  • an all volunteer military hardly sounds socialist or facist.the federal reserve is owned by non govt entities, the new york stock exchange is not socialist.the banksters are not the govt ,many are forighn govt run and owned .thats not socialist.

  • govt did more far more to solve the health care problem then corporations have or will do.since 1776 what have corporations done to help real breathing people.be it slavery, public education, civil rights. i never saw no corporation in the military next to me.when vets came back who was it that helps with ptsd. yea the govt could of done better.u like corporations because they do no wrong? ...they do nothing at all .in fund raisers for help WHERE ARE THEY ? not even an asprin

  • are we gods people ? or are we only one,me,and neglect the village we live in.rugged individuals did not go west alone.wagon trains .communities built the barns and schools not individuals.

  • @stealhgerm007 That's a great theory, if we had a govt that spent wisely. If our bloated monsterous govt would tighten it's belt, they could focus the more of the money they already take from us towards the needy. Instead, they take from us, with big promises to needy, then find some other big govt way to blow the money that was supposed to go to a much better cause, then turn back to us with their hand out again, saying "don't you care about those in need"? YES, WE DO, WHERE'D THE MONEY GO?!

  • @NFriction big govt or big corporate .they both have miss spending.but when wwII was over it was the govt that gave g.i. education.when it came to helping europe after the war it was govt. i.b.m. and other companies did bussiness with hitler before, durring and after the war.katrina was a bad show for govt yea,but where were the corporations very very few oferd to help.govt isnt perfect ,democracy isnt perfect true but but id trust the us govt far far more then british petrolium ,i.b.m.

  • @stealhgerm007 Do you actually believe your tax dollars are being spent wisely and the govt deserves to be in control of more of your dollars? Really? I get that you think big business is evil and the govt is the super hero taking them on, but let me ask this: Do you think that unions are looking out only for the workers and there is no hint of massive corruption in their ranks and methods? Talking a good game about looking out for the lil guy is great, but their actions say allot more!

  • @NFriction i do not believe bussines is all evel.the purpose is to make a profit priority one.a corporation does not open the books to see how they spend it.govt is much more open and accountable.unions though not perfect did bring on child labor laws ,promote worker safety .8 hour days, paid overtime, one can get involved in the union .corporations do not invite participation.your input means squat to corps, there are no unions in somalia.or even china.remember enron ,aig ,the banks .no unions

  • @stealhgerm007 You're absolutely right! There are no unions in China, and let's see, who's about to become the next top world superpower? Who's not going broke becuase they don't go overboard with their entitlement programs, union expenses, pensions, etc? Who do we owe most of our debt to? Oh yeah, that's right, union-free China! And, we all know how well those multi-million dollar union golf courses the unions spent dues on benefit the common worker! They promote THEMSELVES above you and me!

  • @stealhgerm007 Do you not think that absorbing as much cash as possible is the unions' "priority one"? You have to be clever enough to see that. If the unions were so true to their cause, why did they throw a fit about a group of contractors not making a high enough wage, & instead of having those workers strike & not work for that "unacceptable" wage, they hire homeless people to picket & kept the contractors working for "underpay"? And how much did they pay the picketers?.........MINIMUM WAGE!

  • @NFriction i too see faults in unions but they are not the evil force u make them out to be.corporations have far far more money available to them then unions.with the corporations now seen as real people .its not david and goliath its one rock against an army of marines.who will pick up the rock? 7 day work week .work safety ,8 hour days, overtime .if not for unions it be a dollar a day.....just like china.oh oh yea jobs are sent there .co's bottom line=profit

    union's =u and i

  • @stealhgerm007 Unions do put on a good show & some people fall for it, & yes, they do SOME things solely for the good of the workers, but they do SO MUCH MORE than is nothing more than a power grab & enriching themselves, under the flag of looking out for every worker. There is alot of corruption in unions, whether anyone is willing to admit it or not. And when ALL Americans are forced to help pay for union garbage with our tax dollars, it's NOT "one rock against an army of marines",greed is greed

  • @stealhgerm007 Unions are simply power hungry, greedy masters of hypocrisy. If they were REALLY so concerned that nobody be treated "unfairly" in the work force, they wouldn't do back room deals in DC to work out special treatment and exemptions for their members that the rest of American workers don't enjoy. Sound "fair" to you? They don't seem to care that the non-union workers will have to help pay for the special deals for their members. Sound "fair" to you? How about influencing elections?

  • @stealhgerm007 If unions had their way, we'd be in the same shape as Greece! It doesn't matter how much unions acquire, they always want MORE. If you gave them everything they wanted today, they would have new demands tomorrow. If they go unchecked, before it's over, they'll have non-union workers simply sending checks straight to union non-workers,all in the name of "fairness"! If they could take care of union workers w/o penalizing non-union workers, I'd have no problem with them, but we all pay

  • where are gods people when a ins denies coverage.do gods people drop a few thousand bucks to help get the care??

  • @stealhgerm007 YES. I'm not a perfect man, by any means, but I know I'm one of God's children and I am where my friends have turned in their time of need. Call me a gullible for accepting any excuse for my help, but that's how I was raised, and with guidance from the Bible. I'm not sure where it went wrong in your life and those around you portrayed the teachings of Jesus as encouragement to turn your back on those in need, but I can guarantee you that's not the path I was taught to take.

