So, after a long while of avoiding atomics, I finally learned it. Just popped over here to check out my "Is this what that move looks like" resource as I don't often get to hang with other good spinners. Doing the forward atomic, with right hand on horizontal duty, I noticed I spin my right poi opposite from all other videos I've seen. Since I haven't gotten it the "normal" way yet, I'm wondering if you think one way looks better than the other, or if you've ever seen it the other way? ^_^
Hey drex! Since I like your new definition of hybrids so much, but I also like the concept of antibrids (I was there when the term was conceived) I have begun integrating the antibrid concept by continuing to use it as a way of describing those hybrid patterns where one hand follows the opposite poi head. Any thoughts since your new hybrid post?
i love how most people who get "Bored" with regular planes, switch to hybrid, but half the time their regular planes arent even in sync, nor are they straight, nice job expanding knowledge in poi understanding, but master what u have learned first, do not overwhelm with newer moves. its supposed to look good not be all over the place and sloppy.
A couple months ago it was unthinkable to me that I could do an atomic weave at all, so the fact that I can do one now, even a sloppy one, is something I'm very proud of. I'm terribly sorry if that offends you.
Over the course of the next few months I'll be working at cleaning it up and making the planes better-defined and thankfully I now have this blog to look back on and review the progress I've made. In the meantime, feel free to post your own video and show me how it's supposed to be done.
