It's amazing how Harry and John always come up with some of the most overlooked film scores of all time. I mean Chicken Run, Shrek, Narnia, Antz, etc. soundtrack should have at least been nominated for an Academy Award and/ or Grammy award for Best Original Score. The scores are on Youtube and if you listen to them, you'll see exactly what I mean. I'm the How To Train Your Dragon soundtrack probably won't get nominated and that was a good one. Overall, their scores are should get more credit.

It's almost a parody of the great escape...there's so many quirky militaristic things about it...like why the hell would you have a solitary confinement chamber for a chicken? Or how about the guard tower...buy the chicken coop lol It makes no sense but it adds a great feel to the movie

it was originally designed to be a parody of war films!!! the chickens are like the POWS. My great grandfather sucessfully escaped from his prison camp (Laufen) by knocking out his and two of his friends guards and nicking their uniforms, and then putting the gaurds in the solitary confinement cells!!!!