  • @NFriction And, just so we're not reading each other wrong, I would be WAY happier if the majority of my tax dollars went to help those in need. However, the fed has got so damn bloated that we waste trillions of dollars on stupid crap, like $10k for a SINGLE SIGN that brags about a stimulous project being paid for by stimulous dollars! That $10k could have done significant things for people in need & the jobless! But hey, people need to be brainwashed to praise Obama. Priorities, man!

  • @NFriction where did i say i turn my back on people in need? i was taught we are all god's children .we as the body of christ [church] or call it community or dare i say village can help our brothers and sisters.my contribution in a collection plate is a pittance compared to what can be given as a village[govt] a few bucks in taxes can help in katrina, hati, apalacha,a bario of l.a. .educate ,feed children ,you and i are a community .love is more th denomination

  • @stealhgerm007 Bottom line: Charity is done by one's own free will. Mandated redistribution of wealth by the govt is socialism. If you truly care about the needy, then you'll have to agree that charity by individuals gets more bang for the buck than letting the feds handle it! When I do something charitable, the effectiveness of my hard-earned dollars is maximized for the cause. When the govt gets involved, the effectiveness of those hard-earned dollars is minimized! Which does more good?

  • @NFriction the bail out was paid by you and i .many many of the ones we bailed out HAVE NOT AND DO NOT PAY ANY TAXES.let companies pay thier share.im loyal american so r u .companies ARE PEOPLE TOO .but not american or loyal.my money is hard earned too i know that my taxes pay for much of the good life i have.dont like taxes move to somalia.no taxes no govt interference,

  • @NFriction i as a middle class american can give to charity .and so can you but i know there are discounts when food ,supplies, transportation is so so much cheaper when bought in bulk[whole sale]my dollars are hard earned too.yet you minimise my hard earned money if it goes to taxes.you do give to the eagle forum ,the cato institute or other right wing non profits huh? think real think taxes are used for our common good.i.e. highways, firedept, army, navy, schools .think when villages worked

  • President Obama lied. NM & PA are going to use taxpayer money.

  • And now we know. He IS funding abortions...NM and others WILL fund elective abortions. He is a LIAR.

  • abortion ? then dont get one.didnt god himself kill the first born of egypt ?infaticide is ok? burning witches in salem? so you call yourself prolife? leting a mother die to save a un born... bringing a unwanted child into life and then get no help in feeding or clothing it.where is the love in that.pro fetus not so hot on pro life .

  • @stealthgerm "then dont get one", ok, BUT I DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO HELP PAY FOR EVERYBODY ELSE THAT DOES WANT ONE! You must not be a taxpayer, if you don't think it affects you in any way. Do you have ANY clue how many millions have been found so far that will be going towards abortion? And before you smart off about an "unwanted child", I was adopted and if I had been aborted instead, since I was "unwanted", you'd have 1 less taxpayer to fund your socialist garbage! Grow a brain!

  • @NFriction i have no problem paying taxes.i never knew who my sperm father was.growing up my parents never once told me i had a step dad.that man was my dad.a very liberal man.a wwII vet.im a vet a very liberal vet.i wasnt raised to be a hatefull human. the garbage i was raised on was the example of christ.jesus told of socialist things .the good samaratin.the parable of the vinyard, please reread the bible .

  • @stealhgerm007 You may need to look up “socialism”. Jesus wasn’t preaching that you should take from someone else to give to those in need, he was preaching that you should voluntarily give of yourself, by your own choosing. “The good samaratin” was not forced by the government to do what he did. Socialism is the government TAKING from you to give to others as THEY see fit. That is “socialism”. The Bible promotes CHARITY, which is quite different.

  • @NFriction quite different? the church also taxes us.it may be seen a a donation in the plate .the way the money may or not be used as i would like as well but it to is socialism .i see no harm in taxes going to cloth the poor feed the hungry.cloth the naked.works of charity are done.we are not a nation of selfishness ... or are we? hati needs help it gets help from both govt and non govt.prayers and a a dollar gets a dollars worth of help.

  • @stealhgerm007 Yes, quite different. I donate of my own free will in church and to worldwide need. Yes, you may think that because I'm a "republican capitalist", I'm greedy as hell. However, I'm known as one of the most generous people my friends know. I'm the one turned to when they need help, because I can't tell them "no" when they're asking for help. I have donated to multiple non-US disasters, but I chose to do so on my own. That's the way it should be. You volunteered to serve & thank you!

  • @NFriction abortion is legal .bush had 8 years to make then illigal.he and cronies did nothing.wonder why? so one issue wingnuts would vote republican.republicans protest so loud about abortions but do nothing . yes im a taxpayer 8 years of lower taxes and big companies only ship jobs overseas ,enron didnt pay fair share .its clear enron didnt give a shit about people.please please look up the word socialist.i hardly call nyse, the federal reserve, chamber of commerce,... socialist.

