  • wait we went back andd it didnt start by itself lol sorry nevermind :]

  • Thanks for taking your time to post these videos on youtube. We will be trying these tips. I hope we become big one day! Also we have a question.

on your channel we noticed your video starts automatically. how do youu do that?

  • Thanks. All YT videos start automatically I thought. Maybe it's in your settings. I dunno.

  • your welcome :]

andd yeah sometimes its just slow andd doesnt start

  • That probably because you have "high quality" video turn on. YT has problems with high some quality videos.

  • most likey lol.

we were wondering if youu might be able to check out some of our videos. We likee when people give us constructive criticism andd what better person to get it from thenn someone who has been so successful on YT?

  • its b/c ur apartner

  • Not me. I'm not partner and likely will never be one. :)

  • i think you forgot one thing.'''YOU HAVE TO TALK IN ENGLISH''ESTI D'AMERICAIN SALE!

  • That's good point. By far the largest audience on YT is English speaking.

  • Thank you for posting these videos. Im presently creating videos about meditation, self realization, developing peace and many dealing with religious and philosophical questions Ive found on you tube. As a Holistic Practitioner and teacher of meditation, I am excited about the prospect of sharing what I've experienced on Youtube. Your information was greatly appreciated and it sounds like we are working in the same area - exciting. I look forward to sharing some interesting discussions with you.

  • Thanks for all your help!

  • Wow, thank you so much for these tutorials! I've only been on here for 3 months, and after watching these I'm surprised I even have as many subscribers as I have! ;) I'm gonna start to use some of these tips for sure. Thank you again for taking out the time to do this!

  • Is this the last tutorial? Because I really need to make my videos better!

I'm going to check out some of these programmes now :)

  • you look like that guy from the "Super Size Me" documentary. Thanks for the tips.

  • Your Yellow.

    :)

  • Thanks for the tips :)

  • If I want to make a video monochromatic, make everything blue, for example, how do I do that with Windows Movie Maker?

How do I avoid showing my face (because I plan on dealing with oontrovercial subjects like cults) but still show there is a human in from on the camera?

  • I don't know of a way to tint a grayscale or monochromatic video using windows movie maker. There might be a user created plug-in that does the trick.

Well you can simply blur the video image using the video effects option. The more blur added the more blurrier the result.

  • Thank you. I'll look up free plug ins and ask around. As for not showing my face, I was looking for more creative ways than just to blur, but blurring it would work fine for vlog entries or video responses. Thanks for your input.

  • Thank you for the links to those tutorials and custom movie maker files! They really helped.

  • omg, you know where the description box is, lol. w00t, voice-overs... I had no idea... you learn something new everyday...

  • Of course the new beta page layout moves the description section to below the video. grrr. :)

  • damn...haha, I hate the beta page thing... too weird

  • Thanks a lot John!! This is good stuff (since I'm sort of a noob :P). As I'm a little stuborn I am not willing to do a script, but I did change my lighting, made my intro copyright-free and found some cool add-ons for my moviemaker.

Thanks for putting in the time and effords :D

    Gloomy Girl

  • Cool. Good to hear.

  • dude thank you su much, ive been looking all over to figure out this split screen. i thought maybe people had high tech software and not WMM..thanks!

  • i am an expert and windows movie maker (if i may say myself ;P)

but now i got the new mac book and i know how 2 use it but not perfectlly :S

    an u help me?

  • Did you watch the iMovie tutorial in the video's description section?

  • nope i jut saw ip :P

i thought all the links were programs so i'll watch it now

    thnx alot

  • Thanks! Umm... if I could ask for help, I've downloaded the split thing into my videos, but how do I get it to show up in Movie Maker? Thanks again!

  • Read the comments below in that tutorial video. All of them. They explain it.

  • It doesn't let me create a new folder. It says access denied. So idk I guess I need to do some to do some more research =/ hahaha

  • Are you running Windows Vista?

  • Nope Windows Movie Maker

  • No No! :) Windows Vista the operating system! Not a program!

  • Oh haha well i dont think that i am since i have no idea what that is lol

  • When you start your cpu, does it say Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Vista.

  • Windows XP hahaha wow i really had no idea whati was talking about! haha

  • I've watched all the episodes and I think theyve really helped me, thanks!

  • You're welcome!

  • sweet advice. thanks man

  • Now I expect double the number of videos from you from now on, Haley. And they have to be as good as your last ones. :p

  • As usual, very informative, Jon! I learned that voiceover trick from your comment-reply in one of your previous vids. Also, as I'm using a digital camera, not a movie camera, I use Movie Maker to punch up/increase my audio just a bit. Good work!

  • Looking good, Jon. Thanks for the tips.

The split screen effect is great! Now even those of us with no friends cab "vlog with a friend."

  • awesome john, thanks! i thought i was missing something, but i finally found movie maker on my computer!

  • I hope then we'll see more HeatherLW videos in the near future? :)

  • Good video. My biggest problem in the world is lighting. My house is dark by nature. I did buy a special high power lamp but sometimes it is a pain to hook up. Good video.

  • That's why recommend using a bright adjustable desktop that can shine in your face while filming. This way it can simply be used as a computer desk lamp when not filming.

  • Great tips. Please continue with this series. I have pointed this series out to several people. Again thanks.

  • In regards to point 2.

Also, some webcams are just plain horrible.

My first webcam was truly dreadful. Despite good lighting and a various tweaks - it never wanted to record anythong above 20 frames, sometimes dropping to below 15.

  • Ya, you get what you pay for in the world of webcams it appears.

  • thanks for making this video series, im sure it helps alot of ppl =))

  • that series of videos is really helpfull. it's more of a general tutorial for making better videos and actually "being" on youtube, than just gain subscribers. that's really cool. thank you so much for providing the links, especially about the splitscreen. i googled a lot but didn't find anything until now. so thanks to you and laurbubble^^

  • Sorry I missed the rest of your series. I've been in the hospital. I'll make sure to go back and get caught up. I'm relly glad you showed us how to get to the spilt screen. I've always wondered how to do that.

Have a great day filled with smiles!

    (((Hugs))) to you...

    Paula

  • Oh my gosh! You OK?

  • Thank you. I didn't even realize I had movie maker! I eventually figured out the youtube editor, then when I clicked "publish" it failed--some compatibility problem--I used only vids already on my channel and added only features that they supplied. Go figure. Thank you for offering the help you do, it seems to be the best way to learn youtube.

  • Guess I'm even the first person to watch this: Views: 0

Another great addition to your series! :) Good job, and good tips as usual.
