I was diagnosed 10 years ago with AGN,a lot of blood and protein in the urine. Had a kid biopsy ,it confirmed AGN. I control my BP, very high BP. So high 3 yrs ago I had a major TIA. BP under control with meds, plavix/asprin for TIA. Not on dialysis thank goodness. 53 yrs old I hope it won't go any further as long as I keep my BP ok. NOTE: I've had strep through 17 times in the past 20 yrs, and bronchiatis 3 times. My doctors say it was caused from strep.
Salts are not properly filtered and too much sodium in our body causes hypertension because it adds more load to the blood and and blood pressure is dependent to the blood volume. Another is by way of diffusion. when our blood vessels are highly concentrated with sodioum, extra cellular fluid enters to blood vessel adding more volume to the blood thus increasing blood pressure.
As you can see the pt. has inflammation which is realated to the disease itself. Inflammation can lead to hypertension because there's no proper circulation/there is great resistance. Also, any disease that involves another organ(specifically, kidney) usually leads to hypertension. It is called secondary hypertension.
when the nephrons are damaged, filtering functions of the kidney is affected.