  • It strikes me as the height of hypocrisy that a man who has been spreading the most hateful lies imaginable about gay and lesbian Americans would dare accuse anyone of bearing false witness.

    Glass houses.

  • healthcare reform is abortions, illegal aliens and death panels... proof? obamatronsdotblogspotdotcom

  • wow, this guy out and out is lying about what is in the bill. Why did he have to splice together two clips one form obama and one from hillary to make his point? WHy couldn't he just point to the language in the bill that provides abortions? Cuz its not in there and this guy is a charlatan just like ted haggard.

  • @jimmydore Tell us again who "out and out is lying", since you seem to think you know what is and isn't in the bill. Kinda funny we now find out that abortion funding IS IN THE BILL. So far, it has been found that $160 million is going to Pennsylvania and $85 million to Maryland. New Mexico was going to get some, but backed out. Tell us again who the "charlatan" is, smart guy!

  • come up with better arguments guys. Groups like the FRC are a bunch of rich guys who want to give out contradicting opinions of what they stand for. This video was all over the place when it came to the main point, I bet if it was written down 99% of Americans won't get it. They either need to fire their script writer or stop arguing. And what's up with the bible quote, stop blending church and politics. I doubt you would want a Muslim saying quotes from the qur'an, no matter how similar it is.

  • @tlutmtube "what's up with the bible quote, stop blending church and politics", uh, are you directing that comment at this guy, or at Obama, who accused people that claimed this would fund abortions of "bearing false witness"? Got any idea where "bear false witness" comes from? Uh oh, yep, the 10 commandments and the Bible! Whoops, didn't you say something about "contradicting opinions"? It's OK for Obama to quote scripture, but not anyone else? What kinda BS is that?!

  • Obama is evil, and evil will not persevere. His direction will be stopped, reveresed, and Americans will once again be on the right road. Yes, because we are human, we'll never get it just right, but we can never forget what is right, and what is wrong.

  • Don't you just love how

Smartassawhip watched the video, heard the direct (again DIRECT) quotes from the goverment officials, and ignores them....

a man with an argument is not at the mercy of a man with experience. We have them, on tape, saying that this bill will make me pay for abortions...

moral issues aside, there are 4,000 abortions per day, at the cost of $300. ergo thats $1,200,000 per day....

    yah....

no I don't want to pay that......

  • Go go abortion!

  • Why do Republicans still think they are relevant?

  • bbg5000 <- monitors Obama's Snitch Line.

  • Why is it that some of our "leaders" seem more concerned about the unborn than they do the living? Abortion will not be covered although it is now covered by almost every private insurance company. You already pay for it with your sky high premiums.

If you are still confused about the health care bill you may find the information on my profile in the comment section helpful. Also included are ways in which you can get more involved including phone #'s, petitions etc..

  • I hope old woman on Medicare can get abortions!!! :P

  • You two...get a room!!!

  • Leave Jesus out of the healthcare reform debate. What could be more irrelevant than the words of a guy from the middle east who lived more than 2000 years ago. Words that have been altered by monks and priest during the European Dark Age. Get Real!

  • Yea, cause Jesus didn't do anything for the sick? It wasn't Jesus who cured lepers and the blind, it was some other dude. Maybe Chistants should act more Christ like in there poltics and start asking them self "what would Jesus do if had ran the country?" Could it be that he would help the poor and needy? Or would Jesus help the rich and big business? I think Jesus would make a big thing about how everyone should have gun, Jesus was all about aiming people.

  • So you are telling me that all Blind and lepers were cured by Jesus himself?

Sorry if jesus really did care about universal healthcare why do people die daily?

  • Well Jesus isn't real. But if you do believe in him, then you'd know that the answer is either God wanted them back, or God wanted them dead. And Jesus is helpless when God wants something. He's got a plan, and nothing is going to get in the way of that.

  • Jesus didn't cure all blind or sick and therefor he didn't care. An argument against all thought of what Christan morals. Jesus couldn't disapprove of gays or he could have cured them. Jesus could have made killing an unborn child kill the mother too. Pretty much any lessons learn from the writing of the new testament could be argued in this way. Though not well, an if one believe this argument they wouldn't be Christan. To be Christan should be to act like Christ and help the poor and sick.

  • God is a huge health insurance guy. Yup, he told me so just the other day. He wants people to die because they can't afford expensive health insurance because he is huge health insurance guy. Good day

  • dumb ass retarded american politics.

  • bbg5000 <- Works for Obama's Snitch Line.

  • lol i wish i was making money :P where can I sign up?

  • you people are absolutly mindless. There are other ways of lowering healthcare other then a huge govt program. People dont want to pay for this, whats hard to understand? Taking from the populus to give to a minority IS socialism. They can change regulation on how insurance is sold. This would put buying power back in the hands of consumers, increase competition, and lower costs. Please do research before supporting this crap so blindly.

  • u know what else is socialism? food stamps, welfare, etc. If you want a society without principles embedded in some level of social (or socialist) principle you have a bleak and timid society. Theres a difference between having social policies and being socialist. Where i come from we have free government health care and access to private health care far cheaper than yours. We also have a national insurance institution and a 88% positive approval rating of our HCS. Its not hard to do it right.

