  • Gimme back that movie thief! Go take the other crappy one, this one is mine >:(

  • *after the thief survives the metal and fire death trap* Give the man some freak'in gold. He deserves it.

  • Seeeeeeexy voice, mmmm.

  • Instead of saying d'awwww at the end, I couldn't stop laughing. Matthew's voice really suited the cobbler, idk where that voice came from.

  • @pomoapple shean conery

  • @pomoapple well the cobbler never did speak so...dramatic was the idea.

  • The War Machine was destroyed by its own devices.

Zigzag became undone by the works of his own manipulation.

One=Eye, now powerless, is overtaken by the servants he abused.

All evil perishes under the weight of its own power. This movie rocks.

  • So much destruction! Its like a Michael Bay movie but without explosions!

  • "GIVE THEM TO ME GODDAMN I... oh fuck it, they're not worth this."

  • i can't even count the number of times the thief almost gets himself killed in this move

  • Omg...the song from The Rescuers. This movie has epic music!

  • Amazing how many arrows are being fired at the theif when all of the soldiers only seem to be standing around getting tossed and crushed by the machine falling apart around them.

  • I THINK TACK ATE A BODYBUILDER OR SOMETHING JEGUS HIS VOICE WOW

  • WHAT THE TACK

  • Miramax was the thief

  • Am I the only one who loves how absurd Tack's speaking voice was?

  • @TheDisneyfanatic99 Indeed, it's such a quirky, great touch. :)

  • All of that mayhem, from a tack...

  • The Thief scene went on and on and on... AND NOT ONE GOD DAMN TIME WAS I BORED. BRILLIANT

  • Tacks voice is Bond.......James Bond.

  • AND I LOVE YOU...

  • i do like the re-cobbled version much better but... the voice for Tack was better, in my opinion

  • @plottinganime The voice here is mainly a bit of humor and shock because it's not what you're expecting. That's why I like it. :)

  • Tack swallowed a fifty year old body builder... O-o

  • This is without a doubt THE greatest animated movie of all time. Of all time. And thank goodness for the restoration too; I don't think I would have liked the cut versions.

  • i have to say, i'm very impressed with this movie. I owuld have loved to see this on theaters, not that miramax bullshit

  • That thief is a crafty motherfucker

  • This right here, is what I call thieving, at a boss level.

  • I believe the cobbler's voice doesn't really fit him :/

  • @jxxx94 That's the point, it's supposed to be shocking.

  • Those flies have to be some of the most loyal/determined animals ever.

  • Looks like the Thief just got the world's awesomest roller coaster ride.

  • oh, i like this. i like this much better than the miramax release.

  • Is any one else a bit intimidated by Tack's voice in the end?

  • Is it wrong for me to find that cobbler(tack) both cute and hot?

  • @HyperSweety18 Not in the slightest. You're not alone.

  • 3:35 - 4:45, that was something I trained for in Army

  • I love how calm the Thief is in all of this chaos. It sort of reminds me of my cat's reaction when I carry him around in a laundry basket.

  • That was a beautiful piece of work. I don't believe this was ever mentioned during my animation classes when i was in college. Just a wonderful work of art.

  • Best amusment park EVER!

  • I think Tack was crushed during the collapse of One Eye's army and a passing by hunk took his place.

  • That's some seriously impressive animation at 0:36

  • Well I guess when you make a machine that implausible you're just begging for it to be taken down in an implausible way.

    -Nostalgia Critic

  • I love the moment when The Thief is like "You know what? FUCK IT" and just goes home. Everybody has their breaking point.

  • Haha when I first starting watching this, I thought Tac was gangly, pale, scrawny, had bad posture... but by the end I was like ooo he looks good.

  • That Thief Is The Luckiest Man Alive.

  • Ahh, so that's where the movie went, the Thief took it!

  • Lolz XD I LOVE that gag, but I loved Matthew Broderick as Tack too; his voice is just too adorable. I love this and the messed up one from mirimax (I can't help it, it was a huge part of my childhood).

  • Dat....voice? Wtf was that??

  • @Wpb12 According to Wikipedia, "That" was Sean Connery.

  • @Wpb12 He is a MAN now.

  • @Wpb12 Sean Connery, that's what:)

  • 8:17 who would have known that is what would actually end up happening to this film.

