if this show was on these days the liberals would declare it racist! Confedrate flag a big no no! and the good ol boys as mentioned in the song would make these liberals cry like bitches!
Friday was Dukes night in my house.I was 8. This show took over my life. Everything was Bo and Luke Duke form there on out. And the hottest girl on the playground was always Daisy Duke.(If we could talk her into it, that is!)Life was so simple back then.
From the UK - love rednecks! Get the rebellious spirit in hand and look after your constitution. Your country is the last bastion of freedom on the planet. Protect it at all costs!!!!
The production WB shot this on the back lot across the street from my mom's apt.where I grew up in Burbank, Ca. 91505 N. Hollywood Way. and W.Oak St. I would watch a car carrier come pulling in each shoot full of about 8 of these General Lee Cars piled on it & they would crash demo them in each clip inside that studio backlot.Almost all of my friend's parents worked for the Movie Studios back then in the 1970s.I am a director of movies now, Licensed with 3 motion picture industry Companies.
This Should Have Like 10 Million Views. This Show Is Obsessive! I Watch It The Second It Comes On.AND I Even Do The Yee-Haw Thing That Bo & Luke Do @ The End!!
just a good old boy, never meaning no harm, beats all you ever saw, been in trouble with the law since the day they was born, straightening them curves, flattening them hills, someday the mountain might get em but the law never will. Making their way the only way they know how, thats just a little bit more than the law will allow, Just some good old boys, wouldn't change if they could, fightening the system like 2 modern day robin hoods.
@horseman528 I always used to think it was: "Fighting the system like a TRUE modern-day Robinhood" but "Two modern-day Robinhoods" actually *does* make more sense! LOL
@dslgunner1977 I'm a Waylon Jennings fan and miss the simplicity of those days gone by. The world changes but some things never do. I don't know for certain I'm right but thats the way I heard it.
@horseman528 I totally agree...Waylon was a legend...one of the best singers/songwriters/musicians of all times, period! Your spot-on about the 'simplicity of days gone by'; the days before X-Box, cellpones, texting, etc.
I wasn't saying that your lyrics were wrong, at all...I was just saying that for years, and years *I* was singing the wrong lyrics! lol. Now that you posted the correct lyrics, that line actually makes much more sense than what I thought it was (I knew the rest of the song).
and i remember the new luke was in a chair in season seven intro and he would turn around and look at the camera and him and the other cast would be around some trees's are a tree and the new luke was in the tree in part of that intro and i also remember in season 7 intro they would show the car driving down embankments and dirt roads hood and engine first and i remember they would show like three scenes per character when it would be coming on i miss the two long intro's of these two seasons.

they have cut back and skipped a lot of the scenes they used to show in each season like in season six 1983 to 1984 part of the lyrics was blake and blond thats because luke had black are dark hair for part of this season and bo had his usual blond sandy blond hair in this season and bo had like supper man curl on the right side of his head and it was going to the left and then in season 7 they had a new luke duke with dark are black hair names tom snadish are tom snatish he was tall like bo

@redilliop Hahaha...Me too! Dukes of Hazzard was my very favorite shows in the early, through mid 1980's (and still is!)...I wish I still had my Matchbox "General Lee" Charger...better yet, I wish I had a fully-restored 1969 Charger, painted and customized just like "The General"....If I had that, AND a 78 "Bandit" Trans Am, my life would be complete!
if i dont make a charger like this before i die i will kill my self... wait a minute, also you know this also makes me sad think, some day this show AND the 69 charger will be forgotten...
@agentlee2815 well it's a 1969 dodge charger b-body they where really popular back then but ever since the dukes of Hazzard aired on television they are very rare car and its really hard to find