  • If by chance you are speaking about France. The reason their private insurance is so reasonable is because it has little or no Gov. regulations( a true free market system). Our private system is not a true free market system because our Government controls the resources and how they are used thru regulation, laws and mandates.

  • In France, you must pay for healthcare, it's taken out of your pay check. Insurers are non-profit agencies. They run more or less on a social insurance model. The wealthy pay more, the poor pay less. 96% of the population is covered by one of three main funds, depending on their work. 20% of hospitals are private for profit. And the more ill you are, the less you pay. Their system is pretty simple and straight forward. It's also cheaper than America's. This is not due to regulation.

  • Understand that your tax dollars are already being used to cover the uninsured when they visit the ER. This is insurance reform. Offering subsidies for those who cannot afford insurance. They can choose to use those subsidies towards a private plan or for the public option. The reason for the public option is because private insurers do not allow all Americans to receive coverage. The public option would be there for those who don't qualify for private insurance.

  • bbg5000 could almost think u are payed to talk good about Obama, haha. If not do some research before you make such dumb statements.

  • Like what statement? Please rebut.

  • Everyone else sees this video and sees that this guy is a complete snake, right?

  • I thought he was a misleading, dishonest, distrustful human passionately spreading mistruths and backing it up with religious script. But snake? That's kinda pushing it.

  • bbg5000 <- You have way too much time on your hands.

  • I don't know if that's good or bad. But I'm just passionate about this... even though the outcome will not directly affect me, I feel compelled to say something. There are millions of Americans who need this. I care about all people, and I'm not going to sit back while people muddy the water and line their pockets while the poor and sick (and future poor and sick) suffer from the greed of few. Morals? Values? Ethics? Or maybe just common sense. It would be wrong to not speak out.

  • Grow up and whip that pious grin off your face.

What? you can't have a discussion about health care until "no means no and yes means yes" Are you in Kindergarden? Go ahead and have an honest discussion already. It's like the Democrats are walking to the table with some ideas about various public plans and all the Republicans can come up with is "I like turtles".

It doesn't matter if you disagree with what the president wants personally. What really matters is what is in the bill.

  • Obama talks about not lie?hahaha epic. Why does he lie all the time, well mostly.Yeah if u need facts just look at his campaign and his previous words, contra his current politics

  • Obama is one of the most honest politicians in recent history.

  • THE MOST HONEST IN RESENT HISTORY???? Come on do your research on Obama before you you say something. He`s the most DISHONEST person. Look back on all of his campaign promises and his lectures before 2007 OMG some people I`ll tell you

  • I didn't say THE MOST honest, I said on one of them. Name some more honest presidents, of recent years. And remember, people can change their mind and political positions.

  • Honest? He said he wants a single payer system and we would have to start slowly. Then he said I never said I want a single payer. He said the stimulus would keep unemployment below 8% and there was NO pork or earmarks in it. Unemployment is 9.5% and read the prok and earmarks in the stimulus. He said he would cut the deficit and he has spent more money in 7 months then any President in history. How can you say he is honest? Of the 535 in Washington only a handfull I would say are honest.

  • Pork and earmarks are a good thing. If you were a Ron Paul supporter, a libertarian, or ever a fiscal conservative, you would support those. The rhetoric they use on those is to make them sound like they are bad, but it's not. I said he was one of the most honest politician in recent history. And he is a hell of a lot more honest than most politicians in recent history. Ron Paul would be the most honest. Opinion?

  • You guys screwed us out of healthcare in the 90s

but your not gona do it this time Repubs!!!!!!

  • It's not just the republicans. It's the democrats too. It's all greed. That's all it ever is.

  • Matthew 25: "Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.".

The US has the one of highest infant mortality rate among industrialized nations.

Now, ask yourself: Would Jesus accept that?

  • republican lies, they claim to be" the" Christians. The self righteous. They are pro gun, pro war and pro life. Now they are pro lier's.

  • Religion is a government takeover.

  • Did you notice that thus Video does not even bother claiming that they are not "bearing false witness". Instead responses with a clip of Obama, 2 years ago speaking to planned parenthood. Certainly, woman's reproductive health would be part of any health care. And it would be crazy to not have abortions for the woman's health not covered, but optional abortion coverage seems a bit fair for the governments plan, but then I don't know if the plan covers optional abortions or not.

  • If there's not going to be a single payer system.....or.....if there is no public option or ability to BUY a medicare policy when you're under 65....

Fuck it.....I hope they do absolutely nothing.

  • Critics charge that the public plan will be subsidized by the government. Here they have their facts wrong. Under every plan that's being discussed on Capitol Hill, subsidies go to individuals and families who need them in order to afford healthcare, not to a public plan. Individuals and families use the subsidies to shop for the best care they can find. They're free to choose the public plan, but that's only one option. They could take their subsidy and buy a private plan just as easily

  • Abortion may be legal but it's not something pro life taxpayers have to fund, that is illegal. check the hyde admendment.

  • And the amendments in this bill, Capps and Pitts. So you aren't paying. But your insurance premiums are paying for abortions! Yah, go support those anti lifers.

