  • So upbeat and Johnny does it so well..

  • quanto mais ouço Johnny Mathis, mais tenho certeza de que nasci errado...na época e no lugar. kkkkkkk

  • even his speaking voice is pretty

  • Saw him live at the Latin Casino. Had every single album he ever recorded. He is still performing and recording. No one on earth could ever sing Maria like him. A rare talent

    and voice.

  • I first heard Johnny mathis when I was 13-14 years old. I was a budding singer, but after I heard him, I gave up singing because I knew God had already given the perfect voice to Johnny Mathis, but I still listen to him and hum along. He is one of the gretest singers America, the world, has ever produced. He has never made a bad record. He had better range than, Sinatra, Martin, Bennett, and Davis. He was and is in a class by himself. A truly great artist!

  • flawless of course totally grand through out his long wonderful and amazing career - the last of his kind - we love you johnny

  • The greatest male singer of all time. He even brings tears to my eyes!

  • @WESTON147 : I agree 100% - his is truly the greatest voice of all time. There is NO singer anywhere who can beat him.

  • love it , yhanks for sharing

    Sammy

  • I too have his LPs since 1959. Even this performance gives me goose pimples. What an orchestration! Maybe his friendship with Miles guides his choice of musicians and arrangements. I left a lot of space on my LP/CD/DVD shelf for his contributions to my happiness!

  • @hommefriday

    I have allllllllllll LP's

  • It was 1959 and I was in the Navy, stationed overseas, when I bought my first Johnny Mathis album. I had heard him sing for the first time a short time before and was quite impressed. After listening to the album (I believe it was his first.) for about the tenth time, Johnny Mathis became one of my 3 favorite male singers. His voice is pure magic. Velvet tones and an incredibly romantic sound. It does not get any better. And dancing to a Mathis song is a piece of heaven.

  • His music transports you to another world, to paradise. He is truly incomparable, inimitable! He is loved and adored by people from all walks of life and from one generation to another. He makes a drab song so beautiful and pleasant to the ears! What a performance!

  • @alpha3327

Who are the other 2 ????

  • I think I have every recording he has ever made! I love him. You never hear any bad press about him. His life is very private. Keep singing Johnny.....I'll always listen!!

  • Was this from his Edmonton Concert??

JM is one of the Top 3 male 'pop' vocalists of the entire 20th Century.

    Period.!!

  • This guy is nothing less than superb in all he has sung over the years.

  • Johnny is not only the greatest voice of our time he is such a gentle and humble guy. Watched him on a live, call in show and you get a true glimpse of his character. I was so impressed. Keep singing Johnny. I love you.! Thanks for posting ! Appreciate It!

  • have heard Johnny sing this in person many times and each time he sounds better than the time before. He has always been my all time favorite singer and still sounds great.

  • I've got Johnny's "Day In Day Out." He did a great job on it, I've listened to it often. But I love what he's done with the classic "Begin the Beguine." He puts so much energy into it. Thanks for sharing.
