  • LOVE IT!

  • Best version. Hands down.

  • Nice upload - the original of this standard I think - or the one that put it on the map anyway.

  • I used to listen to this on an old victrola when i was 13 back in 1997. It never gets old....

  • People here probably won't like this but I hope this ends up in the next fallout game because this is a song my generation needs to hear.

  • @TheMostlyNeutralMan i agree, i especially like the platters version

  • Recorded on November 9, 1947, and originally released on {American} Columbia 38301.

  • Wow, super rendition! Why isn't Gloria Wood better known? Really a splendid, sexy voice!

  • Fantastic I can remember playing this the day it was released. I was in my parents maisonette at 130A North View Road, Hornsey, Longon. N8. U.K. I had just come out of the boy's service of the Royal Navy.

  • Some of you young'uns might notice that the Numark TTX (one of the rapper's favorite turntables) in this vid is also equipped -- in this day and age? -- to play 78rpm records. Just press the 33 and 45 buttons simultaneously. "Golly gee, Martha...land's sakes alive...but what a wonderful world of technology we're now living in...

  • Two "T"s in "Babbitt...."

  • thanks to fallout im down with KK (Kay Kyser)

  • I love the Kay Kaiser orchestra and the voice of Harry Babbit.

  • @garygadjet and Ginny Sims, both far under rated. The original version is still the best..

  • @valleytownonly3 that's Ginny Simms with two "m"s

  • As much as I would love to see this style of music come back, our musical artists nowadays would probably ruin it for everyone.