  • Good grief....when will these fundies crawl back under thier rock.

Abortion is legal, insurance pays for abortion.....and insurance program will pay for women's medical care....including abortion.

Get over yourselves. Nobody can force a woman to bear a child.... And, unless the government hires a person to be in EACH examing room, all over the U.S., what happens in there is between the woman and her physician....and rightly so.

If you don't like abortion, don't have one.

  • Its not government takeover.

    FRC is full of shit.

  • These widely propagated myths about healthcare reform need to end. It's not a government takeover of healthcare, its a government run insurance company; There is no rationing of care or "death panels"; The public option does not fund abortions; the public option does not cover illegal immigrants. All of these are facts, and a quick google search will confirm that. If you actually care about an issue, it is common sense to make sure you know the facts about it.

  • all of this finger-pointing bs is just smoke and mirrors...both sides are really in it together, it will be passed, and the doctors, pharmaceuticals, the insurance companies, and the lobbyists will be the only happy campers.

  • Anytime I hear someone using the bible to support their position I do the opposite of whatever they suggest.

  • Thank you Tony! Nice quote!

  • Let's review the Obama stooges' argument. - "Forty million Americans (i.e. 13 % of the population) do not have health insurance. Therefore, the federal government will take over healthcare (and screw 87 % of the American population who work hard and have health insurance)."

    Obamacare? No thank you.

  • You're already paying for those 13%. Why not make a plan they can afford? And think of all those people who do pay for health insurance, and yet get kicked off when they get sick. Those 13%.. they are the ones making your burgers, stocking your shelves, cleaning your house, driving your cabs. They are the ones working hard for you to have a convenient life, but fuck them. You could do that all yourself. If only you realized you are paying for them now, and this plan may lead to lower cost

  • Entitlement mentality ?

WTF are you talking about. !

As if Public Health insurance is free, and the sick guy cleaning toilets has nothing to do with people eating in restaurants.

This is our country and WE THE PEOPLE do with it what is best for ALL us.

  • Sure try to pull out the religious card. Take a look at your administration, and then maybe after you fire them all, then maybe you can act holier than thou !!!

  • Tony Perkans...another mental case obcessed with abortion but also obcessed with war and killing of innocent children in Iraq and Afganistan

  • I have conversed with alot of elders my age, of diferent ethnicity, of different faith, but we do all agree on one subject. Were all 60 years +, were baby boomers, we spent our whole lives providing for you so you would not want. This is not about Partys, Ethnics, Race, or Religion. Rather than argue and get our minds set. Did you ask your guardians what they think? You can destroy everything we worked for. If we went through 12 years of Republicans, whats the rush? Thank you.

  • Tony Perkins is pawn for the conservative/corporatist party. He is a manipulative, neo-evangelical, greedy, sheep. He is a follower of Washington D.C., not Christ. Can't believe anyone would believe anything coming out of his mouth.

  • I can't believe anyone would believe anything coming out of Obama's mouth or any of his administration, Czars. etc. What a heap of sh!t that comes from all of them!!!

  • If Obamacare is so wonderful, how come Congress is opting out of it?

  • because Aetna, Wellpoint, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and UnitedHealth are bribing Congress to give them more bailouts, subsidies, and favorable regulations. In this case, Republicans and "conservative" Democrats.

  • Self righteous bigotry is what this video is.

You would simply ask people to not even consider the bill because of abortions? then modify it, ask that insurance doesn't help with abortions and don't bring that argument here again for no reason.

Death counseling was removed im sure this can too, this insurance reform is needed.

  • Happy Ramadan and many happy decapitations!

  • There've been many attempts to definitively exclude abortion from the bill, but the Democrats have rejected every one. Until the promotion of wholesale slaughter of innocent unborn babies is excluded, we must keep this bill from passing. We must end this Holocaust.

  • So? Who cares abortions are important, no one is proud of it it sucks but they are needed. And who the heck are you anyway you are breaking your back on just this one video.

  • If my tax dollars are going to pay for it without my say in the matter, then those of us who know abortion kills innocent human beings don't want to be forced to pay for it like we are already doing at the state level!

If abortion is as you anti-life people say "a choice" and you want an abortion or support abortion, then it should be "a choice" that those who do not support it should not pay for it!

  • No sometimes we all pay for things we don't want your tax dollars have fueled the war so did mine you cant be entitled to everything and if you are against abortions im not how come this makes you more right than me.

If you are so pro life then at least swallow your uncompromising pride and help some people pay for their health without ruining the rest of their lives.

Considering the problems of the US abortion can go on a backurner lol

  • This is the problem with the entitlement mentality!

With my tax dollars, I AM ALREADY paying for healthcare for all of the ILLEGALS, those on Medi-cal and those who want to kill their own children!

People should WORK and PAY for it themselves.

You don't see me whining for people to pay for my health insurance!

As for funding the war versus funding abortion, it seems that to you killing unborn people is OK as long as it suits your agenda instead of being against ALL killing.

  • "People should WORK and PAY for it themselves."

And not a word in your screed about Wall Street bankers getting bailed out with trillions of dollars. Instead you are outraged your tax dollars might help some poor person?

