  • amazing pass starting :39

  • One word: Beast. He's great to use to in 2k8.

  • hes much better than jordan

  • @KEVIN31881 You are so dumb for that! He couldn't even win a championship by leading a team. He has no awards...ole dumbass! MJ has NBA records for the highest scoring avg, the most scoring titles, the most NBA Finals MVPs, and he was on 9 all NBA defensive teams. Clyde sucks compare to MJ.

  • one of my favorites of all times!!,and probably the most underrated player in history!

  • Tupac and Clyde Drexler in the same video. Can it get better?

  • It's like the number 22 says it all. One less than 23.

  • @IsaIbn1: so does that mean Kobe is better than MJ? I think not.

  • You can't get more posterized than that guy at 1:36. Man!!

  • the rockets saw that finger roll and said, "hey, lets get that guy!"

  • Clyde is a monster in 2k!

  • People seem to forget how good Clyde was. Jordan and Drexler were considered equals for much of their careers.

  • @TheShnag, er...not exactly. From Jordan's third season on you'd be really, really hard pressed to find someone who would have been willing to say Clyde and MJ were "equals." Really I'd even say from Jordan's first year, but he did have that really shorened second season, so I suppose for that brief window MJ's superiority wasn't quite clear. But after that, not a chance. I liked Drexler, a lot actually, but he really wasn't considered MJ's equal for any significant length of time.

  • @jdlund: Actually, in 91 and 92 some "media experts" hinted that Drexler might be approaching Jordan's level. This was because 1. Drexler was a high scoring SG who was also averaging 6+ assists and 6+ rebounds per game; 2. The Blazers were contenders and made it to the Finals before CHI did. 3. Clyde was a better 3pt shooter than MJ, and 4. The Blazers won three straight games at one point against CHI with Drexler in the lineup.

Then in Game 1 of the 92 Finals MJ put a stop to any such talk.

  • 0:17 First time I've ever seen that dunk, and in my opinion is the best dunk ive ever seen..

  • like mj without the endorsements

  • @FootballRob2010, sure that and less talent.

  • I ♥ Clyde

  • @Sentenza233: Clyde was a better passer and rebounder than Mike. If MJ was underrated as a passer, Clyde was seriously neglected. He was up there with Bird and Magic, but he played with great pgs in Porter and Strickland so he didn't get as many touches, plus he was in POR so noone cared. But anyone who coached or played with him will rave about his passing. However, even though he improved, Clyde was not even close to the shooter MJ was. He looked like an electrocuted frog when he shot it.

  • @Sentenza233 Huh? Come on he avereged more assist than Mike, His shooting percentage was better. He had it straight from college, he didn't have to work on it. Again he was never the player Mike was. No one will ever be , they never had the determination Mike had. But skill wise if not better , equal to Mike.. Skill wise I'm talking.

  • 2:48 he did not just dunk that!!!!

  • 70's style

  • gary payton very underrated theres like no mixes or highlights for him

  • The dunk on Chris Dudley at 1:14 is just plain vicious.

  • 1:33 looks like Clyde could fly out of the arena

  • i love how he kneels in the air and fully extend his arm. IMO that's his signature dunk. It looks so good.

  • @SchoolcraftReppin, not to b mean bro but I think u got it all wrong! Here's my opinion of the top ten! 1. Michael Jordan, 2. Kobe Bryant, 3. Wilt chamberlain, 4.Magic johnson, 5. Hakeem Olajuwon, 6. Bill Russell, 7. Julius Erving, 8. Larry Bird, 9. Maybe lebron 10. Shaquille O'neal that's my opinion! The guys I named hav innovated or done something special in da game of basketball.

  • who did he dunk on at 1:00 if someone can please tell me. that dunk is just not real

  • @StelioStelioStelio sean elliot

  • jordan was always one ahead of him hahah 23 > 22

  • did i just see white people on the court?

  • Uhhhh, the dream of Jordan and Drexler being wingmen on the Blazers.... so close.

  • His Airness and his hang time was only second to Michael Jordan! One of the most underrated players in the history.

  • Always in Mike's shadows, but I always rooted hard Glyde, remarkable skilles. Probably more skilled than Jordan , better passer , better shooter. But not a better player.

