We think it tastes great...definitely not like mud spinach :). We have not heard of kidney problems from eating tomato with spinach. Some vegetables, like spinach, when eaten in excess may cause problems but not if eaten moderately.
protein??? wha you must be kidding me your cooking a spinach and chicken on 300 degree thinking that all the protein is still gonna be there ...well dont talk healthy when you dont know shit
Was the spinach already cooked when you added it? Can't tell if it was fresh and raw when you added it... If I have a package of fresh spinach, would I just add it like you show in the video and let the spinach cook with the rest of the ingredients?
Garam Masala is a combination of spices, usually cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, bay leaf, etc. It is used with other spices as well. Curry powder is a one spice combo invented in the West - so you don't have to use all the spices. It has turmeric in it so is usually yellow.
Well, we don't have the "masala" available for sale, but we do have the next best thing...making it yourself in bulk and storing it. When you get a chance, check out "How to Make Punjabi Masala in Bulk" on our website under the "odds and ends" section.
Also, Turmeric powder is used for 2 reasons, one, color and second is for medicinal properties. In this case, the color of the spinach is beautiful and we want to keep it. But there is no harm in using some.
With all due respect to your efforts, you are ruining the reputation of Indian cooking and this recipe. You do not know how to cook this recipe.

Hi I have 2 doubts....1. If you add the spinach at the end of the phase, the aroma and taste will like something like mud-spinach?
2. Is it good for kidney - while taking the tommoto + Spinach --> Dont mind I heard that will cause for kidney problems[Stones in Kidney]?

The spinach is raw when we put it in the pan. Spinach cooks really fast hence no prior cooking is required.

So what's your recipe for Chicken Curry with spinach, then? :)

These ladies seem so nice, why be mean just because you like more spice than them?

Instead of chopping 6 tomatoes, can this be done with a can of chopped tomatoes? like you used for the spicy chicken curry recipe?
rosh314 3 years ago
Yes, you can use canned diced or crushed tomatoes. We suggest that you use 2 X 14.5 oz cans, as the quantity is more because of the spinach.

Wow. That's different. I'm more used to 'filipino style' curry, which is made with coconut milk. This looks equally good though, I'll give it a shot.

Thanks for all the recipes, I love indian food and the videos make the process of learning how to prepare them so easy...
we are vegetarians, so I prepared this specific dish substituting the chicken with diced potatoes, some mushrooms and tofu... It was delicious!
Looking forward to the next one!
