I've come to like those presets, more than the traditional 3 band EQ. I tend to use "1" live with "2" for solos, which has more sustain and gain.. "3" is nice for recording, very rich, but might be unusable live. "4" has very nice attack for fast solo licks, but I haven't get to use Jazz much yet. With a 3 band EQ it is just impossible to switch sounds so fast live, and 3 bands are not enough. You need an EQ pedal, in case you want to fiddle with it.
I have the 4S300N14CE which is a nylon-strung version of this guitar - a superb hybrid sound somewhere between classical and traditional acoustic. As with all their 'Seasons' range, LAG have now discontinued them in favour of the Tramontane range.
I also bought the superb LAG Summer 4S200PE parlour guitar which is a little gem and was a really affordable instrument .... now also discontinued !!! (Didn't like the 5-preset electro Lag Studio though)
Mate, a good call indeed if you did, I got one last year and it has become my main guitar, I love it. The new models have limited options EQ wise so be sure to look for that, other than that, go for it :)
Hello : ) I don't know if I should buy the Lag 100 BCE , or the DCE , which is a Dreadnought :s Can you fill me in with the differences between them ? :/ Thanks a lot :D
@GustavoSampaioLP I got the DCE, although I first wanted the BCE. I think they both sound very good, the dreadnought sound more western and is good for strumming, the bce is handier and an alrounder. It's a matter of taste, they are both great guitars.