  • Damn, Imagine Drexler and Jordan on the same team? Could have happened.

  • Yeah it could've but Chicago didn't want anotha SG that was very similar to Jordan. Even if they were on the same team it wouldn't have worked because they would've had a hard time figurin out who was goin to be the main guy. Also, one of them would've had to make some sacrifices because of this. Havin these playas on different teams in their prime was a good thing but they probably could've played togetha later on in their careers. Drexler probably would've been like the Sixth Man or somethin.

  • @najeenixonnixon I was actually talking about them together on the Blazers. They could have drafted Jordan 2nd overall instead of Sam Bowie.

  • Oh, I forgot that Portland could've had Jordan. My mistake. But you see what I mean, right? Puttin Clyde and Jordan on the same team is like puttin LeBron and Kobe togetha.

  • @najeenixonnixon He was referring to both of them on the Blazers, not the Bulls. Portland is who had the chance at both players, not Chicago. Blazers drafted Drexler in '83, passed on Jordan in '84 because they needed a big man. You've got it flipped around. PORTLAND is who didn't need MJ since they already had Drexler, not vice versa.

  • Clyde drexlers my cousin

  • music doesn,t fit ..it,s like bill cosby video with tupac

  • 2pac and clyde...great mix

  • jordan was better

  • @bikeride4lyf OBVIOUSLY, idiot.

  • Clyde was the peerless shooring guard in the NBA in the late 80s and early 90s,

  • Clyde dunks like lebron james and dr.j fused

  • i like that he easily did the jordan ft line dunk in the game several times....... never understood the love affair with MJ

  • @DeliciousPoop really? watch Jordan to the Max or The Ultimate Jordan collection to get an idea what the love affair is all about. I mean cmon now. My favorite player is Drexler...but even I know the truth.

  • Clyde was amazing!

  • that finger roll at 2:03 is beastly!!

  • AT 1:37 THATS THE GLYDE DUNK

  • @187187p1

    shit was sick!!

  • CLYDE DREXLER USE TO LOOK LIKE HE WAS FLYING THROW AIR LOL LOL THATS WHY HE CALLED THE GLYDE MAN

  • @footballfullback he went as a blazer

  • 2:02. OMG that is one of the sickest shot I've ever seen. We still love Clyde in Portland. Probably The best shooting guard behind Jordan in the 80's 90's.

  • the dunk at 1:34 looked like more air than jordan!!

  • Worse music are you a fucking moron this songs tight as hell 2pac kills it and cldye does 2

  • Great highlight clip, too bad it had to be set to the worst music ever.

  • Back when the NBA WAS AMAZING, It's only getting better, Hopefully

  • I didn't see him since the 90's. I have the same chills, God how did he do all that?

  • 0:18 & 1:57 are amazing.

  • He floats

  • the dunk tarting at 2:50 is to ill!!!!

  • when clyde dunks players watch . . .

  • maybe not

  • more hops than mj

  • @paulc43 shittin me.

  • You can win a spot on Clyde Drexler's basketball clinic (deadline is March 30). Link: (j.mp/DrexlerClinic)

  • So very quick. Lot's of hang time. Slam's with style. Smooth. Class. Soft spoken. WAY underrated. Great vid, and Tupac laying down the groove-5 star's!

  • 2:05 left handed wow

  • Theres pretty much way better players, but if i was starting a fantasy team, id take this dude first because I like his style more then anybody else. I forgot how good this dude was. He plays like no one else. Has his own thing goin on

  • Drexler + Olajuwon = FTW!! *2nd only to Pippen and Jordan =)

  • wade is the 3rd best SG Ever my ass!!! drexler would smash wade. GO heat 2011 nba champs!!!! woot woot! lol

  • seriously? 2:04? Magic.

  • legend

  • 1;38 best dunk ever

  • @wilzusuki: agreed....takes off at 1:34. amazing.

  • He can still dunk too!!

  • I met Clyde at a photoshoot in London on wednesday. He is one of the nicest guys I've ever met. He is so modest about what he's achieved even though he's one of the all time greats. I asked him a few big questions as well. He said Kobe is better than Lebron ,D Wade is the best current NBA player Celtics will win the finals , wilt the stilt is the greatest of all time and deron Williams is the best current pointguard!

