime someone speaks good English they're called a posho!

Being a chavo is what you want and want to be proud of?

  • What makes you think I'm a chav?

It was only a half hearted dig - hence the smiley.

    Chill winston!

  • I like this video! Well made interesting indeed

  • oh and when i say help im not just talking about someone directing you to the business link website!!! Finance needs to be provided too!!!!

Too many young people leave Cornwall because they think its dead and that there are no jobs but it doesnt have to be that way.

    Ill leave it there!!!

  • why is it that jobs here in Cornwall are still paying 5.53 / 6ph???? Im talking decent jobs too! I even saw a barrister job in Truro & the wage was £8 per hour! Crazy. Sadly means some employers take advantage despite they are doing well.. We need more help so that young people can get proper job experience & help to get their busisness ideas off the ground.

  • why some spends time for skateboarding.playing is much better

  • Cornwall isn't England.

Just like Scotland and Wales aren't.

  • Yes Cornwall is part of England! Just because somebody wishes something doesn't make it so. Celtic Bastards

  • Well actually it is a county of England. Let's face it, Cornish autonomy is a pipe dream.

  • So TRUE. There is Corwall and there is England. When asked which country I am from I always answer CORNWALL.

    Mebyon Kernow...KERNOW BYS VYKEN

  • So TRUE. There is Corwall and there is England. When asked which country I am from I always answer CORNWALL.

    Mebyon Kernow...KERNOW BYS VYKEN

  • good for you, can you hurry up and fuck off then?

  • isnt it great of so called "celtic" nationalism is based on not being English, lol

  • ...and so called "English" nationalism based on not being British, but being immigrants (Anglo-Saxons) *LOL*

  • r.............ight

  • You are aware that the Celts came from continental Europe. Oh no wait! You're a twat with shit for brains who doesn't know anything. *LOL*