"killing unborn people is OK as long as it suits your agenda"

That's what you believe isn't it?

  • We are not talking about the Wall Street bailout which I was against! We are talking about government taking over healthcare.

Nice try with the guilt trip! Like I said I ALREADY PAY FOR THEM!

And unlike you, I am against ALL killing because it is wrong. I don't say I am only against the killing in wars but I proudly support killing innocent lives in the womb!

  • Isa 3:14

  • Nobody proudly supports abortion. But it is necessary in some circumstances. Your tax payer dollars pay for a lot of things that are unnecessary. But HEALTHCARE is really important. If some DRASTIC isn't done with healthcare reform, you'll see more and more of your tax dollars going to healthcare. But with a few difficult steps in the right direction, healthcare spending can be reduced while coverage is increased to include everyone. Private insurers will get competitive.

  • We are pissed off about THAT too...and you called us tea baggers,...Bush was no smallgov conservative...he expanded the Fed governemtn as much as any other liberal would do....except Obama now...he topped him big time, 13 % w.out healthcare doesn't mean we put in the FEDS hands...look what they have done with Social Security. We need reform and we want reform...but Not governement takeover. Left dems are making a huge mistake isolating independents and we are going to let them know ...elections

  • Thats not the whole point of healthcare. It's about insuring more Americans, bringing down costs and treating more people. This will lead to less spending on healthcare by the government. Social security should be the next big thing Obama tackles, but we have to get through healthcare first. And those 13% are already in the governments hands. They just want to make it more efficient. This isn't a government takeover. Please educate yourself and come back and debate. Thanks.

  • Well no point of arguing with you all you see is people hiding in bushes trying to ambush your RIGHT way of life.

  • None of your tax dollars go to abortions women choose. Your tax dollars do kill Iraqi children. But they are brown, so you probably don't mind. Some people can't work. But you probably don't care about people who can't even feed themselves. Those retards should have been aborted, rather than leech of your tax dollars, right? You obviously don't need health insurance. But if you did and couldn't get it, like lets say you had cancer before you signed up for your plan, you'd prolly be mad.

  • Some abortions are medically necessary. Those abortions are funded. Guess what. Elective abortions, abortions women CHOOSE to have, without a medical reason, THOSE are NOT FUNDED by your TAX dollars. Not. Wont be. It's not in the bill. It wont be in the bill. Please read the bill.

  • I try to have one private holocaust per day. I put the bodies in a napkin and toss it in the trash.

  • You're not listening. ABORTION is not in this bill. It is excluded. Amendment have been in there for WEEKS. Please PLEASE GO READ THE BILL!! By the way, the holocaust ended 60 years ago. Remember, around the time HITLER died. And white supremacists are conservatives. Please stop slandering the democrats and misleading the people. The democrats did not reject every one. Go to the republican's official website and read. You'll see there is NO ABORTION FUNDING in the bill. NONE.

  • Since you seem to know abortion is not in the bill, why don't you post the exact text from the bill where this Amendment clearly states ABORTION will be EXCLUDED. Please included page and section so people can read the EXACT words! Not your interpretation.

And why you are at it why don't you stop misleading people by slandering conservatives?

  • It's too long to post. Just google search the Capps Amendment. Read it. No tax dollars go towards elective abortions.

In the bill, it is section 113(b) 122(d), 241(c). How am I misleading?

  • How are you mis-leading? Here:

Page 2 Section 4 (B) of Capp Amendment Abortions for which public funding is allowed.

The services described in the subparagraph, are abortions for which expenditure of Federal funds appropriated for the Department of Health and Human Services is permitted.

The Capp Amendment was authored by democrat Lois Capp who cast 74 votes during her career to promote abortion or stop attempts to limit abortions.

  • -explicitly permits the Sec. of HHSD to include abortion in the services offered by public option & requires abortion coverage in the government health plan if the Hyde amendment is ever reversed.

-specifically requires taxpayer subsidies to flow to plans that include abortion, but creates an accounting scheme designed to give the impression that public funds will not subsidize abortion.

-also requires that a plan that includes abortion be made available in every region of the country.

  • You are making the assumption that the Hyde Amendment will be reversed. There is not a plan to reverse such an amendment, or the many other amendments which prohibit such funding. It's segregates subsidies so tax dollars are not used to fund abortions in private plans. If this is not added, than the government would be taking away peoples right to choose any plan they wish. Where in the capps amendment does it say abortion must available in all regions?

  • And you should be fighting against the private insurers who offer abortion coverage, not the government. This bill does NOT say it will subsidize abortions with tax dollars through private plans. The Hyde Amendment is a strong piece of legislation that has successfully passed for the last 30+ years. There is no presage that it will reversed. It's akin to worrying the second amendment will be repealed. Please wipe the crazy of your keyboard so you can type some common sense.

  • You are misleading by posting that without context. Those abortions permitted by DHHS are medically necessary, or in cases of rape, or incest, which I have pointed out many many times. Unless you've been raped by your father or had an ectopic pregnancy, leave it between the victim and her doctor. The paragraph before that Section 4 (A) states the exact opposite. That public funding will be prohibited where not permitted by law.

