You must understand that the climate change has speed up the retreating of glaciers around the world. They have time lapse videos online showing the retreating of glaciers. You can't deny the glacier is melting can you? This isn't good for the environment & the surrounding communities around it.

@karimnovak je suis d'accord avec toi sauf que, en anglais, il y a écrit dans la description que depuis des milliers d'annés, tous les 4 ans, le glacier Perito Moreno en Argentine ou au Chili se détruit (pendant 4 ans il grandit, puis il tombe morçeau par morçeau).

It's depressing when people feel the need to make stuff up, as if this kind of thing needs embellishment to make it more impressive.  The ruptures of the dams that form when the glacier closes off the Brazo Rico do not happen "every four years like clock work". The historical record shows that they happen irregularly, at intervals ranging from less than 1 to 17-18 years.

i'd like to point out an important fact about the rupture of the perito moreno glacier. the event has always happened in between periods of time of 15 years aproximately. the last two ruptures though have happened with an interval of only 2 years (from 2004 to 2006, and then 2008). it was big news here in argentina. this tells a lot about how our planet is changing, and may i add, not in a good way. if it continues like this, not even my argentine grand-children will be able to see it.

@canadian7233 it does not happen every 4 years. and during the rupture, the 'fresh' water from the glacier mixes up with the sea water surrounding it, so it does not provide any water resource for human use. i don't mean to offend, just point out a couple facts.
