This is actually a very good cover of what is, in my opinion, clearly one of Lennon's most incredible songs. With this type of song, t's good to stay more true to it in a cover, and not to change it too much (for example, Roxy Music's cover of "Jealous Guy" is way too upbeat to capture the true meaning of the lyrics). Kudos to Aslan! (named after the famed lion from the Chronicles of Narnia?)

Hate to break it to everyone who likes ASLAN, but this song is almost exactly like the original, and the singer has used Auto-Tune to distort his voice so it sounds better.
@ZyIHW: I'm a Beatles/Lennon fan and I thought this was a lot different from the original. The pace/tempo and the overall digital sound quality in comparisson to the analogue recording of the past. Also, Dignam has a distict voice and fans of Aslan will recognise it straight away. Aslan have a lot of young fans too, and this is a great way to be introduced to Lennons work.
In regards to the auto-tuning remark. Well, one only has to hear Dignam sing live to know that he doesn't need to use it.

This is a brilliant version of this song. Works great live, thats when Aslan are in there Element! Cracker of a gig at Puck Fair, I was in the front row, waited around for 3 and a half hours for that. I had the Dublin flag with the logo on it. Aslan are one of the best lives band ever!

Well John The High King has managed to offend every Aslan fan that has read his comments. I think having gone in and looked at his account, its safe to say that Johns video making skills are no better than the director of this videos. Not even a ten year old would bother filming the juvenile behaviour displayed in your videos. As for us fans not being smart, I have a Degree. I dont wear ONeills tracksuits or rugby jerseys. Actually, i think they are releasing covers and a cover album because the fans of aslan, one of which you clearly aren't, wanted them to.
And i'm sure if you got the chance to be doing what they are doing, you'd try and please your fans as best you could, which is what the album is.
All the fans picked the songs on the album, therefore aslan are quite smart in the way they are doing what they love.

I rather like the video and my reasons for like it is firstly I think the idea really goes with the song and its something alot of people can relate to also the 3 guys who made it did so on a budget of 27 euro!