  • DAT ENDING!!!! XDDD

  • I love that Tack didn't have any lines until the end. But I thought that voice didn't suit him. He struck me as a more timid, unassuming, quiet natured character, and I thought his voice should reflect that, perhaps if it was softer, a little higher pitched, in a whispering tone of voice. Not all deep and macho. But that's just my opinion.

  • @ftahi49 That's the point. It's a joke.

  • @ftahi49 thats Sean Connery's voice

  • @ftahi49 I thought this too!!...But I'm heavily influenced by the un-cobbled version of Tack's voice x'DD

  • @ftahi49 it was supposed to be a gag--the princess' double-take doesn't quite get it across. it's sean connery!

  • the thief would be rich if he lived in the world of dragon ball z

  • Someone really needs to fire their contractor.

  • @Rosebunse lol thats exactly what i was thinking, like i'd be pissed if i was the engineer that designed that warmachine.

  • @bloodydove5718 LOL, but it sure looked beautiful. I can't believe they did all that without CGI! Such perspective too, like you really could feel the vertigo.

  • I love how the Thief is just entirely unfazed about what's happening to him, so long as he gets the balls, that's all that matters. It makes it all the more fun to watch.

  • damn that thief has the best luck

  • I was really not exception such a heavy robotic voice from the cobbler.. I pictured him having a softer more subtle voice (almost child-like really)

but still.. such a beautiful film <3

  • Until this part of the movie I hated the Thief. After watching the ending, he became the best character.

  • reminds me of the Blue Meanie from yellow submarine o.o

  • my favorite part is when the thief takes THE END letter by letter away and then takes the entire film :)

  • Whilst watching this for the billionth time with my fellow animation-loving friends I started wondering about the Thief's flies....if you look closely, they have little Thief heads and robes on them. a. how the fuck did the animators not die of exhaustion drawing those tiny fuckers and b. are they related to the Thief somehow? Are they his children? Does the Thief come from some fucked up giant insect species and has to steal to feed his mutant children?

....I need to stop thinking about this.

  • This film is a true epic, shame it was never finished in the way Richard Williams wanted it.

  • The theif at 6:42 inner thoughts "That's it, I've enough of this BS for today. Just take those horribly cursed things already. F***!" XD Honestly I like this "giving" away part more than the original, fits more in tune with the theif rather than just giving them to Tac for no reason other than to live.

  • good job tak! one in a million!

  • the thief is so fucking lucky....

  • Seems to me, that this is kinda symbolic of the new age technology, and how we built contraptions to either destroy another, or make our lives easier, and in doing so, we destroy ourselves with what we created. I mean, nothing in that golden city (Utopia) would be capable of such destruction and horror. :l

  • I liked him better when he was pale, he looked more lovable D:

  • a lot better than the arabian knight cut. but it's still a shame how much more potential this had. the first part of the movie was just incredible, and then tack changes into this tan guy and everything is mediocre from then on.

  • That thief stole the whole movie. Literally! XD

  • Tack's silent for the entire movie, then it's like "holy s***, deep voice!"

  • They should turn this scene into a rollar coaster ride.

  • i think the movie is more of a visual treat than a story one. i'll agree that the story is quite weak, but it's stunning to look at and the sound is amazing as well. all in all, i didn't regret seeing it, but it could have been better. i think we can ALL agree that it was better than the version with... songs...

  • i loved the thief, always so fluid moving but so awkward at the same time...

  • Up until the end there, the thief definitely deserved the award for "Most Dedicated at Job."

  • @CrystaltheWaterLily you almost feel bad for him at one point, like 'christ, can't the guy just successfully steel something?'

  • @slashnyaoi Pretty much. I was actually rooting for him lol.

  • The Thief steals the show during the last 10 minutes of the film where the animation is going all pyrotechnic and the orchestra is blaring.....and then in the final scene he LITERALLY steals the show (being a thief and all) and vanishes into the negative space.

fucking brilliant....I'm practically moved to tears by the brilliance of the idea.....what a way to end such a great film.

  • that thief CRACKS ME UP! XD

  • Awwww, you know what, this is perhaps the nicest wedding scene I've seen, I love how they hug each other before kissing <3

  • Tack tanned SO MUCH lol ... and dat voice Dx

...okay, I've heard of "stealing the show", but that was just ridiculous.

