My chruch in Lewisburg recently did an Easter play based on these real life events. Because of the awesome power of God, this tribe was forgiven. Mincayani still lives today in Equador and he visits the U.S. regularly to see Steve(the missionary's son). He plays with their grandchildren and rocks them to sleep even though HE killed their great-grandfather. The power and love of Jesus Christ is shown SO strongly n this movie, my mother was able to find christ after seeing our performance!!!!!!!!!