  • @BringOnTheCheese drose is the best point what are you talking about

  • does anybody know the song by 2pac

  • @trackz09 troublesome '96

  • one of the most underrated players of all time.

  • no ques about it. he's one of the great nba players that never really gets alot of mention these days. until watchin this vid now i even kinda forgot about him, but man he was great and he's also one of the best in game dunkers iv ever seen

  • Clyde Drexlers elegance with the ball along with his dunks where always one of a kind..

  • He was the best to me, thanks for the video man.

  • That was the nasties finger roll!! Roll Em' Up!! Even though you retired with that team

  • at 2:48 was the greatest glyde dunk i have ever seen

  • At 1:32 looks like he double jumps

  • 2:38 dunk the ball hits him in the dome hahahahha

  • the 90s were the goldan age for the nba, they would school the likes of lebron all day and all night

  • @nickgeorgiou13 thank you !

  • not only one of the great player in NBA history but a gentleman too

  • 1:32 one of best dunks ever alongside with some Erving's dunks.

  • I think that Clyde Drexler and Gary Payton are two of the more underrated players of the 90s, just because they played their prime years up here in the Northwest.

If you watched them there's no doubt they both are all-time players, but I've heard them both belittled by the mainstream sports media (read ESPN).

  • I still remember Clyde. Even in his last years, his dunks were spectacular. Underrated player.

  • That was a sexy finger roll!

  • oh my god, his vertical is so incredible he can finger roll it above people's heads and swish it through...

  • Right behind the G.O.A.T. when was in his prime

  • Clyde had a finesse that will never be repeated. And, the man could definitely Finger-Roll!

  • Song?

  • @SuZyKou 2pac troublesome. 96

  • some of these highlights are absolutely incredible. wow. this guy was good.

  • His most clutch shot 0:19

    Posterization 0:59

    Pimp cut move 1:02

Clyde was a pimp because he dunked from the line during the games too.

    1:32

  • don´t make players like this

  • @marcelo010986

I said that 2 seconds before I saw your comment.. LOL.

  • Wow. His plays looks a lot with Jordan´s . Drexler looks even better at grabling the ball high but seens to have 8 inches less jump than Jordan

  • shame always would be shadowed by jordan.. still greatest

  • Phi Slamma Jamma...

  • dunk at .19 sec is too much for life.

  • he's so smooth!

  • He reminds me a lot of Lebron James.

  • 2:50 did he hit his head on the backboard?

  • Clyde > Kobe

  • @Iwishihadatvr definitely;)

  • 2:40 yams it right into his face haha

  • Drexler>Jordan

  • Definitely 1 of the best all around & athletic players that I've ever seen & he let his playing do his talking because he was never surprised by any great play he made because he was that great. He had a quiet cool to his game.

  • Compilation good. Music mediocre at best.

  • If Clyde ever got the treatment from the league Michael got Clyde would be Michael, they had almost the same skillset, MJ had a slightly better jumpshot but not much

  • @CelphProclaimed I love Clyde, but he is below Mike. Hops are almost equal but Mike had him on quickness and body control

  • WOW, 3 minutes and 12 seconds of total domination.

  • @ 2:40 - GET SOME OF THAT, CARTWRIGHT.

  • so so sick hes like mike

  • I can't believe only four people didn't like it. What's wrong with you guys? Unless, you like it cause of the song; and that's the case I agree with you then.

  • none of theses kids today can fly like the old glide could he honestly had more air than jordan

  • the 50 year old rapper is here.

    numb city records.

  • 1. MJ

    2. Jerry

    3. Clyde

  • le meilleur joueur de tout les temps, une detente de 1m11, personne ne fais mieux

  • le meilleur joueur de tout les temps

  • whats this song name?

  • clyde is the best ever, he could shoot too!

  • 2:39 in ur face

  • For all you young kids out there, there's only 2 players in today's NBA I think are better than Drexler was; Lebron and Kobe. That's it.

  • @cubsfan4life33

i think that maybe kobe is best (and only maybe)

    but Lebron no way!

  • Glad Clyde got his ring. He was a beast.

