What can I say, you are obviously very special to have pressed the horn many times, possibly on every cruise, several times per cruise. Well done you.
I'm just saying what I was told by the Crew. If any one gets the chance to go Into the Bridge you should. Due to heightened security it doesn't happen too often and that is a fact. We had a great tour, just love the Magic :-)
I don't usually play bingo on board but on this trip it certainly made it worth while. I'm very proud of the fact that I'm the only non crew member to have pressed the Mickey horn too. I may post my Facebook link to the pictures on here.
OMFG!!!!! They did that with a P&O ship when we went to Gibaltar on the Dover to Barcelona relocation last month! Deja vu...
And you have to LOL at the British... they had complaints from the locals in Dover because they went overboard with the horn, as it was the last sail away from Dover.
5deheld - Unfortunately it wasn't this occasion that I pressed the horn. I did it on the 17th April (Saturday) and was only allowed to press it once. I took plenty of pictures to remember the day by. Its only a button you know and its not even Mickey shaped!! The bridge is amazing though , the ship just about sails itself. I was so excited to win and on my forst Bingo game too. Cheers, Mark
@geordiemark1991 I so would've done the bingo if I knew that was a prize. My party were lucky enough to get a bridge tour and Lizzie (Captain's assistant) had to usher me and my sister (me being 19 and her 32) past the button... and the Captain's hat and jacket which he just left lying around. She could see us eyeing them all.
We were on the Magic when this happened, was amazing wasn't it? I won the prize of sounding the Mickey horn in bingo on the ship. I am the first and only non crew to have ever pressed the horn, what an honour.
@geordiemark1991 Hey, sry but thats not true, I pressed the horn for this ship back in like 2000, because we knew the vp of the company, he got us tours and got us to press it when we were leaving nassau
@geordiemark1991 Sorry - I have been on the bridge twice and sounded the Mickey Whistle each time. On my first time my Mom also got to sound it and on my 2nd time my best friend also got to sound it. They do it a lot. I even have a "Magical Moments" certificate signed by Capt. John Barwis marking my turn.
@geordiemark1991 Uhh I don't know about that. I've sounded the Mickey whistle from the bridge several times on both the Magic and the Wonder dating back to 2005.

Who is that annoying hick in the background in the audio cackling "Copy that one" and "You ain't heard nothing yet." Sounds like she's about due for a PBR and another cigarette.

The Disney ships don't hold the same spirit as P&O do. The Brits sure know how to party.

@geordiemark1991 I always love the awe the Disney horn evokes.
That's a wonderful price you won, Mark! Did you get to sound the horn on this occasion... are you in the clip?
