  • shows how much of a faggot tevez is. celebrating in front of united fans rather than the city fans.

  • the most captivating Carling cup tie IN AGES. I nearly lost my voice in this game. Ohh man the memories are still amazing.

  • SCHOLES!

  • this is what called world class football

  • Probably the greatest Carling Cup Semi-Final tie I have ever watched. Rooney was the best striker on the planet that year, and still haunts me that he was a bluenose like me.

    Everton Fan! :D

  • @FootballJudgey94 How could Rooney be the best striker on the planet that year when Drogba won the golden boot?

  • @alexchelseafan

Rooney scored 30+ that year in all competitions and set up a lot of United's rhythm and flow in their passing that year. He guided United to the Carling Cup single handedly, Got Manchester United through tough Champions League games like AC Milan with 2 away goals. He stuck out in a bad team that year. Drogba was amazing too, but he was part of a team which helped him along the way. Rooney was alone that year!

  • @alexchelseafan

Drogba may have got the Golden Boot, but Rooney got the PFA Player of the Year. I would rather have that trophy because it signifies that you were better than every other player that year

  • @FootballJudgey94 And dont forget that Rooney was the penalty taker for Man Utd and Drogba scored all of his goals expcept 1 without penalties. For me Drogba is always better than Rooney.

  • @alexchelseafan ALWAYS better than Rooney? I put the emphasis on ALWAYS. That's a big, big call. But then again, you're a Chelsea fan. You're going to say that mate :D

  • @alexchelseafan who won pfa player of the year Rooney, just cause u scored the most goals dosent mean ur the best in the world and anyway drogba had mainly easy goals from 2 yards

  • 2:00 rooney :D

  • carling cup doesnt really matter

  • @TheRafaelBond Both teams were putting everything into it which is what made it such a great game.

  • @TheRafaelBond

    Well for some, yeah.

But I also remember Manchester United winning the 2006 Carling Cup and then went on to win three straight EPL titles, 2009 Carling Cup, 2008 UEFA Champions League, 2009 and 2011 UCL runners-up to Barcelona, 4 FA Community Shields and 2008 FIFA Club World Cup.

  • @joesakic91 so?? haha they also woulda won the rest if they lost i think

  • @TheRafaelBond

Carling Cup is part of the trophy cabinet and it also makes a club much more hungrier and determined to win more trophies down the road.

Manchester United did it, Liverpool did it.

  • @joesakic91 its pretty anoying,i hope they get rid of it..