  • @kanyepest1 2PAC-TROBELSOME 96

  • u can say is tupac cause its great

  • wat song is this

  • nice vid...

    lovin the music.

  • sooo dirty

  • I forgot how raw Drexler was. SMH.

  • love this vid....good choice of song

  • THANK GOD he wound up getting a ring with Houston. Best thing that could've ever happened to a player of his caliber...

    ;-)

  • @PeekaPeep I agree, but as a native Portlander it would've been better in '92.

  • '91 actually. Lakers got REALLY lucky against them in the Conference Finals. Besides, I felt that particular squad matched up better with the Bulls that season as opposed to the following one.

  • PeekaPeep....if they had Sabonis before his injuries, I think they'd have won a title at some point during that era.

  • the reason the FAKERS won in 2000 against the Blazers was b.cuz of phantom calls on Sabonis so Shaq can score easy points

  • @bigsteve0999 wasn't fakin with the 3peat

  • @bigsteve0999 since when have free throws been easy points for shaq?......... he has nightmares about the FT line

  • @DeliciousPoop where do you see the words free throws in the sentence? bullshit fouls were being called on Sabonis so he can get outta the game and shaq can dominate

  • @bigsteve0999 haha u just made the lakers outplayed weak ass blazers

  • nice video man!! Clyde, the best player ever, 22

  • One of the greatest players to ever touch a basketball. Nice video.

  • Comment removed

  • the classic NBA real player, elegant, nice video ¡¡¡ congratulations ... Glyyyyyyde Drexlerrrrr ¡¡¡

  • 2:55...one of the most beautiful alley-oops i've ever seen.

  • Shouldn't this video feature music from the late 80s/early 90s? I'm no expert in hip-hop but this sounds like it was recorded after Drexler retired.

  • The song is called "Troublesome '96," so that means it was probably released in 1996, two years before he retired. Hip hop (2Pac, no less) doesn't work in a video like this, however.

  • @MizNelson dead wrong son

  • 2:00 is the best

  • After all these years, why do people continue to spell "Glide" with a "Y"? It's annoying.

  • It's a play on letters with his name. Because his name is spelling with a Y.

  • Responsible for the highlights of my childhood in Portland!!!

  • Even during his latter years with the rockets...He could still fly...

  • ma i fukd yo bitch

  • "he personaly was not part of that RAP GENERATION."

Well, have you ever seen a movie called "Space Jam?" That movie had some of the most popular rap music stars of all time tributing their music to him. As a matter of fact, that's when "rap bastards" really started to imitate Jordan's style of play and his style of clothing.

Even before that, MJ did a music video with Michael Jackson called "Jam" which really emphasized that basketball, is a culturally hip hop oriented sport. Peace.

  • oNE OF THE BEST OF nba history

  • this music is just not for drexler... just not fit in this video... DREXLER was another school... old school... better than this crap today... I see all around just some rap basketball "players", they ruined basketball, ask anyone from drexler generation... they will tell you the same... CLYDE THE LEGEND

  • PETRO,

It was actually Michael Jordan who revolutionized the "rap syle" of basketball we see today.

From, baggy shorts, shoes, dunks, music, even the jump shots, and even the players swagger today are the way they are because of Michael Jordan's influence on the game. God Bless you.

  • 22IQ, God bless you too, but I dont agree with you :) How can jordan's fade aways and other jump shoot create rap basketball player? maybe he had some influence, but MICHAEL JORDAN personaly, was not rap generation player (THANK GOD FOR THAT), Kobe, Iverson etc, were first who brought that SHIT to NBA. Greetings

  • Petro,

You dumb bastard, lol, if there was no Jordan, there would be no, what you call a "rap generation player."

People would still be dribbling the ball like John Stockton (one of my all time favorites), wearing their shorts like him and even shooting like him (Heaven forbid).

Without Jordan, how many "rap generation" basketball players would we have today? None because Jordan alone, was responsible for inspiring and blending basketball into the hip hop culture.

    God Bless you

  • I agreed with you that JORDAN MAY had some influence for creating those "rap bastards" lol but he personaly was not part of that RAP GENERATION. and one more thing: HIP HOP NBA CULTURE almost DESTROYED NBA... ALMOST! just remember years Jordan left, and expecially years after Laker dinasty 200