  • From Factcheck

The NRLCs Johnson said "the bill backed by the White House (H.R. 3200) explicitly authorizes the government plan to cover all elective abortions."

And our analysis shows that Johnsons statement is correct. Though we of course take no position on whether the legislation should allow or not allow coverage for abortions, the House bill does just that.

  • Capps states that some abortions "shall" be covered by the "public option" plan...types of abortions that Congress allows to be covered under Medicaid...Hyde Amendment...attached to appropriations bills for years.

As for other types of abortions, ...the sec. of HHS decides whether or not they will be covered.

It says, "Nothing in this Act shall be construed as preventing the public health insurance option from providing" abortion services that would not be legal for Medicaid coverage.

  • I love to hear the Insurance Companies 2 main arguments:

    1) The Public Option will be absolutely horrible. There'll be long lines, & long waiting lists for examinations, test, & operations & they'll even have people wanting to kill you & your relatives. It'll be totally disgusting.

    And their 2nd argument:

    2) If the public option is put into place people will always be rushing to get into the Public Option & we won't be able to compete.

If (1) is true, then (2) can' t possibly be true.

  • There's no contradiction. People WILL end up being forced into the public option, and it WILL be horrible. How are these incompatible?

  • Nobody is being forced into the public option. Did you know that the government runs this thing called the united states postal service. USPS. Did you know there are also companies that do the same thing, and compete quite well with USPS, even though taxpayer dollars are used to fund it. Wow. How does that work? UPS, what can brown do for you? FedEx is on time. DHL is on it. Also, private insurers have an advantage of offering what the public plan does not.

  • Read pages 15-16 of the bill and see how eventually everyone will be forced onto the public plan!

  • Perkins is the one BEARING FALSE WITNESS, by splicing up Hilary's comments, which were NOT about the health care bill. She was speaking before the House Foreign Affairs Committee as Secretary of State about issues regarding United Nations funding of abortion. That is different and fair debate to have, but don't lie! See full transcript on house's website on 4/22/2009.

  • Doesn't really matter to whom she was talking - her words express the official position of the administration that they consider abortion to be basic healthcare.

  • Her words are about United Nations policies not domestic health care. So its a flat out lie to say abortion is part of the health care bill. But I know lying does work sometimes. So keep lying!

  • Hit the crazy bible thumping conservatives with the commandments!

  • What a hypocrite. Perkins frequents prostitutes and yet quotes scripture. Perkins is the poster child for the new lunacy of the republican party.

  • Maybe you are referring to David Vitter, whom Mr Perkins supported for Senate I believe. Although if you have proof of such acts by Perkins, please share. Or else please stop smearing people without showing facts. And if I remember correctly, Jesus had a lil thing going on with this one prostitute. But that was almost 2000 years ago, I can't really remember. Im sure I wrote about it in a book or something.. hmm..

  • Republicans! Please stop LYING about health care.

Republican's non stop continuous lying is going to cost them even more dearly in 2010. LIAR republicans will not be tolerated by the American people.

  • You can't be republican and Christian at the same time. Jesus would want a diabetic to have affordable health care so a later amputation could be avoided.

  • Really jesus told you that? Where in the bible does it say that? There is no mention of healthcare in the bible. nice try buddy.

This is coming from a guy that isn't even christian. I just have read the bible

  • You know, Jesus DID give free healthcare to the sick, poor and needy. He also encouraged people to help each other. But, since you only interpret it as you wish, you probably think you can only help lepers and the blind. It's sad that only the simple minded follow religion. Or else they would see that just because Jesus didn't say "health care for everyone is something I could get behind" doesn't mean that he's against it. Damn, Jesus never said anything about gay marriage..or gays.

  • Utter nonsense.

  • Perkins got busted for seeing two prostitutes about 6 months ago, but no one is talking about it. I guess it wasn't so bad, i.e. hypocritical, in light of his friends' transgressions... male prostitutes and hardcore drug use. Can we all just stop listening to these moral hypocrites? Does anyone doubt that people are actually lying about the Congressional healthcare proposals? Please. Perkins, go back to your prostitutes. They'll at least pretend to believe you.

  • Show me the details on that story!

  • Diffidatio can't cite details on a story that is a LIE. Can't you make a point without falsely attempting to discredit someone?

  • Fuck this NEO KKKRISTIANS. REPUBLIKKKANTS PIECES OF SHIT! This guys are playing all you Christ lovers. It is a fucking JOKKKE...

  • Before we go spending 1.6 trillion dollar Est. It will be more like 3 trillion. We can deregulate the parts of the system that have cut conpetition giving Insurance monopolies in each state. More competition in insurance markets would be a good thing. It would, "keep insurers honest". As it has with other goods and services, it would lead to lower prices and improved quality.

True competition comes from expanding free markets, not from the heavy hand of government

  • Go look at insurance premiums in every other developed country, which all have health care for all. You know what. It's cheaper. FAR cheaper. And that's for coverage ON TOP of your government coverage. You don't seem to understand that insurance companies don't ALLOW just ANYONE to get coverage. The poor can't, the sick can't. It doesn't affect the insurance companies bottom line. It affects the governments. Its too bad you had to grow up with one of the worst K12 systems in the modern world.

