  • My first day of school at Anacostia back in 1994, someone was shot right outside of the school. I was terrified! My first day of school was suppose to be a the start of my future, instead it was someone's last...RIP Devin, for you are in a far better place than those that still remain...

  • Rest In Peace Charles!...Miss You Like Shit

  • Didn't know the young brother, but R.I.P.. And as for Ms. Fowlkes, keep ya head up and stay strong. I know it took a lot out of you to do that interview. DC streets, wake up. We gotta stop this bullshit out here, shit's not a game.

  • R.I.P Devin Fowlkes!!

  • i applaud your efforts and that of folks who engage the young to take heed of the transformations happening around them. stay byg.

  • Thank you all for your comments, we work with young people to develop their skills in media and technology, at the same time we want them to use their new skills in serving their community and creating a discussion, maybe, maybe, we will become motivated to do something about it, I heard some comments that were powerful. We would love to bring this entire video to your community and begin a discussion and form action groups around it. thank you again....LD from MMTI, President

  • Basically things like this comes from poverty, drugs, and poor schoolings. In majority of black communities there is a lack of opportunity for jobs. This has been in our history for years. When there is a lack of jobs there is a lack of money wich leads to the selling of drugs, and or weapons. there is only a small percentage of bad people in bad neighbohoods, but if there is no one helping you start to feel discouraged.

    Yall stay safe out there.

    Peace and love.

  • Aww I had never seen this before. Devin took my class at Anacostia, he was a great and funny guy I'm so sorry this happned to him...R.I.P Devin.

  • Kids these days are primarily just about sex, drugs and violence. Most kids these days are mere drones of an immoral mass culture that encourages this type of behavior; those who do not obey tend to be singled out, criticized and excluded.

  • May be your too much in the state..go to somewhere else like Sudan, Iraq or Malaysia and see if these kids are what you said!!

  • I think it's the same world wide. The only foundation these principles are built on is basically SIN. Greed, Envy, Jealousy, Selfishness. It's the same principles that motivates genocide, rebellion, riots, etc. Theres no LOVE, in ANY of these things.

  • why is it that all my friends say that dc isnt bad or its nothing but a rich city i just dont understand why that r so stupid

  • To the person saying blacks destroy every city, for your info, whites kill each other more than blacks in this country. They just report black on black crime more. Not saying there int a problem, but white america loves to under report statistics when it comes to whites.

  • Tell that to the murderers.

  • yea man..maybe you should considering that most these black people are poor and you all people were neglecting them in their time of needs..

  • So there we have it. He highlighted 2 major situations that EVERY PERSON goes through. "Poor" and "Neglection." So what do we do about these problems. These are both social and moral problems, so what do we do? We take ANY actions til these problems are first sorted Socially and Morally!

  • What I meant is "We CAN'T take ANY Actions."

  • y wud say that black ppl are poor... like your jus sayn that black ppl are poor and not all ppl... ur ancestors were poor.. i went to that school..im from washington dc.. i remember the day that that happend... it had nuthn to do with poor because believe it or not AFRICAN AMERICANS r alot more successful than whites....

  • ....we r always going to b looked at like a bad race because of society.. but if you look at the overall picture like really look deep into our history.. we were happy n out country.. we had riches and we had peace...and the white man hated to c that he hated to c sumbodi hav more than him so he decided to take it from us..

  • so he had to kidnapp us 2 do so and make us slaves because we did not believe n fightn until we came to america..we did nt have wars n africa..here n america ppl believe they hav to fight for wat they want..steal..and from then on we were subjected to thug life from slavery.. the white man was a thug first..but durin slavery we became angry..heart broken this is y we act more differently than whites..

  • this is how they want us 2 b..they want us to kill each other because its so many of us that they cant kill us all at once

  • Lol..I didn't mean all black ppl are poor is just a metafore. But what i'm sayin is that black ppl are blamed for their bad image society..th truth is...some whites(No Racism) yea..like you said..get pretty jealous for their success.

This is still goin on in ma' country. As you can see the minority of other races which aren't muslim are given the "Second Class Treatment". But fortunately this only happens in the west side^^ so yea ppl on the east are lucky..

  • they first light skin boy sounds educated

  • mate i AM youth violence

  • harsh questions towards the end there

  • D.C. = District of Queen Semiramus (columbia)

You need to ask yourself..WHO owns the media? WHO owns the police? WHO owns our politicians? WHO is pretending to be Jewish and IS NOT? WHO benefits from keeping blacks angry? Look up: David Icke - Freedom or Fascism on google video.

  • rest in peace man...

  • oh poor baby.may he r.i.p

  • Haha

  • In my opinion, all teenagers should be locked up in a maximum security prison until they turn 21 years old. Then we should beat them with sticks..just kidding!

  • U ARE A DUMBASS MAN

  • wow.. thast was movin

  • This was a very touching video, I am not black nor have I even been to the area but I thought it was a very good job from those two boys.

  • i killed your 2 boyz

  • GO TO HELL

  • Oh my goodness that is so sad cryin here. Very moving video great job.

  • Very Good Job young Men. I am very proud of you. Growing up in Anacostia was hard for my family so I know first hand that we need more serious young folks to get involved in changing the Game. We do not have to lose our young people prison, Black on Black street violence or Drugs. God Bless you!!! KEEP it UP!!