  • The part that caught my eye out of all of this was when Tack said "I love you"

  • I've never seen either version of this film until now... and I have to say I'm glad I watched this one first. Had this version had a chance to truely shine in theaters, it would have become an instant classic without a doubt. I'm shocked that I had never heard of this film until just a few days ago.

  • They should totally make a ride like that of the Thief's. Who else agrees?

  • @iwakeupat6 Ride nothing. This would make for an epic platforming segment in a game.

  • @iwakeupat6 It would probably be a little traumatizing... lol.

  • Now, this is why this version is better than the butchered cut Miramax put out! Because of the lack of talking, when the Cobbler finally CHOSE to talk, it spoke volumes! X-0

  • luckiest escape ever!

  • So the cobbler was Microsoft Sam the whole time!!

  • @toocheaptobuyatripod Actually, he was... someone else. I'll give you a hint:

    "The name's Tack, James Tack."

  • @toocheaptobuyatripod it was originally supposed to be sean connery XP

  • okay, was NOT expecting that voice for Tack.

  • It would be cool if some one made this into a roller coaster ride

  • Jesus this was incredible, fucking incredible and I loved tag's voice he aint said a word and it just nailed it at the end exactly how I thought he would sound , didnt realize it was sean connery.

But man Zig Zag had a grim demise and Vincent Price was magically as his voice. Anyone else see the similarities with colouring and style with samurai jack? I really could see it having a huge impact on him and I thought the theif reminded me of the thing in Ice Age that goes mad for its prices.

  • I really want the War Machine to be part of a video game.

It'd probably be I Wanna Be the Guy difficulty, but at least it's so atmospheric.

  • breathtaking

and the end with the thief was really funny XD

  • Very impressive. Must have been a hell of work to complete such a complex animation frame by frame, without using the computer. Respect for Mr. Williams & his team.

  • HOLY SHIT SEAN CONNERY!?

  • yum-yum: I love you *ROBOT VOICE*

    Tak: I...love you.

whatvoicewhat??? what what? tak voice what? He sounds so... GUH! what voice?

  • @LongLiveLink3 it is sean connery

  • @Recedebo WHAT~!?!?!? They got one of the sexiest voices EVER to voice this guy, and ALLL he says. ALL he says is "I love you" in a robot-y voice???

NOOOO - I'm NEVER getting OVER this :U

  • @LongLiveLink3 I personally still thought it was sexy, hehe. ;)

  • @LongLiveLink3

voice sounded fine was a bit decraded but I thought his voice sounded incredible watched it again just to here his voice man, epic the voice didnt disappoint me.

  • @Henbot The voice does sound a little degraded but that's part of the reason it works, it sounds very retro, lol. And it's a great pay off after waiting for the character to speak for the whole story. :)

  • Thief has pure dumb luck......or as my boyfriend says: "THAT LUCKY SONOVABITCH!"

  • oh shit the thief is going after the fabric of time and space now WHAT EVER SHALL WE DO

  • I'm honestly trying to figure out how the One Eye guys planned to use the giant iron as a weapon.

They've gotta be some seriously devious SOBs.

  • I guess the Thief stole the show! -shot-

  • THATS WHERE THE REAL MOVIE WENT the thief stole it XD musta been a hastle to get it back from him XD

  • @ShadowFox909 Yeah no wonder it's taken so long to see this, lol.

  • Maybe it's just me, but having that deep voice come out of the cobbler is like 0_o Haha, I love this movie though!!!

  • @idkjade Well that's the reaction you're supposed to have, lol. ;)

  • 6:40 i love how the thief is like, "aw, f*ck it" and storms off LOL XD

  • This was just lovely to look at, I can't even begin to comprehend how long it must off took the animators to draw this fram by fram. I really don't want to sound rude or anything, but other than the art and the amazing climax... there isn't much of a story. I think that if they focused just a bit more on the story the film would have been perfect in every way. I really enjoyed it, but I think there should of been more conflict throughout. Thanks so much for uploading! :)

  • The whole scene plays out like some crazy ass dream. I've had nightmares like this, with myself travelling through some demented rube-goldeberg machine.

The skill behind this is outstanding.

  • Thief: Oh hell no. You can keep the balls. I'm not about to try and steal them at the end of the movie right at the climatic scene while standing on a precarious board while a pit of pikes and spears are below me. Screw you guys I'm going home.

  • Thief is a master of Selective Obliviousness.

