This isn't a tutorial. Call it what it is. You're showing off your yarn and work. A tutorial should involve, as odd as this may sound, teaching. If you insist on making more of these videos, pick up your hook and yarn and SHOW US HOW TO DO IT!

EXPERT VILLAGE SUCKS! Atleast put the pattern up so that those who can't see what she did b/c of crappy camera angels on a not so camera friendly yarn color can have an" idea" of what to do. All these complaints on expert village and they still do nothing to improve there "instructional" vids.

To all of you wanting a better teacher..check out user ( tjw1963!) she gives clear instruction and even slows the video down so you can SEE what she's doing!

me to im 9 and i only know how to make a chain and my grandma has been croheting for ever but she has not for a couple weeks because she does not have time but she has a book and you can by books at different craft stores and my grandma is really good she can make blankets scarfs hats socks shirts gloves

For those of you who are complaining you have to understand that crochet like many other things in life require patience and the ability to work well with your hands.

A few tips for you all.

1. practice on your basic chain first. Don't rush into projects you don't think your ready for.

2. when using a video tutorial watch it over and over again. first time just pay attention, second time try to go along with it and don't be afraid to pause.

3. be patient. Rome wasn't built in a day

I find this woman endearing but her videos are just simply not helpful. I learned to crochet from youtube, and I have become quite competent at it, but I did so with the help of videos which showed technique and did so clearly and up close. You're sweet, Beth, and I wish you the best, but I have no idea why expertvillage chose you as a teacher.

I don't knoow about the specific pattern used for THIS blanket, but here is a good one.

ch a multiple of 4

ch2, sc across

ch2, turn, sc across

(the first ch2 counts as one sc, so you must skip a stitch at the beginng of each row)

ch3, turn, *sk1, dc in next 3, dc in skipped stitch * to end

repeat 3 rows
