one of the announcers(which i think is bob varsha) said there were 13 cars involved in the crash...the actual number involved was 27 and you could clearly see at least 17 in that wod long after the wreck had ended and many cars drove away, i dont know where he got that number.
Was a group of Regional Sports Networks in the late 80's early 90's. Had a disastarous NHL contract with horrible ratings. The RSN's were bought by FOX and other media (Comcast). Prime now known as Fox Sports Net.
The problem PRIME always had was when they covered racing a bunch was done on tape delay and you pretty much never knew when you would see an event. I used to look forward to watching Super Dirt Week @ Syracuse and wouldn't see it until at least December in my area.
BOB VARSHA FTW!!!

Greg Sacks ran that paint scheme in the Busch series since he did most of Tom Cruise's stunt driving for Days of Thunder.

what network covered this race?
battalionfan888 3 years ago
Prime, which did Busch races,Limited Sportsman races and other events I can't remember at the moment.
And the announcers are Bob Varsha and Johnny Hayes.
SimRacin14 3 years ago
That was the 1st of 5 straight years that Dale Earnhardt won the Busch (now Nationwide) race at Daytona (1990-1994)

One of them sounds helluva lot like Darrel Waltrip.
Temiree 4 years ago 2
That's Johnny Hayes not Darrell Waltrip. Darrell Waltrip did crash out of the wreck and Neil Bonnett spoke to him.
