1. I think it works on the first two PSPs (the original and the 2000), not sure about the 3000 though, you'll have to ask around.

2. PSX is the unofficial name for the original PlayStation, and has nothing to do with the PS2.

I'm sorry that I can't tell you if it works on the 3000 or not.

hey, great vid - straight forward, easy to follow. helped me out loads, i really wanted this emu on my psp. i used a ff7 iso (ofc :]) but after i load the game, thescreen stays dark after the ps1 logo comes up. i didnt have control over my psp either, it just crashed so i had to remove the battery and restart. any idea what happened? im using v. 3.30 OE-A. have i done something mind-numbingly moronic?

The best POPSloader to use is the one recommended for your firmware.

When in a game, press the Home button and look for the controller configuration. It will tell you what buttons are R2 and L2.

And might you know why I'm not getting the other one or where I might have gone wrong. The game starts but then freezes as I choose the difficulty level (resient evil 3). Intro movie works but no game.

You don't need to do the whole process again, simply just do the installing games part. If you update, you have to replace the popsloader dot prx in the seplugins folder with the one that corresponds to your firmware.

dude you eed to stop updating your firmware every time a new firmware is released. Learn how to make a pandora battery and magic memory stick and downgrade the firmware and install custom firmwareor just get a PS3 and you can play ps1 games on psp via ps3 =)

the only thing is the ps3 thing is very expensive unless you already have one. It would be simpler and less expensive to just attempt to preform the battery trick yourself. You can go on google and type in "how to make pandora battery" and see what comes up.

ive go 3.90 M33-3 and i converted and BIN/CUE to and EBOOT using the popstation GUI and i even got the 3.80 popsloader which is suppos to work with 3.90 m33. The game works but the problem is the size of the screen is small. i even used PSX2PSP converter too and got the same problem. any suggestions on how to fix this

I can't thank you enough for the in depth walkthrough. I had a bit of problems when it came to extracting the rar files. I had to convert the .iso file to .img. After a bit of surfing, I was able to find a program to convert. Once i did that, everything worked like a charm. Once again, thank you so very much!!!!!! when you got your ps1 game did u rename the folder in psp/game/ to exactly how you got it 4 me i dl a game wich was in zip folder and the name of that zip folder is what i called my folder in psp/game/(my game folder).

Obviously, you don't have a custom firmware so you won't have recovery mode nor will this video work for you.

When you were asked to select what POPSLoader you wanted to use, did you choose 3.30?

3.30 is the one that works best.

It's part of the button configuration. On one of the configs, you use 2 of the D-Pad buttons for R1 and R2.

Im Using PSP Slim 3.80 M-33?, I red some forums, It says if you put PSX on PSP you should have 1.50Version if you have 3XX your PSP will brick, AND NOT FOR PSP SLIM!, So Err, Can it work for me?

Well the forums are wrong.

YOU NEED a 3.XX custom firmware (OE/M33) and your PSP wont brick unless you botch-up while upgrading to a cfw.

1.50 is not for the Slim (unless you use Time Machine to install 1.50 with 3.40 hardware modules) but the plugins work with the Slim.
