Besides, this is the first and last time Sebastian is even allowed out of Vorlon space in a long time. So your analogy of Sebastian being a "Satan" doesnt hold up, as he is there to ONLY verify significance not to demoralize.

i enjoy this interpretation very much so, and i agree totally!!! in my opinion, Sebastian represents the absolute truth of the undying self... and him drilling her brain like this is very similar to what some gurus do to show people their true nature. of course, gurus dont hurt people physically like this sebastian buddy... not the really good ones at least :( :(

one of my fav episodes. when this one was on tv the commercial breaks seemed to drag on forever. by this point in the story the scale of what was unfolding was becoming more clear.

This was at the end of season 2 and the scope of the series didn't become clear until half-way through season 3.

So unless you actually read up on ancient Babylon (as much of the series is based on) while the series FIRST aired, then you  are either smarter than most people or completely stupid.

i watched it while it was first airing, and i would say the penny dropped for me well before the episode featured here. by the time Emperor Turhan died (episode 9 season 2) i knew i was watching an epic saga, not merely a character drama.