  • lol and you want the same people who run (the worst)K12 system to run our HC.brilliant

  • They also run the best space program on earth. One of the best postal services. But you know what, I'll just give in. You're right. America can't do anything right. They fail at everything. Which is more reason to follow what more SUCCESSFUL countries are doing. Such as the public option. By the way, you don't HAVE to go to public school. Just like you don't HAVE to go on the public option. And just think.. a lot of your tax dollars pay for PRIVATE schools too!!!

  • the postal service in in debt.you are right i don't HAVE to go to public school but i do HAVE to pay for it.americans do many, many things right, our pols and government seem to have the problem getting things right

  • The thing is, government isn't meant to turn a profit, because people don't think they should be in business. So even though you have some of the best business minds at your disposal, there's this expectation not to turn a profit, but rather to sink money in, and get good value out of it. Education is a requirement for any country to succeed and it is the responsibility of all to ensure that the young are taken care of. Or else the future falls flat.

  • Part of being a member of a society is that you contribute to it. In modern societies, we do that through the use of taxes. Just because you may or may not use a particular service that the government fund, doesn't mean you should be allowed to dictate where it is or is not spent. Or opt in or out. If everyone decided not to pay taxes, and let the free market choose, you'd find that people wouldn't voluntarily contribute to society. Some people WOULD contribute less, meaning others spend more.

  • Jesus would PUKE if he were listening to this right now. I do not understand how these bastards call themselves christians. Oh yeah, they're intellectually crippled by fundamentalism.

  • I agree with you. If jesus ever existed, he's probably ready to come back and abolish America.

  • The USA is pretty damn awesome compared to a lot of places, but we ain't perfect by a damn sight.

I'm an agnostic, but a retired Catholic. I studied theology and I just get very scared when people like this dolt "know" the mind of god. That's F-ing scary stuff, and its led to this neo-crusade we have floundering in muslim lands.

The whole mindset of fundies isn't worthy of respect, since it tends to ignore empiricism COMPLETELY. And they ignore a lot of stuff JC was adamant about.

  • No country is perfect on any scale.

Religion nowadays takes place in cafeteria style.

Most people are too ignorant to learn their oppositions stance.

Most people accept what they hear and see in the media as fact. When it's really just news catered to how you want to hear it.

  • So now you're making our argument for us? The uncritical acceptance of what the media says is exactly how we got into this mess when we elected Obama.

  • I don't know what you are saying. And yes, it's the uncritical acceptance of ANY information that causes the ignorance of many. You have to listen to both sides, fact check, and then make your own conclusion with your noggin, not your gut.

  • bbg5000 - "Yada, yada, Bush, yada, yada, Bush, yada, yada, Bush, yada, yada, ...."

bbg5000 <- "Blame Bush" doesn't fly. The Gang of Three (Pelosi, Reid, and Obama) are in charge now, and the government is out of control.

  • I don't give a shit about Bush, but you're saying Obama has a 9 trillion dollar deficit. He doesn't. You're an idiot. I wish you would open your eyes and realize the excesses of your country are bringing you down. You're dollar is falling, you're economy is the slowest to recover. You've been on a road to destruction for years. Bill Clinton was posting surpluses. Bush posted deficits, IN TIME OF GROWTH. He lowered taxes for the rich to cover healthcare for all. USA = almost BANKRUPT.

  • Really wish you'd keep your foreign comments to yourself. If you want a credible voice in this, become a US citizen. Otherwise, butt out of our affairs.

  • We're currently occupying two countries. We have hundreds of military bases all over the world. Don't you think it's a little late to be asking foreigners to butt out of OUR affairs?

  • Unlike you, I actual care about people, no matter where they are from. And since I have much experience with socialized medicine, an outsiders perspective, and a worldly view, I don't need US citizenship to fight for the American people. But you are on of those arrogant Americans. You realize that it's global participation that makes America great. We back you up in war, aid you in crisis, but now I can butt out? This is why the world has slowly learned to hate you. Smarten up.

  • Isn't it nice, he can quote scripture, talking about abortion. What an Idiot !! He's trying to play Americans. We know better. Now suddenly he's religious, NOT !!!!

  • Obama <- 9 trillion dollar deficit.

    So, Obamacare will "reduce costs"?

    Yea riiiiight.

  • Bush added 4.2 trillion dollars to the national debt, pushing it over the 10 trillion mark. Over 1 trillion in his last year. This is because of the enormous cost of the iraq war, health care, social security and interest. Obama HAS lowered the cost of the war. He is trying to lower healthcare costs with this reform. The next big item is social security. These are all problems that have been known for years but no president has tackled until now. You should be happy.

  • The Senate plan is after the State of Mass. Mass. the highest healthcare cost in the Country. Their subsidised plan cost taxpayers $27,000 per family of 4, while average employer plan cost $12,680. Quality? look at The VA riddled w/ problems, medicaid nortorios for poor quality at high cost, Medicare has huge gaps. Out of pocket expence up to $4200

and Part D gap $2600. Do you really trust the Gov. to tell the truth?
