In about 1980, Cadbury Easter Creme Eggs were advertised in Canada with a commercial set in a roller disco, using a jingle that sounds suspiciously like this one.

I posted something earlier but it didn't post for some reason. Anyways, this was part of a 3 or more part series with Zeke the flavor freak. The 80s song "I Want Candy" seems to have been based off of this tune.
"Zeke" rings a bell, thanks for the info. The "I Want Candy" popular in the 80's was a cover by Bow Wow Wow, the orignal was by The Strangeloves, released in 1965. I agree it sounds similar though. It's not you...The song "Willie & the Hand Jive" was done in what was called the Bo Didley beat. The commercial borrowed its melody from Bo Diddley's song "Bo Diddley" -- check it out on YouTube
Thanks Lectronimo, it's one of my favs! I'm kind of bummed about how the vid quality turned out, but it's the best I've been able to find after having a far worse copy for years. Just like you I seem to remember vaguely, but I also would have been very young. Also I'm not certain it's 1973.

I can BARELY remember Life Savers gum. It wasn't that bad based on my recollection. Wonder why they quit making it?

I remember this fun commercial from my Saturday Morning youth. :) And I think it had an alternate ending where they introduced Life Savers lollipops.
