I'm amazed anyone in the US has even heard of this sitcom, it wasn't repeated very much in the UK.

LOL! Well, they showed it a few times MANY years ago on KCET (Public Television station in Los Angeles) and I never forgot it. I know I have the tapes somewhere that I made. When I saw that it was available at Amazon co uk, I snatched it up! I wish they'd release more seasons from this show. It's so fun and Michael Elphick and Angela Thorne are priceless.

They are both wonderful actors, it's a shame this series never got the recognition it deserved.

The actor playing Elphick's son went on to co-star in an excellent BBC drama called Manchild, well worth getting hold of if you can (the first series is the best one).
