  • JEDI MIND TRICKS - VIOLENT BY DESIGN ...best album ever!!

  • The other version is from Movin' With Nancy. Both are amazing but the other has an amazing video and I think she shows just a bit more attitude in it, like when when she gives her signature 'Yeah' at the end of the 'born a little ugly' verse, and when she say's 'they'll forget to bury". But I can listen to either for days. Check out Lee's solo version, also. He was the man.

  • There are two versions of this that I know of... and this one is the best. Thanks for positing it!!

  • @blondie9999original You are so right, I think it's the best one also.

  • Nancy sings the Blues!!!!

  • There are TWO versions of Nancy singing this! The other version is missing the backing girls singing 'Fridays child' and is NOT as good as this one! Thank you for posting!

  • Dalida

  • nice, but i bet frank didnt like it, he said something like ,elvis& rock n roll were shit trash! wonder how he felt when the king was screwin his daughter! im italian, but rock was bigger than frank..

  • I used to play this song on the M.V. Taku, I was only nine.

One of the songs that haunted me till I found out why.

  • I used to play this song on the M.V. Taku, I was only nine.

  • wrote "friday" into search box

    rebecca , rebecca everywhere

oh what horrors i have endured

  • Oh. yessssssssssssss!!!!!!!!

  • No offense to Moody Blues but play this song after "nights in white satin" both of melody sounds related

  • i love this song, classic

  • Wonderful song. Nancy's voice is great.

    Congratulations on the superb video!

Thank you, I wish you a pleasant weekend.

  • gracias po este aporte, es un gran regalo.....

  • Wyze Mindz - Friday's child

    Apollo Brown - Friday's child!

  • @xixo1906 werd

  • sublime

  • Before Blondie( Deborah Harry) there was Nancy Sinatra...

  • Lee Hazelwood, R.I.P.

  • Love this song-- this particular version.

  • man as i said so many times b4, the old days just had a certain quality, and omfg that guitar in the begining,,, AMAZING,,, lets all get in the time machine guys, whose coming? :D

  • One of her best...not a big hit in New Zealand but we loved it and still do. At age 15 songs like this opened worlds to us.

  • It says a lot about the songs from this era, when you can come back to listen to them again and the're still just as catchy as when they were released.

  • I learnt all her songs when I was 10, now 'Im 51 and I still remember it all. crazy, I cant even remember what I did yesterday.

  • sad to think that the trashy women on stage today pattern themselves after this classy lassie

    ...

  • "Words from Mr. Len Part One" by jedi mind tricks

  • @YoungDirtyCwalk

this is why i found this...its ill.

  • OOOOOOhhhh this is gon be a great sample for a beat.. Epocalypse allways been a fridays child.. Its da best day of da week I rep da code of da streets LOL.. Mafia land..

  • aaahhhhhhhhhh oooooooooooo

  • The first part of the song, from beginning to the start of the lyrics, I swore this song was made recently. Then the lyrics started and it sounded 60's-ish again.

  • WOW!!! That's all I can say. You know? I love the 60's...too bad I was born on the 76 :o) If I could, I'd go back in time to the 60's....they rules!!!!

    Peace!!!

  • Maybe the best song ever done by Nancy. Good blues tune.

  • Begging to be sampled this one was. The vocals only come out the right channel easy pickings for Stoupe and D-Sisive.

    Fantastic song.

  • Nancy's "How Does That Grab You?" and "Nancy In London" (the album this version of FC is from) albums both had Nancy's vocals on the right side only. No idea what that was about. I prefer this version to the one she did for Movin' with Nancy.

  • @TheHordesofGreenland Hey man in what song did D-Sisive sample this? Thanks

  • jedi mind tricks ftw

  • really a great song...

  • this is great...just great

  • The guitar was probably by Billy Strange himself.

This is the hit single version. For some strange reason they put a different version on her hits compilations. Is that other one on the Movin' LP?

  • in her LP "Movin' with Nancy" there is her more succesful version of this hit, the same you her in her compilations, this beautiful version is rare to hear.

Miss Nancy Sinatra is the best¡¡¡

  • Thanks for the info. It bugs me that the single version is ignored.

  • i love this version the best with all the guitar licks!

  • cool song, love her clothes!

  • i was thinking the same. Cute outfit.

  • And totally cute figure to bring out the outfit too! She's so adoreable!

  • Great song! Thanks for posting.

  • my mother was a teenager then:)

In Poland there's a very well known book for teenagers, called "Dziecko piątku" - means "Friday's Child" (by Małgorzata Musierowicz). It was very very popular in my generation. i'm courious, if the author known the song.

  • great:) My mother was a teenage girl then:)

  • I remember this song from the 60s. I don't think that it was a big hit, but I loved it. She was such a big star then and almost everything she did got a lot of air play .I suppose her last name had nothing to do with it!!!!! Actually, it might not have because her brother made records and I don't htink that he ever had a hit. Anyway, I really did like this one.

  • this should be a soundtrack for jane eyre or something....in david lynch's movies i always hear roy orbison :)...i don't know why still...

  • i could totally hear this in a david lynch film.

  • who is playing the guitar???

  • I never heard this version love it

  • I never heard this version either, first time with the background vocals. I don't like it as much but the song is too good to compline about it.

Plus the lead guiter solo is better in the other version.

  • I was born on a Friday, this song IS the song of my life....

  • "Where do you took this jewel from?"

    i don't know...

  • NANCY SINATRA ¡¡¡¡, this is a real gem¡¡

Where do you took this jewel from?

    This version is diferent¡¡¡

  • Stoupe again with the samples. Sick.

  • I still don't here the part where he sampled the mr len skit from. He must've used an extended version of this song.

  • Try the version on the Movin' with Nancy record. That should have the intro you're looking for.

  • thanks.

you can find this song on "The Essential" album, i don't know the original album, sorry...

  • me-o-my-oh! what a tune. thank you so much for posting this. wow. what album is this off. methinks I go out, buy it, and let it be my shrink.
