Your inability to deal with infinites prove that you're bad. Infinites are used more for positioning or reset setups than actual damage anyway. Just learn the game. Infinites are not the huge hurdle they seem when first learning.

Spamming is a skill. I've found throughout my attempts to get into more competitive gaming that there is no such thing as cheapness. There's only frustration one feels when they lose. If someone thinks that all they need to do is win is repeat the same move over and over and his opponent does nothing to make that person change his tactics, then it shows more for that person's lack of skill than the person spamming. Most everything in fighting games is counterable; it just takes some thought.

Like I said earlier, I don't exactly know what goes through the heads of the guys at SRK when they make these tier lists, even less so now that I don't really care about tournament-style playing, but if you can make a "low-tier" character work whenever you play, I'd say go ahead and use him.

In their defense though, all of his assists seem pretty useless (In addition to the other points I made earlier).

Since there seems to be a bit of controversy (at least on these videos) concerning Spidey's low-tier placement, here's some insight into it:

Spidey for one thing has low stamina; in a higher tier match, Iron Man's super can take at least 1/3 of his health off if unblocked. Also, most of his supers are "throw" based, meaning you have to hit with the first part to continue damaging your opponent and it's easily countered if it misses (see 1st note). Plus, he's fast, but Magneto & Storm are faster.

hmmm... I would definitely pick one of these team depend on the style of gameplay needed:

Ruby or Iceman or Megaman, Blackheart, Commando

Rogue, Blackheart, Tron Bonne or Colosus

Venom, Juggernaut, Samourai
