he's rocking the soul into that gibson.. some people use to rock the soul out of it.. anyhow Mick rogers is still the king next to gilmour.. those are so to speak the gibson gurus.. no one can mesure to them except Les paul himself and he past away 2005 thought,.. and mick rogers has change from hi's les paul 1956 to a shitty stratt.. so the only one that remains is David Gilmour that manage to play les paul as to be played.. this guy is still close to perfection, but not impeccable

what sound-"mic" do you got on that Gibson? never seen before i mean the string reciever? do you say that? im from sweden and my english is abit rusty.., that close to the stable.. use to be silver or gold, never seen blank.. nor without "dott's" is that some new stuff? to attach.. seemse like that gibson is a good old les paul therefore i ask.. :)

@666dekadance666 Those are called pickups. There's no adjustable magnets coming out of the cover because these are EMG active pickups. They're active, so they are extremely underwound and then have a battery powered preamp to make them high output. They're used almost exclusively for metal because of the high output, but people use them for all kinds of music. And for the record, this is an Epiphone not a Gibson

@Glockenator Those pickpups he used are EMGHZ, the stock stuff that comes on the Epiphone ZW model since 2005 lol, unless they are tricking us, the EMG 81 and 85 is the one he uses on his gibson and it's only written EMG in golden and silver color.

you guys need to think first that most of the tone you ear is from the amp (that is probably amazing) and probably some pedals, the pickups are very important as well the guitar is important but when you play well any guitar sounds great, you just need a good amp.

I find it crazy that he's not even playing his own guitar. Like, yeah, it's his signature guitar and everything.. But not only is it just an Epiphone version (I own the exact same guitar), but he just went to Jam Track Centrals place, picked up this guitar that one of their guys had laying around, and did all these videos on it. Shows true skill.