  • Yeah... this version is a whole lot better.

Tack seemed even more real without saying a word (till the very end lol) and the Theif quite literally stole the movie.

  • The theif is the luckiest man alive...

  • i like how the theif proves you can obtain your dream no matter what obsticals are in your way lol

  • What are those things in the pit again?

  • @nightshade1124 You mean the alligators Zigzag forgot to feed?

  • loved it!

  • I'm so conflicted! I do love the voice they chose in the cut where he talks, but he shouldn't be talking at all. I don't think this one fits him all too well

  • I do love this film, but the sequence with the thief recollecting all three balls went on for far too long.

  • @Shiruvi I didn't mind. After all, we did manage to see some of the greatest animation ever created by Man's hands!

  • A truly enjoyable film...too bad it wasn't completed.

  • Shit! That's a hellova voice! XD

  • @EdgarsKun and its the only time he speaks for the whole film :D

  • Why does Tack's skin color keep getting darker towards the end? It was pretty much totally white at the start, then peach somewhere in the middle, and now it's brown.

    Love this! :D

  • @0TheSweetRevenge0 I think it is him becoming more of a character. By this point he looks like Yum-Yum (what a pathetic name) and the others, where as at the start he looked like he was an infinished part of the animation.

  • And wow, who'd have thought the Cobbler had such a marvelous baritone voice there.

  • Please don't tell me that Im the only one disturbed by Tack's voice.. It really doesnt suit him!

  • @SEXiTOPo3o Sorry, I loved his voice. That it doesn't suit him is the whole point. ;)

  • The thief smacks of Gollum. In the face of certain fiery death he remains fixated only on his golden treasure

  • Am i the only one that wanted to see more of Tack with his clothes ripped off? >_>

  • @BishtrainerTai16 Nope ;D

  • @BishtrainerTai16 Forget Tack. I rather see Princess Yum-YUm clothes come off. That's just me.

  • When the thief stole the movie, I screamed, "DISNEEEEEEEEEY!"

  • Tack's only line voiced by Sean Connery......nice choice

  • Whoa... what happened to one eye? Did he just get crushed to death by his giant concubines?

  • @HParker001 Yeah, actually. Though I wish it had been animated. :|

  • @ashleighisalive That is a gold tooth.

  • COBBLERS VOICE SCARED THE CRAP OUT OF ME. SRSLY, I DID SHIT BRICKS.

  • i never imagined his voice to be so deep....i think it would have been better if he'd always been a mute...

  • The Thief stole all the missing scenes from this movie.

  • Am I the only one who didn't expect the cobblers voice to be that deep at all?

  • dude, this guy is, like, the god of all happenstance!

  • @ 7:50 omg omg omg omg he spoke he spoke he spoke he spoke you saw his mouth you saw his mouth you saw his mouth he's so hot

  • @ 6:20 WOW TACK LOOKS HOTTER AND MORE HUMAN THAN HE HAS IN THE ENTIRE MOVIE!!!! XD XD XD XD

  • I love how the only words that Tack spoke throughout the entire film was "I love you". This film is WAY better than the Miramax version. They gang-raped this poor film. It was extremely well-animated (at least the parts that were finished, anyway) and the fact that there were no stupid, bland songs to fuck it up was even better.

  • I love that the thief is so nonchalant during the entire thing. He's just like, "I'm taking my balls and leaving!" :l

  • I love how Vincent Price seems more annoyed than anything that he's getting eaten alive xD

  • woah i think the father of that thief is bugs bunny o some other cartoon, there was no way he could scaped a live

  • Yes it is I, the mighty One-Eye, and with my army of extremely fragile unmoving domino men I will see to it that- Oh fucking hell a tack!!!!

  • Theif: the movie is MINE!

  • And to think, what the thief did at the end of the movie, is what The Completion Bond Company did to Richard Willams. Oh cruel irony.

  • 5:22 RANDOM PIG!

  • Lol, he steals the movie at the end too XD;

  • WTF Tak suddenly turned creepy at the end! I'm think I'm gonna sleep with my light on at night from now on 0_e oh lol

  • @TheBatmanSmells I liked his voice personally, lol, I guess I like how it was the woman who helps him come out of his shell. As opposed to the guy helping the girl in Aladdin, heh.

  • Thief @ 6:45 : Screw you I'm going home!
