  • I've counted how loing a dyson airblade takes to dry my hands, and it was a lot longer than 10 seconds.

  • Mitsubishi has infact released these dryers in the West, but after Dyson! However i gather Mitsubishi's Jet Towel handryer has market share of most of Asia as its been around the best part of 2 decades now and is in its 7th version!! In my office we favour the mitsubishi dryer after a trial with dyson proved to be dissapointing due to the high level of noise and messy operation compared to the mitsubishi!!

  • There is nothing stopping Mitsubishi, or any other Japanese company, introducing their dryer in the West. Regardless, the Dyson Airblade is very good and nothing in this video is false or misleading.

  • Your opinion is your own and not something I will try and change or alter. We cannot and would not overstate or fabricate claims - hence there are independent test houses that validate any claims made.

  • Don't be stupid, so who invented the cyclone vac, you or your uncle

  • @swyda001 In James Dyson's autobiography he actually says how much he hates the word "buissness," because he says "Buisness is basically the process of making money."

  • Dyson know most of the public is not educated in these matters and the public generally think that their country is at the cutting edge ( all foreigners come "here" to improve standard of living) so therefore dyson and others know that most people will not question their misleading self trumpeting advertising

  • Dyson unveils faster hand dryer...

even the Japanese dyson vac cleaners are better than the original uk models, so i would say this is a blatant copy and cash in by dyson, maybe the 10 year patent was up for mitsu. they have had these airblade style dyers in japan for over 10 years.

  • The Dyson technology is very different to the Mitsubishi machine. The only similarity is 'hands in' technique, similarities end there. The jet towel uses jets of air and still relies on evaporation. The Dyson Airblade uses a continuous sheet of clean unheated air to literally scrape the water from hands.

    I hope that clarifies things.

  • dream on dyson team...

.. you basically know that alot of public is dumb to tech around the world, so coming up with adverts like "finally a hand dryer that works" is not questioned enough... because funny there have been hand driers that work in some parts of the world for nearly 10 years now... and in my opinion the the dyson doesn't work as well as the mistubishi one that the dyson bears more than a striking resemblance to....

  • ..however dyson know that in the markets they go after that most people will have not experienced the mitsubshi one or known that it has existed for ages... so hence dyson can over state claims of how good (or not) their product is.

  • Oh darn, I saw a commercial for this and thought it was for home use. Bummer, because I hate using towels, even paper towels.

  • I used one of these during the weekend, fantastic things, much better then normal dryers

  • good call...how do u dry your pee pee after you wash it

  • Care to elaborate?

  • what about being able to dry ur face? other models allow you to rotate the air nozzle upwards.

  • they have this in japan already in public restrooms everywhere - we're a little behind.

  • no we're not. If you live in california they have them in the restrooms at the Universal City Walk. Tried them, they're that fast!

  • I already tried them in Japan about 3 years ago in their public restrooms there. And yes, they are very fast. Didn't know they were at City Walk- cool.

  • But I unit in my building is a Mitsubishi. Are you saying Dyson sold the rights to his invention rather than putting his own name on it?

  • yep vibrating pizza, and then into the live lair of little white mice.

  • did he say the water drops onto a vibrating pizza? cool!

  • Thats all very nice, but what if you spill a drink down you, or have cold hands. That thing ain't gonna do diddly squat. But a normal hand-dryer....

  • this is so cool. and it may be a copy but he has the marketing appeal to actually put it into massive use.

  • I don't understand how Dyson can take credit for inventing something that has been in Asia for the past two years.

  • It's been asia because he took it there.
